Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa

Very nice and well managed property, much larger than we though (not in a bad way). Spa (pool, saunas) was better than expected, and not crowded despite high season. Staff was always friendly, and the place was welcoming kids with playroom, kids pool in the spa, and some basic outdoor playground.

Two specific points as feedback/improvement ideas:

1. Our room (Zen, not the cheapest), did not have a fridge or minibar. In such hot weather, it would have been nice to be able to have cold drinks and snacks in the room, but that was not possible at all. Also, with small kids fridge is sometimes a must to keep special foods/milk formula in cold. That took away the fifth start in this review

2. We would have hoped a few more "more affordable" option in the restaurant menu. The only options were a burger (meat/vegan) or some cabbage rolls. If you spend three nights like we did, we do not want to spend 20+ euros per portion every evening, and hence went to another village for dinner once.

Overall, a pleasant and recommended stay!

I didn’t stay at the hotel, I only visited the sauna and pool, and it was really nice. (Although ”the Finnish smoke sauna has nothing in common with a real Finnish smoke sauna. It’s a normal modern Finnish sauna. But a good one!)

There were chicken, ducks, bunnies, a lamb and a goat. The garden is beautiful and the mini golf is cute!

Went for 2 days and were lucky enough to get fresh snowfall. The location of the manor is beautiful. They have renovated all buildings that are on the grounds. Beautifully done. The snowfall and the white landscape made it even more magical. Spa was clean and comfortable.
The reception and service over all was very polite and friendly. I'm hooked! Would love to see it in the spring summer and maybe autumn.

Great countryside resort. The accommodations are in 9 different buildings, so best is to book via phone or email - it allows to discuss and find the best rooms for your needs: eg you prefer close to restaurant, close to spa or close to the nature. Rooms are nice, but not so luxurious as in some really fancy manor hotels. Main restaurant is nice, good meals and choice of wines for all tastes. Breakfast is good, SPA is cozy and treatments good, gym is bare minimum. Nature is amazing, just for a small hike or for larger tours. There are many small museums - vodka museum, car museum etc. Museums are not big but just a clever use of many buildings in the complex. The service is friendly, but sometimes a bit clumsy due to inexperience of the junior stuff. But they desire to offer good service. Nice and cozy experience.

Great location for sure, quite many things to do on the spot but not much in close proximity really. We were in zen deluxe room which was very nice, but quite cold and walls/door didn't hold much noise. Restaurant was biggest disappointment as the food was mediocre but prices were same or higher as in Tallinn. Breakfast buffet was pretty good though.

Big, comfortable rooms showing off the history of the place with beautiful and modern bathrooms that tastefully fit together with "old" style of the manor. Tasty and diverse selection of food. Gorgeous area to enjoy nature and outdoor activities. Wonderful spa and interesting museums. Staff is friendly and professional.

Was here for my good friends wedding and it was a beautiful weekend. I'd definable visit again for a holiday.

Very beautiful place to have some time for yourself. Silence and harmony. Polite, helpfull, friendly personal. Interesting interiors, lots of activities. Recomended.

Amazing beautiful historical place to spend short vacation! Nice nature surrounding - cosy spa centre (small but very clean and good). Great restaurant and tasty breakfast in the morning. Perfect gateway from city routine
