This is a wonderful hotel. Full stop. The more most beautiful interior in Puerto. A place that is obviously loved by its management and staff. The staff, particularly the maid services were the best we've seen in many years. It could not be more perfectly situated in the town. Great value for money. Extremely recommended.

Will definitely come back! Perfect location, beautiful green patio and a pool with a sea view. Staff was extra extra friendly and helpful!

The room was ok, the rooms are outdated and the bedframes not clean. A cockroach was found dead in my room and it wasn't cleaned the next morning, it was under the bed and the cleaner missed it.
The positives are the staff, the location, the price, having a fridge plus a desk where you could work complete other activities such as maybe applying make-up or something.

Very good hotel. Delicious food and good quality. Nice and polite staff workers. The hotel is located in the very center of the city. Very convenient. I recommend.

Very nice, clean hotel. Its old and the rooms are outdated but I think making it modern would destroy whole atmosphere of the hotel. My room had way too small bathtub and the balcony was facing a wall. Cleaner comes every morning to ask if you need a clean, if you dont put the "do not disturb" tag or you dont talk to cleaner to inform them to not clean the room, they will enter your room anyway. So, mind putting a tag outside your door so you have more privacy. My room had hard bed, which was ok to sleep. Its very cheap and affordable hotel, everything is super close and their restaurant is very good.

Our recent stay at the Hotel Monopol was not as we had hoped. The rooms were outdated and did not seem as clean as we had expected based on other reviews. Although we paid extra for a balcony, we were disappointed to find ourselves in an underground room with a "terrace" located beneath the swimming pool. Unfortunately, we could hear everything from the pool area and rooms above us. The rooms themselves could benefit from some upgrades, such as fresh paint and repairs to basic equipment like cabinets and refrigerators.
While we have stayed in Puerto del la Cruz before and had better experiences elsewhere, we believe that with some improvements, the Hotel Monopol could be a great option for travelers seeking affordable accommodations in the centre of the city.

Great location right in the square in the old town, the hotel has lovely character throughout. The rooms do have more traditional furnishings and while I wouldn't call them modern by any means, they are clean and in perfect keeping with the style of the hotel and price.

Great family owned place. Although it's been around for generations everything is clean and updated. Gorgeous common area. Funny,old, working téléphone. Super helpful and nice staff, especially at check-in. Very well located and good price. Would definitely stay again!

The room was fine, but the shower needs sorting it takes a while to get warm. Breakfast could have been better, Bacon was half cooked one day, then burnt the next. Staff was first class, in every way 👏.

A lovely hotel in the centre of Puerto de la Cruz. Full of old world charm and atmosphere. Our second time coming to this hotel.
From the moment we set foot in the hotel to the moment we left we were made feel most welcome and looked after.
Breakfast was excellent also. Something for everyone.
