Indoor pool and spa was great,breakfast was soo good! I enjoyed hanging out at the bar having drinks and enjoying the music (chicken tenders taste SO good). Loved the beach literally 20 seconds away

We fell in love with this hotel. Its right on the beach and the views are second to none. Kudos to the best concierge team, they reached out to us in advance and we got everything we needed planned

We even had a small attention for Valentine's Day, it was a nice surprise ! The hotel is not in the city center but the location is easy to reach by walk or public transport. I had a lovely stay and totally recommend it

They were flawless in execution (restaurants, where to go, airport transfer). When our trip got off to a bad start due to airline hiccups, the concierge team made life that much easier to ensure a smooth arrival

It took me from 35 minutes to check by 2:05pm. They said the room wasn’t ready until after 3pm. I am Titanium elite and that line took me from 3:10 to 4:05 waiting (55 more minutes)in line to see if my room was ready

Also, the front staff said they would call me when it was ready, they never did. Everyone downstairs was just as angry in the lines, it was ridiculous. We flew 10 hours to get here and vacation is starting off bad

My wife and I were visiting Spain for the first time. We found this hotel to exceed our expectations in both quality as well as atmosphere. Lovely, calm place to stay in Barcelona

We also enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. It is especially family-friendly. We stayed there with our 14 month-old baby and it was great. It is also close to some main attractions with a metro station close-by

There is no better place to stay while in Barcelona. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and the Terraceview that I had of the city and ocean was stunning

Absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Catalonia Ramblas. Great location, very good breakfast buffet, outstanding service. Nice pool and terrace, really good for families with children

Jacobo the receptionist was incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable about the local area, recommended great places, and helped us with anything we needed! Amazing hotel but the service from Jacobo was the best thing! We normally stay in H10 but we will be staying here from now on, thank you Jacobo

The hotel was a last minute decision. We enjoyed our room, the service and all of the accommodations. Cristian at the downstairs bar was very friendly, professional and took great care of us on the first night

This was the perfect place to stay for our family! Everybody was able to have an individual bed and the beds were super comfortable! It is centrally located near a lot of great sites and we always felt safe

The terrace pool was our every night tradition to soak in and enjoy the night view and music. The afternoon tea and breakfast were amazing. Very accommodating with the kids, too

The rooftop is the best in the city in my opinion with a deep pool (deeper than most) and a great bar that serves awesome food all day long

Perhaps the pool and gym could be upgraded. That’s the only slight criticism

Fantastic stay, Salvador Dali suite which we were upgraded to was stunning. Service from all staff was very good, location of hotel was perfect for our stay. Everything was in within walking distance or a short taxi ride

There are luxury hotels and then there are LUXURY hotels. I've been to many in Barcelona trying to find the best place to stay in and I can say this is the best experience I've ever had in a city hotel

All the dishes ordered were an experience, from the starters to the dessert. After eating we also enjoyed the Flamenco show, very emotional and interactive, accompanied by tasty cocktails

It was an unexpected sunny weekend and location was perfect as it was a very short walk to the beach. Rooftop pool was a great bonus for sunbathing however was too cold to get inside in April

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is close to the metro, just a 5-minute walk and the beach just a 15 minute walk. 🐾 Highly recommended for a comfortable stay

Located in a quiet neighborhood near shops and restaurants, 20 minutes walk from a beach, 10 minutes walk to the metro station. Really enjoyed both of my stays here

The immediate environment a bit less appealing, as there is construction near by (but no noise, just some rubble) and the pool was closed when i was staying

Saying she did not work in the bar when we asked for a drink, while serving two gentleman drinks and the continued chatting to them and ignoring us 0/10. The Roof top bar was great with very friendly staff

Good hotel and facilities, reception staff very helpful. Lounge Bar was poorly staffed and felt that we were a burden to them. One blonde lady was damright rude to us

At one point I found a private space on the first floor to take calls, but then the manager from the lobby came up and told me I had to move even though no one was using it… it was a very a frustrating experience

Housekeeping was consistent- room items regularly replenished (drinking water, coffee and fun treats were left too. ) We had a small maintenance issue that we mentioned at the front desk, and it was repaired immediately

We stayed here for a week long trip to Barcelona. It was a perfect location for explore the city and surrounding area. Room was clean, comfortable, and plenty large, plus it offered a great view of the surrounding city

We stayed here back in 2021 and we enjoyed our stay in this hotel and the bartenders service on the rooftop was always 10/10! So we came back to the rooftop bar this year and again, service and cocktails were amazing

Hotel is right across the street from a metro station putting the entire region within reach, and is also very close to a store if you need anything. Staff we interacted with were all amazing

I initially expected the room to be loud due to its location right on the street, but the windows were super thick and I was pleasantly surprised that the room was practically silent

View is so pretty, specially at sunset. Glad to see nothing has changed! Everytime we come to Barcelona, we will come to this rooftop bar

We didn't have the (extra cost) buffet breakfast as it's way more fun to go and try places nearby — and there are so many options! No communal areas or bar but again there are amazing options to explore all around

+ Location + Terrace + View compensate for everything else. The neighborhood is as charming as it can be. Transportation options are perfect. You can walk to the beach and almost everywhere else

Delicious and always fresh breakfast. All rooms have nice little balcony. The bus stop is in front of the hotel and the metro station is 2 minutes away. Would definitely stay again 👍

The bathroom is good, but it could have a douche and water could be of higher water pressure (it's ok, just not great pressure). Overall, value for your money is high!

We booked this hotel as just a place to stay while we explored Barcelona but there are so many excellent places nearby that makes this hotels location incredible

They also have an very good breakfast. But the rooms are small and without good views for the city. It is ok for a weekend, however, if you are seeking for something more fancy and urban, here's not your place

People at the reception were welcoming. It is the basic hotel room. Mattresses are comfortable. Close to the metro and everything you need especially the sea!

You can find alot of restaurants nearby and beach is 10 minutes walk away

I’ll start with the positive: Mariana at reception (whom I was very impressed with because she showed real people skills I rarely see in this industry) and her manager (who handled the issue at hand with care and true leadership skills) are very kind, empathetic individuals who understood my elderly service dog’s condition and were able to accommodate us

My only issue was being charged €20 for my service dog and for that reason I’m taking one star off as I clearly stated he was a service dog & he was wearing his identification/service dog harness but they consulted in the back and still decided to charge me

Besides that, for a city the size of Barcelona, for the neighborhood and the condition of the premises I believe this hotel delivers on the value it charges and I would indeed recommend it

There was a nice steam room too however I spent very little time in there as the beauty of the spa experience was in soaking in the skyline. If you have the money to spare, don’t deny yourself of this experience

I can’t recall a time where I’ve felt more relaxed and relieved after a massage and I have to take my hat off for how professional it was. The icing on the cake was the private spa access at the end

We booked through American Express Platinum. The service has been fantastic, the front desk attendants were awesome. They went beyond what you would expect to ensure we were happy. The bar/restaurant by the pool is great

Advised us to eat dinner and then the desk would be relocating us. Waited 90 minutes to get on the elevator since we were on 17 and every time it opened it was full. No one was being systematic about getting people out

Everyone door opened it was full with people from floors above. We finally made it on and were sent to the Grand Hyatt. Our cab driver tried to extort a fare from us when it was included and we saw the manager pay him

Certainly the best of the Eurostars hotels we've stayed @ in Europe, and we've stayed in and reviewed five of the hotels in this rapidly expanding chain in about 7 weeks, including Portugal and Spain

It would be great if he, like the general manager Ricardo, were invited to take a rotational management trip to somewhere like Chicago or New York to institute his same skills elsewhere in Eurostars

We had a connecting door, and several times he tried opening the door. Because of his noises, we had to use a nature sounds sleep machine. I'm addition, the thermostat was not functioning properly

They explained that, since it was Saturday, neither the manager nor the conference group was available, so they couldn’t do anything and apologized. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed

I asked the receptionist if I could check in for the first night, as I had paid for one day, and then pay the rest once I received the transferred money, likely by the next day

I then asked if I could modify my reservation to three days until Monday, when the transfer would go through and I could pay for the remaining days

To add to the disappointment, the internet in the room was terrible with only a weak signal, and the shower gel bottle was empty

I almost had to spend the night outside. Luckily, I remembered I had some cash, so I paid using a combination of cash and card

I asked for several minutes to transfer funds from my savings account, but since it was Saturday, the transfer didn’t work

Nice rooms, good quality bed, and other items are if good quality too. Fantastic views of av diagonal in one of the lifts

Breakfast was good; good variety; fun spacious and tasteful placement of the menu items on separate tables, a bit unusual but which works great in a big and airy breakfast room

I also have to add that they shouldn’t speak too much as some of their gluten free croissant were rotten !! As for the room service, the food was not worth the price at all 21€ for a very small amount of veggies and a frozen fish… I feel a bit scammed

Only the receptionist at my checkin was nice. The rooms were extremely clean meanwhile I think that’s the best point of the place. I would stay there again if I don’t deal with the « food team » at all

Really enjoyed our stay in a quieter more local feeling part of Barcelona. The rooms need better ventilation as well as allowing guests the option to open their windows for fresh air.

They talked very badly to me when I wanted to take some two poor little donuts with me as I couldn’t eat it all in one and still wanted to make this cost worth it

Hotel Ambience, food, and views from the lift corridors and rooms are good. Overall, a nice place to spend your time in Barcelona

There's a business center on the ground floor, breakfast includes plenty of options, there's an exercise room at the second level and and a lunch/dinner restaurant on the 13th floor with a view of the sea and the city

The rooftop lounge offers beautiful views of the city, as does the refreshingly cool infinity pool! This hotel was a great value and we hope to revisit soon!

We highly recommend the Grand Hotel Central! This was our first time in Barcelona, but as far as we could tell, the location can't be beat! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and let us check in when we arrived at 10:30 am! The hotel itself is clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing

All new rooms with everything you wish to have for a relaxing evening and night after a day out in the heat of Barcelona. I specially appreciated the big bottle of good smelling body lotion, perfectly happy with my stay

It feels like a place people would stay on business. It's location is good for the beach and is near plenty of public transport. The bed is comfortable and air conditioning is a blessing. However, the breakfast is awful

The pool is lovely but there is no bar on the terrace despite there being a bar built in. The pool is also not heated so prepare for that! All in all, it's a disappointing hotel

It's continental, which is fine but it's a very small amount and if you're vegan or have a dietary requirement (like coeliac disease like me) then you're very limited

Upon getting in I went to the restaurant to get a coffee from the coffee machine and was promptly told off - 'you should ask!' he said - despite there being no sign to say it was closed and there being no staff at the bar

If the intention of the architects of the building was to attract attention, they've succeeded remarkably. Seek it out, even if you're not staying at the hotel

Amazing hotel! This is what you expect from a 4/5 star hotel. The swimming pool and sunbathing area on the 6th floor is amazing and very chill vibe. The food bar on the ground floor as the whole hotel looks stunning

Staff was nice and service minded. But everyday at siesta time (in a weekend) The maintenance people started up some electric tools in the room next door

I'd recommend a room on one of the higher floors (14-24) with seaside view, that's absolutely priceless! Rooms are super clean and comfortable, soap and shampoo from Rituals, beds and pillows very comfortable

We stayed at the Occidental Atenea Mar and were quite satisfied with our experience. The beds were very comfortable, and the hotel is conveniently located near various seafood, meat, and alcohol bars and cafes

Although our room didn't have the best view, most of the hotel rooms offer a beautiful sea view. There's also a nice bar on the second floor. One downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the main tourist promenade

By far the biggest plus is the service. Staff were friendly and helpful. A big shout out to the 'omelette' man at breakfast. I told him I was vegetarian and he gave me some vegan bacon, ham, roasted veg and chorizo

Okay let's start by saying the rooms are tiny, smaller even than some of the hotels in Tokyo. But, they are clean and updated. No sagging beds, lumpy pillows or thin towels

I loved this place, I feel I'm being a little pedantic with 4 stars for service because my only complaint was that they didn't refresh the coffee/sugar in the room, but the thing that annoyed me most about it was they provided wooden spoon for stirring and didn't replace them
