I honestly have absolutely no complaints. The casino is clean and I citing. Breakfast was superb and the chef is very very professional and happy. The front desk was warm and friendly. The bar was great too!

A very good hotel with a very good environment. I especially recommend the restaurant in the hotel. There is a ** when you turn right when you go out. I didn't go in, but it looks good

There is a Friday steak house when you turn left when you go out. The price is expensive, but the taste is good

Every company, every place, has there good and bad apples, unfortunately hodelpa is not the exception and there is 1 lady at the front desk that she was not very welcoming towards the guest and it was uncomfortable for me if i had an issue having to speak to her

Wow what an experience! I’ve stayed in many hotels and resorts especially in Dominican Republic. I can truly say this hotel is top notch. The quality in everything from rooms, bathrooms, service, all has been amazing

Last weekend I stayed at this hotel and I liked it very much especially its view of the city is beautiful, it is central, incredible attention, it is in the city and its location is perfect

Since it's surrounded by many trees, some bugs are expected but this is not reason for the 4 stars rating. The pool, although very cool, needs some rework

Great place for a weekend getaway! The surroundings are beautiful and the views are breath-taking. This is a family administered place, so they make you feel like home since day 1

The place has WiFi which was a surprise for a place in the mountains, but the signal strength was off in some of the rooms located on the far end of the place

Besides this, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return soon!

For the price of $160 USD per night, the hotel was not worth it, even with 2 complementary bottles of water and free airport shuttle. Pool area is nice, with many places to lounge, chill

I even had to take a selfie with them because they’re that amazing! Our favorite servers and bartenders—Joshua, Hansel, Vicente, Ivelisse, Julissa, and one other whose name I unfortunately forgot—always go above and beyond to make our stay special

I love it here. Very clean and the staff is very professional and very nice. It is right in front of the monument which is very historic and it is located right in the center of Santiago. I would recommend it to everyone

I visited the Chinese restaurant Jade. Excellent food and service inside or outside. Part of the National Chain Jade.

The hotel isn't anything to write home about, but the service is great and the food was very good. The corn cream, pulpo, breakfast items like their traditional DR brekkie or chilaquiles were all tasty and well made

Wonderful food at reasonable price. Beautiful views and good service. Lamb in coconut rice was delicious (see photo), the Tortilla soup was spicy and yummy. We ordered 5 dishes and 5 out of 5 dishes were excellent

Unico en RD o El Caribe, su vista, su clima, el Ambiente, decoracio. Y comida lo hace la diferncia en la Republica Dominicana...

The only thing I ordered that didn't wow was their ribeye, but perhaps that's just my spoiled American talking

Perhaps if it were cooked in the goat stew it would be much tastier. The crostini had a great taste, but it’s ground meat on toast after all. The octopus was very nice: well cooked with a delicious celery root puree

The owners Yesenia and her husband treat us real nice, corteous so nice that we felt like we were home, very amicable and attentive with with ours concerns and questions sorrounding local business and places, I will comeback to this place on my next and any trips and will recommend it to my friends and family

Pretty quiet and chill place. Food is excelent and the service even more. Rooms are simple but comfortable, only downside i can think of is that there isnt hot water on the shower.

A great hideway in the hills in Jarabacoa. Spacious rooms with everything you might need. Beautiful setting with a nice pool surrounded by lush forest. A short drive to the town of Jarabacoa

My husband, three old son and I visited this hidden gem for two nights. The service was impeccable, the staff was amazing and our entire experience was straight out of a travel magazine

Vanessa and David are great hosts. The Villa is in a beautiful location. It's very peaceful and relaxing. My husband and I spent our wedding night at the Villa and all was perfect

Large welcoming compound a short way down a dirt road. Has excellent food, a little river to take a dip, many activities organized here. Public transport at the main road. Suitable for large families or solo travelers

SubcampDR is a wonderful place to experience the real Dominican Republic. The staff is wonderful mainly the owner/manager Diane Pellerin. She's committed to making every person feel welcome and a part of the family

If you are looking for a Real Dominican experience I highly recommend Suncamp. I cannot wait to schedule my next visit and enjoy another Sancocho Feista with all the wonderful people I met while visiting

The facilities are excellent she has upgraded the rooms and the there is hot water and excellent Wi-Fi and food if you want it. It's a comfortable place to stay for a long time or a couple of days

Of course guests are also welcome to simply lounge by the bankor swim in the beautiful river that runs right through Suncamp. She even provides a library free of charge of all her guests

We are not expecting 5star hotel as we are paying a hostel price. Host is very nice, Diana try to answer all my questions regarding transports to another place, taxi and others before we even arrive

Pool table facility in the socialization area where you can mingle with other travellers. You must like dogs and cats as they roam free in the area. Some apartment is on the hill, just beware if u can't walk up

Location is perfect if you love nature and away from the hustle n bustle of the town. It's 10 minutes away from town and in a village where you don't see tourist

Can use Uber to go beach or town which is like 120-150Pesos. Public bus available but didn't use so can't comment

This is still one of the best eco hotels in the area. The constant background sound of the river is very relaxing, and they have multiple pools, including jacuzzi and a heated pool

Great location and loved the waterside bar and restaurant. Very relaxing and natural beauty. Service is poor and little English spoken. Had to move rooms because of the ongoing disco by the pool area

They are eager to please with limited resources or guidance. It took two workers and too many minutes to get a price on an item in their display. The menu is priced above average for the city but I enjoy the food

Here again back after a year or so and I can truly say you get what you pay for. This definitely once was a grand hotel and is now awaiting new investors. They believe in their product more than their bosses

Were it not for the beautiful Jimenoa river running past in mighty splendor there would be no reason for not running out of here

However, the rooms need some upgrading as most of the equipment won't work properly and some can smell of humidity

The food is delicious, the rooms are very nice and confortable, the beach and the pool are beautiful, as well as the landscape towards the beach

I stayed here for 3 days in April 2018. The reviews about disrepair are accurate and some of the food is just average. That said, the staff was perfectly polite and helpful. Despite the disrepair, the place is immaculate

The buffets are a solid B+ if you pick the right things (target made-to-order stuff). One of the groundskeepers gave me a coconut today after he cut it from a tree

At 55$ a night, this place was an UNBELIEVABLE deal and I do not understand the venom in some of these negative reviews

While writing this review, some random elderly man walked into the lobby piano and started playing concert-quality

The staff and the service are great and the night presentations are really interesting. I strongly recommend this place to relax on vacation as you feel home

This Hotel was so dope sooo unique, you'll see it when you go, it's not a typical hotel the owner was very charismatic the staff were very polite and provided great service

Beach bar and coffee shops deserve a full 5 stars. The water has some algae, but it has nothing to do with the resort. Walk a bit to the left and it is better. Some entrainment by the pool, but we prefer the beach

i had such a great experience staying at viva heavens this july. this is more of a family friendly resort. it has a great view from the beach & clean. lots of day and night entertainment

extremely sweet, friendly & accommodating staff. especially the bartenders & the viva vibe boys! food was great & filling especially as me being a vegetarian. drinks were always appreciated & well made

Overall a very nice resort, I have stayed at nicer Viva Wyndham spots in DO (Dominicus Palace) but overall it was great to try somewhere new. I recommend excursions for snorkeling in nearby Sosua .

the resort is so relaxing yet also has a lot to do. it is very safe with very helpful & caring people

Food is amazing different taste of every country, free restaurants with reservations, china food, Italia and seafood. Security guards everywhere as well cameras. Comfortable rooms with fridges rechargeable

This was an amazing resort! The entertainment team was spectacular. Michel Alfredo Luis and Liz were so fun and had so many great activities for us including water sports in the ocean like kayaking

This place is a must stay for this area. It is small, gorgeous, and the customer service is top notch with some of the kindest people you could hope to find. You cannot beat the rooftop pool and beach area

Birthday celebration- location was perfect. Off season - Weather in the 90's - more staff than guests. Breakfast at the pool everyday with spectacular views, no one else was there

We went to several resorts in the Dominican and went to every Spa to get a couple massage BUT Bagua Spa is the BEST we ever experienced- well done to the ladies !!! We look forward to come back and stay longer

From the minute we walked in, to the minute we departed So much detail in the architecture the scenery and the entire staff was 💯 on point. The service was beyond amazing. They accommodate our every needs

The room was good, considering most of our time was spent at the pool or on the beach. I wish there was shade in the pool during the day, but there are places to be in the shade around the pool
