Hostels in Barcelona

I have stayed in several Generator hostels and this one is in desperate need of some repairs and upgrades. The showers are too small and constantly flooding or leaking. They are mislabelled and no one seemed to be able to tell us if the bathrooms on each floor were neutral or gendered - even though they had gendered signs on them. There were light fixtures leaking water and flooding in the main lobby...

There were always an activity in the hostel that was cool. And location was really close to center.

The room was very basic and bare, but thoroughly clean. I wish it had a small refrigerator to put some groceries or snacks, but all in all, it does the job as a place to sleep. I didn’t go to any of the events hosted by the hostel, but there were plenty.

the room is quite clean and the location is prime location. you have access to 24 hours supermarket and nice restaurants nearby. rail station is also very close. walking distance to major tourist attraction!

Hotel locates at central. Nice mood, and clean. Receptionist are so friendly, and welcoming. If I go back to Barcelona, I'll definately come back.

Great location, very nice stuff, clean and modern. The only thing thats missing - curtains on the bed. But even without them I can recommend.

The hostel stands in a strategic position to visit Barcelona and still is very cheap! I loved the design of bedrooms and commun rooms. Everything is very clean and the staff is really really nice and they help you with everything. Highly recommended :)

I recommend you all to visit this wonderful hostel. Available to book online or after arriving. You will meet international inmates. Full of activities and in the middle of the city. Friendly team, quiet atmosphere, good mattress, warm and clean blanket, nice balcony over the street, very clean toilets and showers and fully equipped.

This hostal is well located, the people are nice, the rooms and bathrooms is clean and they offer free dinner and a lot of activities that helps you to know the city better ! I truely recomand it !

The Urbany Hostel was very clean. We paid $35 a night for our 5 nights stay. The location is good not that far from the city center. I love that was able to go to my room earlier before the check in time.

It's a small thing, but I liked it. The shuttle was close to the hotel and the staff was very attentive.

Came back to barcelona and stayed here again its just a really cool place and it brings people together with activities and all around friendliness from staff. There is curtains on the beds and also the mattress was memoryfoam and I slept like a log. I'd say it's the hostel I've ever stayed in on my travels around Europe. Il be back again for sure

i am so glad I found pars teatro! I lucked out with this being my first solo travel hostel experience. it’s very cozy and comfortable, there’s a communal social feel and you really get to know other travelers in the common room and kitchen, who quickly become friends. i love the theme, it’s whimsical and playful and has lots of character which is so much more welcoming and delightful than other hostels...

Had an amazing time at Teatro. Brian at the front desk became a friend rather than just an employee. The staff puts a great deal of effort into your Barcelona experience. They take you out to a bar and a club every night with free entrance, which goes a long way in Barcelona. The hostel is localized centrally in Bracelona with short way to the metro stops and La Rambla. The rooms we stayed in were small and we felt a bit packed, but we had the facilities we needed. This place might have been awesome when it was new, but the overall atmosphere is everything is somewhat old & worn out. Reasonable walking distance to many touristic sites as well as restaurants. A couple fruit stores nearby reasonably priced with fresh food and delightful coffee shops. Comfortable rooms but would be nice if there's more hanging places for small clothing pieces that needs to be dried up

Just had an amazing stay at BCNSportHostels! 🌟 The staff was super friendly and helpful, definitely a 5-star experience. The location is close to Glories and there is a Condis supermarket downstairs, everything is very convenient. Arrived at 12 noon. The front desk was very friendly and allowed early check-in. I had a really great experience with the hostel everyone was super nice even i had a good talk with 2 receptionists they were really helpful to provide all the information. And they also had pub Crawls which are supper amazing. I met martin, he was an open minded and a fun loving person person. If i visit Barcelona i hope see him again.

Super helpful staff made sure the checkin process was breezy. They informed about all the things in the hostel and helped with how to commute and what to see in the city. The place is really close to the Beach and other basic things. They have their own walking tour and party hop nights almost daily. They also have PS and Wii for people who love it. Located in a nice quiet area but far from the center which is not bad if they offer a low price for your dates. However it needs to be refurbished and the should pay more attention to the cleanliness of the rooms and especially bathrooms.

Nice clean hostel in beautiful location, fairly convenient to city centre, especially like that they employ mentally & physically disabled. Individual bed-lights & charging points but only one bathroom in 12-bed dorm. Swimming pool empty when I was there and no kitchen I could find!

The beds weren’t clean, there’s was no privacy, the power sockets were very far from the beds. Also, the guy at check-in was very rude and totally not understanding of the problem we were having with the payment. The bathroom was quite clean though and also private. I recommend staying here only if you’re in a large group of people in order to take a whole room just for yourselves.

The included breakfast is good for the price. The beds are nice. No one pays any attention to quiet hours, so bear that in mind. Also, laundry is expensive here.

Had a great experience stayin at Diagonal House. The place is clean and airy and all the facilities provided were superb. You get to meet a lot of people from various places which is and enriching experience in itself. Apart from that it has a great location with a lot of things nearby. I would definitely go back to this place the next time I visit Barcelona.

The staff in the hostel is amazing, very helpful and nice. The location is perfect if you plan on walking on your trip. Bathrooms and showers aren't the most comfortable since they are very small. Even though this wasn't the prettiest hostel I've stayed in Barcelona, it has been my favorite!

A great hostel! The staff makes you feel at home. There’re free tours every day to see the city or sunsets etc. Multiple times per week they offer free tapas or similar things. The location is also very good a subway station is only two blocks away and Arc de Triumph only one and a half.

Amazing staff that makes you integrated very quickly in the community of the hostel. Love the idea of having each night a different night offered to the guests (sangria night, pasta night, tapas night) . Amazing parties and opportunities to get to know the city are offered by the staff.
