An apart-hotel for unpretentious tourists. Even in the renovated rooms, the furniture, plumbing and kitchen utensils have seen a lot in their time. But that's not important. The room was not cleaned upon check-in, and there were constant problems with cleaning later. We contacted the reception a couple of times to ask them to take action - to no avail. But the location is generally good.

If you ask for a renovated and (somewhat) quiet room it’s really not as bad as reviews make it. Only quite noisy from the outside neighbors sometimes (so bring headphones to sleep) and I feel the room could have been cleaned better. But definitely worth for what you’re paying.

You get what you pay for. My partner and I have recently stayed at this hotel for 2weeks. We had specifically upgraded to a superior room to have one of the renovated rooms. We are there now which put down in a basement room which over looks a very small pool ,seems all the Germans get the best rooms from what I can see .. No pool bar around the pool so you have to go through the hotel to out side bar and bring it back.. air conditioning not work as well in the room

I stopped here, when passing by, for the Dinner buffet , which is open to the general public, which I noticed when I waled past. It is E16.50 and I was impressed with the quality of food. This hotel is great choice for a quiet, peaceful holiday. What a great place to stay, rooms, food and service were just amazing. Lunch and dinner suggestions proved by the receptionists were spot on! Stayed here many times in a 1 bed self catering bungalow and always enjoyed it. This time it was different. Felt like we're were gate crashing a private complex where locals stay. We have been coming here since the kids were little and it is a hidden gem. Good club, the room was fine and fully equipped. Pool and sun lounges if you want relax in-house. Breakfast and restaurant available. Good sleep quality. Staff was ok, in the evening you have no reception but you don’t need. Easy Check if you arrive late. Overall a nice experience.

Comfortable apartment, everything ideal for self catering. Apartment is a bit tired, but adequate. Pool was cold but plenty of sunbeds, pool towels provided. Not a great location though if you wants bars & shops close by. We had a car , so not a big issue. Recommend having some transport: car or bikes or using taxis.

Very nice attention from staff, nice and well looked after place. A bit old resort but very well maintained. The restaurant was expensive and the food very simple, the breakfast buffet seemed too simple for its price. There was no closed dining room

This was are 2nd visit here. I emailed to see if we could have one of the apartments with Sun beds out side. Was very pleased that they were able to give us numbers 1 and 2. We like that its only small and nice and quite. I must say you can here people going up the stairs in neighbouring apartments.

Third time of visiting these bungalows, and we’ve book to go back in 2024 for three weeks. Spotlessly clean, pool a good size, very quiet on an evening. There’s plenty of bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Looking forward to our next visit.

A brilliant complex, loved our stay. Just a pity it didn’t have a cafe/bar on site. The staff were really helpful and the cleaners did an amazing job in a tremendous heat. Definitely recommend for stay.

We had the most amazing time. Playamar Bunglows are right beside the beach and only 10 mins from the Yumbo Centre. There's so much to do and see all around. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the place was absolutely spotless. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again.

I recently had my first stay at the birdcage and have already looked at booking in for next year. As a soli traveller I felt welcomed by the staff who go out of there way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast is exceptional and does not leave you wanting for anything. The excellent customer service is a credit to the team that ensure your stay is relaxing and memorable.

The Birdcage is a beautiful oasis of calm just minutes walk from the Yumbo centre. Close enough to everything but just far enough away to still be peaceful and relaxing. There’s a pool with enough loungers for everyone, a jacuzzi, sandy beach area, massage area, bar and a lovely restaurant out on the terrace where breakfast is served. The location is perfect, very central. The resort is general is very well kept, with a beautiful garden and good common facilities and pool. The staff are all very kind and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Birdcage Resort. The service was truly fantastic, the breakfast was great, and our Junior Suite with its own terrace and garden/pool was clean and impeccably maintained. We enjoyed the feeling of freedom and relaxation. Finally we love Ralph and real host.

Jose was the highlight of my stay - always so welcoming and uplifting and funny and will go above and beyond. My room Dove Cage (second time) was very clean and comfortable. Friday night drinks with other guests was always friendly and fun. The restaurant recommendations (Lola and Bohemian Hotel) were excellent. Yumbo is very close.
