The hotel has new rooms, rich breakfast and dinner. The hotel has its own parking space in the courtyard, which costs 5 EUR. The water and sauna center is a great place to relax for the family.

Cautious!!!!
I am updating after two days checking out from the hotel. My left ear got painful infection from the spa and I needed to visit ENT emergency!!

We booked the Extra Viking package for two nights and three days. Unfortunately, aside from the staff at the treatment reception, the rest of the staff were unfriendly and sometimes even disrespectful. They seemed to treat Estonian guests much better. Despite being a large and well-known hotel, the English proficiency of most staff ranged from nonexistent to barely adequate. However, the treatment reception staff were friendly and helpful. Even when I missed a massage appointment, they assisted me in booking another session.

The accommodations were disappointing. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, so we had to keep the window open at night, which led to mosquito bites and a lot of noise from outside. When we complained about the situation, their solution was to provide a fan, which, of course, made noise as well. The daily room cleaning was minimal—just cleaning the toilet and placing some towels on the table, and that was it.

The dining experience was one of the few highlights. The breakfast and dinners were good, with a decent variety of options served buffet-style.

We selected four different treatments during our stay: a massage, an almond oil bath, a salt chamber session, and a foot wellness treatment. The 40-minute massage was really good, and the foot wellness treatment was also satisfying. However, the almond oil bath was underwhelming—just a 15-minute whirlpool bath with a small amount of almond oil. The salt chamber session involved sitting and lying down while inhaling salt-infused air. It was interesting, but nothing extraordinary.

The spa facilities were fairly large, featuring various dry saunas set at different temperatures—100°C, 90°C, and 85°C. The 100°C sauna was located on the roof, where you could also find some outdoor beds to relax on; however, these were the only areas for lying down, as the indoor area lacked such facilities. Unfortunately, the pool water had so much chlorine that each time I entered, my eyes started hurting, and my skin still smelled of chlorine even after multiple washes. There were two steam saunas—one with salt peeling and another with a fragrance. Additionally, there was an interesting snow room available to cool off after each sauna session.

Overall, the only reason I’m giving this experience two stars is due to the interesting spa area, the good treatment team, and the decent food. However, the crowded weekend and the numerous other issues we encountered made the experience far from enjoyable. If you plan to visit, I recommend avoiding weekends.

Update: I made a mistake, they did not even clean the toilet my partner said. They just provided some clean towel as room service. Thats it!!!

This is a very odd place - not bad nor good per se. We booked massages, and our only point of reference is therefore this specific service. This hotel seems very hospital-like, and its spa service seems to be catered to people with health issues. There are different "wings" of the hotel, just like in a hospital, and it's a bit of a maze. There is also a doctor, and you pay for the massages at the same counter as the health services.

The staff doesn't know very good english, unfortunately. We payed in person for the massages on the same morning, and asked if the sauna and spa area is included. The woman told us yes - but later when we went for the massages (which are separate from the spa), we realised we had to pay if we wanted to use the spa. It's 14€ on a regular day and 22€ for 3 hours on a weekend/holiday.

The massages themselves were quite nice - in a very basic and medical room, with some noise from the street. The massage was decent, and we could choose whether we wanted a soft or a strong massage.

We loved our stay here. Everything is super clean, smells nice. The spa is also amazing. Breakfast is modest, though it had everything we needed. The hotel also has a playground for kids. The only minus is: our room didn't have an AC, it was hot and one of us could not sleep.

I recently stayed at this spa/hotel and found it to be a well-located establishment, particularly advantageous for families. The proximity to the nearby skatepark was a highlight for our child, providing with entertainment. Additionally, there are several good restaurants within walking distance, making dining out a convenient and enjoyable experience.

The hotel’s spa facilities were impressive, featuring a variety of saunas and other amenities that contributed to a relaxing stay. The cleanliness of the hotel was commendable, ensuring a comfortable environment throughout our visit.

However, I must note that the breakfast offerings left room for improvement. The selection was somewhat limited and did not meet the overall standard set by the rest of the hotel’s amenities.

Overall, Viking Spa Hotel is a great place to stay, particularly for families and those looking to enjoy nearby recreational activities. With a few enhancements to their breakfast service, it would be an even better experience.

How about learning better customer service? We were 2 students, and the receptionists didn't give the student discount in the first place. They said that we have 3hours but didn't say if it includes the sauna and changing the clothes. We came out of spa after 3 hrs but went a bit overtime with changing clothes. Then they charged us extra of 13e because we were maybe 20-30 min late because of changing of clothes.

We spoke clear English but seems that the people here cannot even understand that. How about teaching some proper customer service skills for your personnel first before taking of peoples money with bad service and misinformation

I have spent here one night with my family. Overall thoughts about this SPA hotel are more positive, but there were some things I didn't like. Location of hotel is excellent, it was so nice to walk around. Breakfast was also good, a lot of different tasty food. SPA is very interesting, it has a lot of interesting areas to swim, relax and spend some quality time, including a bar. Things I didn't like here: no AC in rooms, it was very hot. And one more thing I have mentioned, I think rooms need to be renovated and repaired a little bit, some elements were heavily used or even damaged. This topic not so critical, because everything is clean here. So my conclusion is that I recommend to visit this place on working week days to get perfect value for what you get, but on weekends it is too expansive. This is my personal opinion based on my experience, and I have already booked this place one more time for my next family trip to Estonia.

I enjoyed rooftop outside sauna! Snow sauna and salt steam sauna was unique experience. Very nice indoor pool!

Very underwhelming experience. Cons: paperthin walls which means that you will hear everything from people walking in the hallway to a regular conversation that people next door might have. And if a kid runs in the hallway or room -- you will definitely hear that. It was quite a inconvenience. SPA itself caters more for families, since it was full of kids. So it did not offer a relaxing atmosphere, more like a themepark vibe. Breakfast selection was sufficient, but not anything impressive. Massage part of the wellness treatment was mostly pinching. It felt like the employee did not have good grasp of anatomy and made things more sore than before. The location is nice, but it is not enough is a town that is full of hotels so I would not be staying in that place again.

The hotel is old and needs at least a cosmetic!
I ordered a room with one large bed, but in the end I received two separate ones, which were pushed together (the staff said that all rooms have same!), as a result, the hole between the beds did not allow me to sleep properly...
The rooms are poorly cleaned, there is dust on all surfaces...
The spa is heavily disinfected with bleach, which results in dry skin and rashes.
