Generator Barcelona

Arrived later than expected which ultimately was my fault for not knowing the exact location. The staff were very welcoming and couldn't have been nicer to help me. Pamela is a legend and was extremely courteous in explaining how to get to my room and where all the amenities are, I would definitely recommend Generator for anyone looking to stay in Barcelona.

From the moment you walk in, Brenda’s energy lights up the room. Her drink knowledge is encyclopedic — whether you’re craving a perfectly balanced Old Fashioned, a custom cocktail based on your mood, or just the coldest beer in the house, she delivers with precision and flair. Watching her mix is like watching an artist at work — confident, smooth, and always with a smile.

This is my second time staying here. First time I stayed on the hostel side with my friends and had a great experience. We met so many great people and the staff was awesome. This time I stayed on the hotel side with my partner. Nico, Pame, and Umberto were absolutely amazing. We will definitively be staying here every time we come back to Barcelona.

All the necessary facilities are available, which made my stay convenient and hassle-free. Highly recommended for travelers looking for a clean, affordable, and well-equipped place to stay.

Good standart of everything, beds, commun areas and good breakfast to pay. The unique is the location, not in the city center, but very near metro stop (so you ca go everywhere).

Good with a mix of older and younger people. I was on the top floor which was fairly quiet. Only complaint was the shower facilities which were often grimy but expected when they’re communal. I wish there were more private changing spaces. The location is perfect for central Barcelona and only a short walk to the nearest metro line. Overall I had a really good experience here. This is a huge hostel. The staff were great because they gave me a padlock when they realized I didn’t have one. My key card stopped working twice during my trip but they rectified the situation quickly.

The hostel has a public dining area to store food and a restaurant. There are many grocery stores and cafes nearby.

The rooms are fine. I recommend staff sweep the rooms when cleaning beds because the floors are very dusty.

I love that there’s no curfew. This allowed me to work late in the evening. I chose the dining area because it was quieter. The gaming area and lobby see a lot of foot traffic so it’s possible to socialize there. Overall it was good stay.

This is a great hostel! The staff are great, especially Jose and Guido! Jose was so helpful when I sprained my ankle, always making sure I had ice for it. The staff also made sure that I had extra pillows to elevate it. A great community of people who work here! Just wish the beds had surrounding curtains but otherwise great.
