Hotels on first line in Barcelona

No soundproof, window handle was loosen, my window was right on the pool and outside terace, I coupd gear every noise, day and night. Good variety of food over breaksfast

A very good hotel located close to the Beach, bus station and not too far from metro. Very friendly people at the reception and good restaurant

Only the wifi is not good in the rooms which is important to know for business travel but one can also work in the lobby

Nice proximity to office buildings and frindly staff, but room could use some reconditioning here and there

I would stay here again if they managed to fix some of these problems, but I've seen reviews with similar problems addressed earlier so in all likelihood if I ever were to visit Barcelona again I'd probably go for another hotel

We could hear very loudly if somebody was in the hallway (and this could be drunk people very late at night) and we were woken up early by slamming doors and we could hear housekeeping in every other room

Great suite room for a great price during the busy tourist season. Daniela at reception was very nice and was able to get us a room before the check in time, since we just got off a cruise

Friendly staff. Decent breakfast and only a 10 minute walk from the beach. No kettle/coffee machine in the room and no bar. Think there was mosquitoes. Rough area with homeless and scrap men

The hotel is super clean and well furnished. We stayed for a week at a junior suite where was a bedroom, small living room, guest toilet and master bathroom

The room is equipped with tea and coffee machine, nice eco toiletries. Just 30 minutes walk from gothic square

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The service was top-notch, and the receptionists were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my visit. They truly went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed

The place is really awesome! A metro ride away from tourist attractions although we preferred to stay among the locals! Lots of restarants nearby! The staff is amazing and helpful! I would definitely go there again and stay

Lots of decent restaurants nearby. It is more mellow than in the Gothic district, a lot more quiet. Has a nice pool on the roof top you can see the view of the city and the sea

Cheerful hotel, cleaned every day, to the sea 7-8 minutes walking to the subway as well.

They explained that, since it was Saturday, neither the manager nor the conference group was available, so they couldn’t do anything and apologized. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed

I asked the receptionist if I could check in for the first night, as I had paid for one day, and then pay the rest once I received the transferred money, likely by the next day

I then asked if I could modify my reservation to three days until Monday, when the transfer would go through and I could pay for the remaining days

To add to the disappointment, the internet in the room was terrible with only a weak signal, and the shower gel bottle was empty

I almost had to spend the night outside. Luckily, I remembered I had some cash, so I paid using a combination of cash and card

I asked for several minutes to transfer funds from my savings account, but since it was Saturday, the transfer didn’t work

The kids immediately jumped on the computers in the lobby while we checked in, which was very convenient. The rooms were immaculate and each came with a laptop, which added a nice modern touch to the hotel

The breakfast they served was excellent, offering a great start to our days. The location is superb—just step out the front door and you’re ready to explore the beauty of Barcelona

The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to many fabulous restaurants, coffee shops, tapas bars, and shopping. Our room was very spacious, as was the bathroom

From the moment we checked in, we knew everything was going to be perfect. I believe her name was Maria—she made us feel incredibly comfortable and accommodated us in every way

Had a spacious room on the first floor. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Easy walk to tons of restaurants and attractions. Would definitely stay here again

My only complaint is that the bathroom didn't have a lot of counter space. There was a cool little window sitting room that looked out over the street

Fantastic location in the heart of the Gothic quarter. Rooms are fine and the breakfast is good. A metro station is very close (Jaume 1), La Rambla is 10-15 min walk and the beach is 20mins walk.

Two sunbeds on the balcony would have been good. And a larger bed. But very nice hotel and great breakfast

Firstly, the staff were absolutely amazing and hospitable and let us have an early check in! Special shout-out to the receptionist that works overnight who was extremely helpful and kind! The location is great in terms of proximity with a subway station very close to the hotel

However due to this it does tend to get a bit loud at times at night in the area so if you’re a light sleeper, reconsider. But other than that the rooms were excellent, clean and spacious

5 nights and it amost had everything we needed. Just needed a fridge to have cold beer😃 Location is safe and perfect

The location is moreso the late night/early morning party scene; it's a taxi or a hike to the cultural heart of the city. Barcelona beaches are close, but a little dirty with trash

Beds are very comfortable, breakfast is of extremely high quality and so varied there is something for everyone. Used the Spa water rooms as well, which are on the top floor with beautiful views

Ended up upgrading to some of the penthouse suites with some extended family, which were absurdly beautiful with wonderful views

We booked through American Express Platinum. The service has been fantastic, the front desk attendants were awesome. They went beyond what you would expect to ensure we were happy. The bar/restaurant by the pool is great

The Hotel Arts - simply stated - is the best hotel in Barcelona. Steps from the Sea and a short distance to the best restaurants, shopping, tourist attractions, etc. The lobby and restaurants are truly terrific

Nice view from the hotel to the sea and the city. Delicious food, breakfast was excellent with more choices than you can imagine. Service is great, friendly and professional. Close distance to the gothic quarter

Super service. Attentive staff. Stayed on the 23rd floor facing the city to the left and the med to the right. Amazing view. Excellent access to the beach. And pretty good restaurants and bars. I highly recommend.

We fell in love with this hotel. Its right on the beach and the views are second to none. Kudos to the best concierge team, they reached out to us in advance and we got everything we needed planned

The W stands tall as the only ocean front luxury hotel on this Barcelona Beach area. Red walls, hallway, carpet and elevator. The bed is located in the center of the room and it’s very clean

They were flawless in execution (restaurants, where to go, airport transfer). When our trip got off to a bad start due to airline hiccups, the concierge team made life that much easier to ensure a smooth arrival

The location is perfect, with breathtaking views from the rooms. Every detail, from the room to the service, has exceeded my expectations. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

The restaurants are great, room and view fantastic - its not like the typical W in the USA. We were comfortable and just had an awesome time

However , pool was surprisingly very small and beds were a little uncomfortable. Would we stay here again? Probably not but overall it was a pleasant experience and thankyou to the staff

Very helpful staffs, from the cleaning team to the reception! Great location with many restaurants, pharmacies and supermarkets nearby (and also open until late)! The hotel also employ many employees with disabilities and I think it‘s a wonderful thing

The hotel has a great location, 5 min walk from Arc de Triomf and about 20 min from Plaça de Catalunya. Stayed there for 4 nights and the room was cleaned every day, towels and sheets changed every morning

Receptionists are friendly and helpful. Great value and I would definitely visit again if an opportunity arises

The panoramic from the top floor, where the pool is was amazing! The location is perfect for a walk to La Rambla and the beach

The good thing about this hotel is it’s in the middle of the city near the beach and 10 minutes walking. You can be anywhere you want in Barcelona the rooms are spacious and super clean

Roof top swimming pool is not large, but there's great view of the harbor up there: it's easy to hang out up there getting a gym workout, reading a book in the Catalonia breeze

Location wise, it is a walking distance away from the beach. If I visit Barcelona again, I will definitely consider staying here again!

Led by Manuel, the senior manager, the staff does everything possible to make your stay Barcelona fantastic. Maria and Carlos checked us in and provided great tips for enjoyment of the hotel and this wonderful city

Stayed 1 night here: absolutely good experience! Room is so spacious, corridor walls are lined with wood like planks, which made us feel that we were walking on a luxurious yacht

They also have an very good breakfast. But the rooms are small and without good views for the city. It is ok for a weekend, however, if you are seeking for something more fancy and urban, here's not your place

People at the reception were welcoming. It is the basic hotel room. Mattresses are comfortable. Close to the metro and everything you need especially the sea!

You can find alot of restaurants nearby and beach is 10 minutes walk away

I’ll start with the positive: Mariana at reception (whom I was very impressed with because she showed real people skills I rarely see in this industry) and her manager (who handled the issue at hand with care and true leadership skills) are very kind, empathetic individuals who understood my elderly service dog’s condition and were able to accommodate us

My only issue was being charged €20 for my service dog and for that reason I’m taking one star off as I clearly stated he was a service dog & he was wearing his identification/service dog harness but they consulted in the back and still decided to charge me

Besides that, for a city the size of Barcelona, for the neighborhood and the condition of the premises I believe this hotel delivers on the value it charges and I would indeed recommend it

On October 23, 2024, I had the opportunity to stay at your hotel for one night. During the check-in process, I was surprised to see that the front desk was seated while assisting me

While I understand the need for employees to take breaks, it would be more appropriate for them to stand when interacting with guests during the check-in process

This gave the impression of unprofessionalism and laziness. Additionally, the agent seemed to struggle while reaching for the machine to activate my key card

The area is clean and relatively safe. Hotel also has a nice restaurant and pool. The 15th floor executive lounge serves breakfast and has a happy hour. Overall, I highly recommend this property

It is worth noting that I have had the chance to check in to numerous hotels around the world, and this was the first time I encountered a seated front desk , During breakfast at the lounge, I was taken aback when I observed one of your team members name Zara, replenishing the croissants for the buffet with her bare hands

The staff is helpful, friendly and professional. Location is close to the beach and right across the street of a decent mall that has a nice playground for children and over a dozen restaurants to choose from

The room we had was a 2 single bed room it was clean, quiet, nice, they was so polite and service of the room was excellent i really appreciate this hotel and how easy it was to get to the station and bus stops to get you to your destinations and its less than a 1min walk to diagonal mar which is a excellent mall as its not touristic so its locals (nice and quiet) absolutely perfect

Heavily recommend and if i when i come back i know where to stay!

Location wise might be a bit inconvenient as it is located close to the end of the city and one would need either a taxi or a public transport to get to the main sights (unless if you are into long walks 🙂)

Last, I was a bit surprised that there was no coffee/tea maker in the room and as I had to leave early on my check out day there was nowhere to grab a coffee before I go as breakfast starts at 7

The room I had was very spacious with a nice view of Barcelona but it was a bit too dark and the lighting especially in the bathroom was not so adequate

The bathroom area itself was a bit small and opening the doors for the toilet and the shower was not so convenient as the corridor there is very narrow

Perfect. very well situated if you want to be next to the sea. Otherwise, 15 minutes walk to get to the Rambla.

Great location for a short walk to the beach

I’m 9 months pregnant and have an almost 3 years old so it’s not easy to go anywhere alone, but everyone made me feel comfortable and made everything super easy and accessible for us

The staff were so welcoming and friendly and were always happy to provide any information about the area. The rooms were clean and modern, and our sea view room was perfect for our short stay

The swimming pool is very nice and has a beautiful view. There also places to work if you have already checked out and plenty of taxis in front

From the comfort of the rooms, to the rooftop infinity pool & bar, I didn't want to leave the hotel. The bed was so comfortable, the sheets were soft, the tub was huge

We highly recommend the Grand Hotel Central! This was our first time in Barcelona, but as far as we could tell, the location can't be beat! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and let us check in when we arrived at 10:30 am! The hotel itself is clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing

We also enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. It is especially family-friendly. We stayed there with our 14 month-old baby and it was great. It is also close to some main attractions with a metro station close-by

There is no better place to stay while in Barcelona. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and the Terraceview that I had of the city and ocean was stunning

Zero noise through the night, very comfortable bed and plenty of comfy pillows, has a great pool which is rare in a big city, lovely staff, breakfast buffet is spot on and great location for the Ramblas and metro and buses

We could not have been happier! We booked a Superior room, but were silently upgraded to a Deluxe room with a view of the pool and the courtyard. The room was quite large, beautifully renovated, with a great bathroom

Our United flight was canceled and we were provided lodging at the Catalonia Ramblas, and Sabrina gave us the terrace suite! The room was very nice, with a heated towel rack and private pool

Excellent service, neat, beautiful and very clean room, the bathroom is amazing with all the essentials you would require while on a trip, lovely pool area

Our A/C worked perfectly, and despite being near the elevator, the room was totally silent. We did find the shower temperature to be hard to control, with the middle setting seeming to be way too hot

Each and every one of the staff is warm, kind and there were so helpful especially considering that I was traveling alone with my infant. I would definitely stay here on several other occasions

Not in the city center, but a good walk if you’re able and an easy cab ride if you’re not. Easy walk to very nice beach. Only issue was that nothing seemed to charge with my American converter

Some maintenance issues in the room, but nothing terrible. The key thing is that the soundproofing of the rooms is inadequate

Not sure if the converter was the problem, but if you’re American you should bring backup phone chargers. (Other reviews have complained about the pool, but it’s just small

Swimming pool always crowded and access/sun chairs can't be booked. Also, location isn't very central. However, the staff is very professional and welcoming

We weren't lucky with the weather and couldn't enjoy the bar and the swimming pool on the terrace. But the rest of the activities were absolutely amazing

Such a lovely hotel! Highly recommend. Staff seemed so nice and room very clean. Only negative is the location isn’t the best, but wouldn’t nock it down for that as the metro is only 5 minutes walk away.
