Where to stay in Haapsalu

I stayed in Hestia Hotel Haapsalu Spa to work on an assignment and it was brilliant. The room was exceptional with inspiring sea view and the leisure activities gave my brain some rest when it was needed. The place was pricey, but worth it.

Pros: - Good view and location - Rooms look fresh and clean - The SPA area is nice - Breakfasts are hearty and delicious, but the coffee is too simple Cons: - Don't have basic things like a kettle and a fridge and it was not an Economy room. - In my room (even after changing to another standard room), there were problems with the air conditioner, which made gurgling noises when running, so it couldn...

We loved this property so much that we extended our stay. Rooms.are well appointed and comfortable. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Spa treatments were lovely. Easy walking to nearby cafes, restaurants and some shopping.

Ideal location for the hotel. Near the promenade, the old town, the marina. The hotel rooms are simple but clean. Good WiFi. The spa complex was nice. Breakfast is rich. There was no problem with parking. We had a wonderful holiday.

A gorgeous location and a nicely re-done Hestia. The surroundings really invite you to go for an evening walk. Spa was very busy and some maintenance could be done (birch branches had very little leaves...) but all in all a high standard Estonian spa. Loved the mud facial and steam rooms! Restaurant menu lacks a bit of imagination. Food was ok but compared to other hotel restaurants we've been to...

Nice view, great outside pool and spa. But the pools didn’t look very clean so I just enjoyed the outside views from the pool. A lot of people as well. Hard to find a chair to sit and sunbath. Breakfast was nice and they had an option for a dinner as well. Room was not the best. Good place at all, next to the beach.

Fantastic experience in Fra Mare, as usual! We are visiting this resort for the last 20 years and it is always a nice and relaxing holiday. The treatments in the spa are tailored to your needs, the food is always freshly prepared with plenty of choice, the staff is very attentive and friendly, we particularly liked Sille and Galina, their attention to details and care was amazing, and very kind hearted...

I liked the outdoor swimming pool, breakfast and dinner were very good. Nice terrace and location. Two hot saunas, others were warm. But we had a really pleasant time with family.

Lovely time spent in this hotel! Saunas and swimming pools are very good made, rooms are on the choice of your budget. However, the shower was broken, and the shower curtain could be clean. Towels could be white and not that old and dump colored. Staff is amassing and very helpful! Breakfast top class ! I'm looking forward to coming back again Thank you 🌹 😊 💓

It's all okay, just really 90tees... so if you're feeling nostalgic, you'll love this place. It is situated in a peaceful nature, though having a nice walking distance to the Haapsalu centre. I may suppose that the best here might be the medical treatments that I didn't try, so my experience is limited by the hotel, water SPA, and restaurant ( I totally recommend to go to the town centre for the dinner

Finally I get my quiet vacation. This place is very good, and no, it is not about luxury, it is about atmosphere. Location is so good. SPA located almost in the forest near the sea. There is so peaceful forest road to get your relaxing walk or positive morning run. It was so nice after the morning run to go to the Spa area to swimm a little bit before breakfast. OK hotel, not the best in Haapsalu but for one night, good, new part of building has a view straight to sea, so nice view is there. But it's not a hotel you call cozy, rooms are ok, nothing special but ok, couple of thing bothered me, there was no extra pillows and strange smell coming out of bathroom. Breakfast is good, fish, sausage, cheese , if you are a fan of crispy bacon then this you can't find...

Amazing view from the rooms. Too bad the breakfast started only at eight o clock.

Very nice view over the bay from the balcony. Big enough rooms, though a bit too basic. Great breakfast on a big terrace with a lot of choises.

Generally ok. Vyspalis, pomylis v dushe. Purely. Klyuchi brat v yashchike cherez kod. Soundproofing is bad. There wasn't enough boiling water.

A small, homely 4-room hostel. Parking right next door, Wi-Fi access. Great location.

Snug place for a weekend. Shared bathroom. Clean and friendly owner.

Good accommodation for the price, newly refurbished rooms and bathrooms. Nice owner, but it pays to set up a definite meeting time as they aren't at the place other than for check-ins. Only one shower between 5 rooms, great most of the time but could be a wait when busy.

Amazing place to have a mini holiday.

Nice holiday village with small private camp houses. The site has minigolf, clean beach with beach bar, saunas with bath and safe guided adventure tracks above your heads. Enough parking spaces besides every private house. Possible to reach from different roads, but through the Haapsalu-Tallinn highway as the most preferred for the quality.

Nice and cozy place close to the nature. Really enjoyed the breakfast served here!

The place is nicely located, great for walks with the dog, lovely big garden, porch on which you can sit for hours and drink wine and enjoy life. Restaurant on premises allows you to get great dinner without going anywhere. Homely atmosphere and lovely staff make the stay even better. You can feel like on holidays with a cool wine drinking grandma. I would def go back :)

Absolutely charming place to spend time at. We were there together with the team and enjoyed it to the fullest. The atmosphere, the vibe, the food, the hospitality - everything were just great. And of course the local wine 👌 Would love to be back one day for a weekend getaway.

Had a dinner here. Very romantic location with outside seating. Local wine expensive, but well worth the experience Not giving 5/5 as service was bit chaotic, almost careless, but food came in time and tasted good. Lots of food and drink menu changes you don't see until placing the order and need to think over again. Will I come again? Likely not..

A wonderful place to disappear for a moment from a busy life. Beautiful courtyard and nice staff. We stayed in a lovely penthouse which was really clean and the guests were wonderfully catered for in the room as well. Saturday’s "rosvopaisti" dinner was an excellent and memorable experience. The Finnish owner of the place was very nice and considerate.

Unic place with its pure nature, peace. Unbeleaveble for Estonia but the one and only greips plantation is also there! Sauna! Just love it! Want to stay here forever!??

Quiet and comfortable. The sea is across the meadow. Very responsive host! The house has a WC, shower, TV and everything you need for relaxation.

If I had the chance I would give even more stars. Wonderful place to stay. Quiet, relaxing, clean and great host. Child and dog friendly. close to the beach.

Very cozy. And for those spoiled by urban comfort, there is a shower and toilet!
