I got pretty bad mosquito bites at this hotel. The hotel is very basic so it has no AC. I left the window open overnight to sleep, and I was bitten a few times. Without ac, it was hard to sleep and it’s very noisy outside as we are right in the city centre. The room is very small. There are no amenities like tea/coffee or a fridge. The bathroom is dated. The shower has very high pressure and even with a shower curtain, the floor would unfortunately get very wet. It’s also very hard to adjust the temperature on the shower. I showed the staff my mosquito bites and they provided me with a fan to sleep and sprayed mosquito repellent. I really appreciate this as I managed to sleep well after that. The breakfast is ok but the bowls and cups are dirty, and still have food bits on them even though they are meant to be clean. Check in is very strange and obviously the owners trying to be economical. The hotel isn’t staffed after 4:30pm, so if you arrive afterwards, you must check in via intercom at the hotel. It’s very awkward and time consuming and they make you pay via a link sent to your phone. Also for some stupid reason, the lift has a door on each floor and they are closed. So when I used to lift on my first day, I was stuck in the lift as the door was closed. It is only when my colleague opened it, I was able to get out. Therefore I wouldn’t use the lift at this hotel.

But the location is amazing. So close to everything. Staff were helpful too and booked me a taxi to the airport.

Good one

Very disappointed to see a lot of availability online but in need of parking advice before booking I stopped by at the hotel to have a chat at the reception. Doors shut & very poorly attended. In plane daylight, the hostess was very untrustworthy seeing me on the video of the doorbell, didn't even bother opening the reception, spoke with bad manners, not interested in having 2 clients/rooms, asked if I had a reservation if not the hotel was full just to kick me out of the doorway. I wonder how the owners would react to losing 2 clients & make them seek 2 rooms at the 4* hotel next door, extremely well attended & adviced. I don't know how my stay was, or how the rooms were, I didn't get the chance to.... But I got for more less the same price a better & biger room than seen on pics & nicer service.

I had a terrible experience in this so-called three stars hotel, the worst I ever had while travelling. Leaving aside the smell of the curtains, the humidity, the noise from outside, no reception at night, and other details, I want to tell you what happened to me there. I came to Europe for five weeks to visit different countries. A couple of cities with friends and others on my own, which was the case in Gijón. I had made a two-night reservation in Alda Pasaje but ended up leaving early because of what I would describe as a traumatic event. On the morning of the 20th, I was awakened by a knocking on my door. When I asked who it was, they answered me "police". Not understanding, I asked what happened and they told me to open the door unkindly. The door had no peephole so I couldn't see who was outside. When I opened the door, I found two men in private clothes, one of whom can only be identified with a badge. They asked me for my document and I gave them my passport. They asked me several questions about when and how I arrived in Spain, both checking the stamps on my passport. I asked them what happened but they didn't give me any explanation. Seeing that what I answered matched the seals, they left. It was a very unpleasant situation, I was alone and I didn't really know if they were the police or what was going on. No one from the hotel went up with them. When I went down to reception to ask for an explanation, the woman there downplayed it, telling me that it was normal for that to happen. I have travelled through Europe before and this is the third time I have come to Spain, and I have never experienced a similar situation, nor do I know anyone who has experienced something similar. I was so traumatized that I was not able to complete my stay. I didn’t feel safe there anymore. The hotel did not refund me anything, they did not even apologize. In fact, the lady acted offended and didn't even look at me when checking out. I believe that this hotel is not up to the standards of a three stars hotel. In this world, if you are a woman on your own 10.000 kms away from home, you can understand how scary can be that two men show up at your door without notice, without uniform and with no reason to be there, asking questions and not answering any. There are better places to stay than this one for sure, DO NOT STAY THERE!

I stayed here for a couple of days between Caminos, and the single room (while small) was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It had a full bathroom, including a BATH. A BATH, guys!

The hotel is affordable, and centrally located. The true standout though, and the reason this was 5 stars, was because of the helpful and professional reception staff. Silvia in particular was an absolute delight, being overwhelmingly friendly and ever-ready to assist. It was a rare level of service, and it made my stay. Thank you!
