La Laguna Gran Hotel

A fantastic location within walking distance to all the attractions La Laguna has to offer. A beautiful heritage building facade, a beautiful foyer and cafe setting and an elegant wine bar that offers a variety of quality local wines and cheeses. The staff are very hospitable and the rooms are comfortable. Was a pleasurable experience.

Amazing place to stay and explore the island. The staff is super friendly, the food is great, the hotel very cosy.m and very impressively decorated. We felt really at home for the whole week we stayed here. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Hotel is just amazing starting from the reception.
The only minus is the parking. I suggest they make a Google Location for it rather than giving maps with directions in old style.
The elevators are kinda annoying because you need to always scan your room card, but you can get over it.
The pool looks nice as well as the terrace.
Breakfast is varied and tasty. 100% you find something to enjoy. I love the fresh orange juice.
The room is clean and modern. The bed is big enough even for single bed option. I love the pillow.
The receptionists are just so kind and i love their genuine smile and will to help.
I would definitely come back and stay there.

great hotel, but since we were in April 2019 the pool was not working

Nice location with an excellent price to quality ratio. My room (an executive rooom) was very comfortable and very well cleaned. The Hotel is strategically located in proximity of San Cristobal de la Laguna downtown. Car parking in the garage of the hotel is offered as an option to pay as an extra for € 12 per day. I absolutely suggest to try this Hotel both if you are on holidays or you are travelling for business.

Laguna Hotel has an excellent location and very convenient parking nearby. The reception service is outstanding, and the staff is truly thoughtful: they recognized an undeclared birthday with a special gesture and a note left in the room, which was unexpected and greatly appreciated. The room was incredibly spacious, and the common areas are tastefully decorated, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Excellent stay at a very well managed, clean and friendly hotel. Bedroom and bathroom very spacious and comfortable.Breakfast choices and quality of food superb. Staff in all departments most helpful, polite and friendly. Roof top pool amazing.

Thank you, Paola at the front desk. Our grandma was across some construction so she upgraded us for free to a beautiful room. The hotel is lovely. The service is wonderful! It’s a perfect location.

We had booked an executive room which, according to the photos on their website, had an adjoining lounge area which our room didn't have. However, it was large and did contain a sofa and was on the top floor in a corner of the hotel close to the gym. There were windows on 2 sides; one facing over a car park and the other towards a mountain. And most importantly, it was very quiet.
There was a bar fridge with bottled water and lots of wardrobe space.
The reception staff were always helpful and spoke good English. The atrium at the entrance is really beautiful with lots of seating between the many plants with drinks and snacks available from the adjacent cafe.
The restaurant "El Grandioso" is used for breakfast and has a 3 course dinner including half a litre of water and coffee/tea for 19 €.
The breakfast buffet is very good, offering a wide selection including local cheeses, fresh orange juice, fruit (no fruit salad), various breads, croissants and cakes.
The evening meal changed every day and offered a choice from 3 starters, main courses and sweets. The quality was good and the service fast.
There's also a rooftop pool, jacuzzi, gym and outside tables with a view over the city.
It's possible to park directly in front of the hotel entrance to offload or pickup your bags. The hotel does offer 12 € / day parking but there is free parking next to the hotel. Unfortunately it's usually full but with young men, expecting tips, waiting to show you to an empty spot! There's also a paid parking a few minutes away but again, often full.
As La Laguna is some 540 m above sea level it's usually 4+°C cooler than the coast. But what makes La Laguna a great place to stay is its world heritage listed glorious old town centre which is where the hotel is located.
Overall a very good, clean and comfortable hotel with many facilities.
