Hostels in Barcelona

I have stayed in several Generator hostels and this one is in desperate need of some repairs and upgrades. The showers are too small and constantly flooding or leaking. They are mislabelled and no one seemed to be able to tell us if the bathrooms on each floor were neutral or gendered - even though they had gendered signs on them. There were light fixtures leaking water and flooding in the main lobby...

There were always an activity in the hostel that was cool. And location was really close to center.

The room was very basic and bare, but thoroughly clean. I wish it had a small refrigerator to put some groceries or snacks, but all in all, it does the job as a place to sleep. I didn’t go to any of the events hosted by the hostel, but there were plenty.

the room is quite clean and the location is prime location. you have access to 24 hours supermarket and nice restaurants nearby. rail station is also very close. walking distance to major tourist attraction!

Hotel locates at central. Nice mood, and clean. Receptionist are so friendly, and welcoming. If I go back to Barcelona, I'll definately come back.

Great location, very nice stuff, clean and modern. The only thing thats missing - curtains on the bed. But even without them I can recommend.

The hotel is directly on the top of a big metro/ railway station, and can access all attractions and airport very conveniently. The hotel uses an interesting space theme which both adults and kids should like. The room is clean and spacious. Nothing to complain about. Staff is friendly. Overall a very good hotel experience for me.

Room is clean and cosy. Location is unbeatable when it is just located above a metro station which is an interchange for many metro lines. Highly recommend!

Rooms were very nice, modern and spacious. Breakfast was platinum!! However, there was no pool. Living in the Bahamas, I rarely see other beaches that look as inviting as Bahamian waters, so I look forward to a pool when I go on vacation. It was super hot and pool access would have made this stay totally five star.

I’ve stayed here twice this summer. I can’t compare it to other hotels in Spain, but in general this is a good quality European hotel. Some rooms have no coffee maker, just instant coffee and tea and the bottled water is €4 unless you are a Hilton Honors member. The hotel is not very close to the Gothic Quarter and Gaudi's three-piece suite. It takes about ten minutes to get there by taxi. The hotel is relatively new and clean. It is neither good nor bad.

It was already late when we arrived at the hotel, but it took nearly an hour to check in. The efficiency was speechless. Entering and exiting the parking lot was like walking through a maze, which was not a good experience. The hotel facilities were OK and I slept comfortably.

The location is very good and convenient. It is right next to the Avenue des Grazies. It is convenient for shopping. It is within walking distance of Casa Mila and Casa Batlló. However, it is a little far from the Sagrada Familia and you need to take a taxi. It is not very convenient. The facilities are satisfactory. The breakfast is good.

It is very close to the attractions and there are many good things to eat nearby. If you go shopping on Thanksgiving Avenue, it is very convenient to return to the hotel after shopping. It is just a bit old, like an ordinary business hotel

The price is expensive, the location is OK, the hygiene is not good, there are socks left by guests in the room on the first day of check-in, the breakfast is OK, different food is updated every day, I will not choose it next time.

Staff were very friendly, professional, and accommodating. The entrance and lobby look charming. The rooms were well cleaned but were outdated and had a bad smell. Rooftop pool was small, no bar services as advertised, limited lounge chairs/ space and I wasn’t confident about the water cleanliness at the pool. Pictures look better than what it actually looks like. Overall a disappointed stay.

Excellent establishment; stumbled across it when our flight to Lisbon was canceled & the airline redirected us here for the night. Very accommodating & saved us when they were pretty much fully booked! Very nice rooms & the restaurant on the main floor has some amazing food!

I don’t understand how this hotel gets 4 stars. The only good thing about it is that the room and bath are spacious. We didn’t even get free water in the room, and the facilities are just average. The AC didn’t work well the first day and then slowly they fixed it. I paid $270 a night. Not recommending.

The price is outrageous, much more expensive than usual, and the door is closed every day. You have to swipe your card to enter the lobby, which is quite troublesome.

I had an amazing experience staying at Travelodge From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and my room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated.

They charged us extra money and a hundred euros to guarantee the initial work, which was a disgrace.

The given room was for disabled people which made us feel uncomfortable. Also there was moisture in the bathroom.

the swimming pool at the room top was fantastic and room was clean and nice but the staff at the front desk refused me an early check in, a bit of annoying service environment.

Clean room and good bed! Room is small. No toothbrush and toothpaste, no sleepers available. But a hairdryer, kettle, fridge (empty) and safe vault in the room. Pool have not use🤣

A gem of a hotel, great location very near to train and metro and bus stations .la familia sagrigada is a straight 15 minute walk. 🤓 Amazing 360 degree view of city from hotel rooftop. Fabulous spa treatments. Great food at hotel’s restaurant and very good breakfast selection. Friendly staff 👍

Nice new hotel with lovely staffs and good breakfast. I really recommend to get it with breakfast as it really worth it. A bit far from centre however 10 minutes walk to train station solve this issue. Also there is a huge shopping mall with lots of eateries just around the corner. The hotel does not correspond to a four star accommodation. The rooms show signs of heavy wear and tear and in many places a renovation is overdue. The staff tries hard, but some are not sufficiently trained. the food is good.

Avoid if you are a medium to light sleeper. The sound isolation is super poor. Whenever someone in adjoining rooms opened or closed the door, the noise and vibration was so pronounced that it felt like my room was being broken into. I kept waking up throughout the night. The hotel was lovely, and the lobby felt very welcoming. I stayed in a triple room, which was perfectly fine; my only slight gripe was the weak water pressure. Apart from that, I was happy with everything. The rooftop terrace was huge, perfect for sunbathing, and I even managed to snap a picture of the Sagrada Familia from there. Very nice hotel in Barcelona. Very clean and very helpful staff. One draw back is that they don’t have smart TVs so you can’t watch Netflix or YouTube. Small price to pay though for we enjoyed the city so much we didn’t need a TV when we turned in. We will definitely stay here again when we visit next time

A very good choice for business trips abroad

Although it was a temporary hotel, the overall impression was good. It should be said that it was a very technological design. Except that it was a little far from the scenic area, everything else was quite satisfactory.

We were completely satisfied! The location of the hotel is great, about 15-20 minutes to the beach (on foot) and 30 minutes to the city. A truly beautiful and comfortable hotel. The bedding was incredibly comfortable! The rooms are spacious and well-designed, helping all our travel fatigue simply melt away. The location is excellent, offering convenient access to major attractions. Unfortunately, our itinerary was too packed, so we didn't get to fully enjoy the public areas. A real pity! We hope to stay here again next time.

This hotel has modern-style interior design, comfortable bed, nice gym room & jacuzzi. You can get nice tapas, sandwich just opposite the hotel. And there is a 24 hours Churro shop just directly opposite the hotel.

Have just returned from a 4 night stay at Abba Garden, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A wonderful hotel with a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and varied, especially the breakfasts. The rooms were clean and equipped with fridges stocked with drinks and snacks. I would rate this hotel higher than four stars. There’s also a swimming pool and private paid parking on site. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it.

Very clean & facilities are in good condition. Although the interior are a bit old-fashioned (typical 2010s style, e.g. no USB charging port in room), everything is in good shape for good relaxing rest. Location is good to find and very close to the coast/beach.

Absolutely excellent experience. Stayed here for four nights. Staff exceptionally friendly, food tasty and lots of variety and from top to bottom the hotel is immaculately clean! Well located only a short walk to the nearest metro station/stop. Will 100% return here next time we are visiting Barcelona.

Excellent hotel, they gave us a little cake for my husbands birthday! Service was perfect, the rooms were spotless and didn't feel budget at all. Lovely quality and good size. 5 min walk from the metro, and mini supermarket. super quiet. About 4 stops from the centre of Barcelona, and a 5min walk from the beach, 10 min walk from the shopping centre. I would stay again 100%.

Close to all public transport, nice clean hotel.
