Hotel Riu Palace Meloneras in Maspalomas

Stayed a week here with my son just to have a quiet and peaceful sunny break before heading to London for a traditional cold Christmas. This hotel exceeded all my expectations. Such a great location, such aa awesome welcome, as soon as we entered the lobby, we we warmly greeted by Marco at the desk and he settled us in quickly and advised us to go have dinner as the restaurant would close in 30 mins.
We exhausted as we were over an hour late and the airline had lost one of our bags. Dinner was great, the food was sensational, plenty of options, seafood, meats, roasts, salads, pizza and pasta and desserts!! The whole week, the breakfast and the dinners were first class. The staff were genuinely awesome and so nice and friendly, especially greeted everyday with a smile by Jose and Cristian, who always greeted us with a warm smile and always asked how our holiday was going. The room was a generous size with all the amenities to make it a very comfortable stay, especially the shower, absolutely awesome.
The pools, well, plenty to swim in and plenty of deck chairs, the adult only infinity pool overlooking the North Atlantic ocean was a feature.
There is a promenade along the ocean at the back of the hotel and daily walks along there were so relaxing and helped work off all the food I kept eating. Plenty to see along the walk, which ever way you went, there were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and local artists selling their wares.
In the evenings there were entertainment every night, and I have to thank the barman, Romero, who patiently looked after my son, who surprised Romero with the amount of Fanta's and olives he could eat and drink.
All in all a great holiday at a very lovely hotel, I woill definately be back again, not just because the hotel was first class, but the staff were so amazing and it's greatest asset. All the staff we met and had dealings with were wonderful, genuine, friendly and possessed great customer service skills.
Again, a huge shout out to Jose, Cristian and Romero for making our stay so memorable.

My stay at the Palace Meloneras was excellent overall. The room was good, and while the view wasn’t ideal it wasn’t a deal breaker. The food was consistently high quality, and the staff were exceptionally helpful throughout my visit.
The only area for improvement would be the evening entertainment, which I found somewhat tacky and not particularly refined. In fact, I would have preferred no entertainment over what was offered.
Despite this, I would happily consider returning, provided I found a good value package and a better room

Another wonderful stay at this hotel. This was our 3rd visit and planning another for next year. From the booking in, the rooms. Restaurant and pools everything was fantastic. The politeness of the staff and cleanliness of the hotel is great. There are numerous areas for sun beds and they are available any time of the day.
The only negative I can give is some nights the entertainment could be better but apart from that it ticks all our boxes.
Looking forward to our next visit.

Our second visit fhis year and we will be back. The room maids are brilliant. The evening room check and extra towel service is a great touch. Restaurant service is also superb with waitersin attendance as soon as one walks in. Elias and Nico were excellent.
Reception staff are knowlegable and quick to help making one feel welcom immediately. We arrived late evening and the restaurant would soon close so we were sent to dine before check in and our bags were looked after until we returned to reception.
Food was excellent in general, the exception being the hot meats on a couple of occasions when they had been under the hot lamps for too long but we soon realised that the secret was to get in early when everything was freshly cooked. There were also some great fish options.
All in all a great holiday experience.

Just returned from the Riu Palace Meloneras, which is the best 5 star hotel I've stayed in, couldn't find fault with anything. Staff very pleasant and helpful, and service good with excellent food, and extensive outside eating area, which was great in the warm weather, and there is also an indoor restaurant. There are 5 fabulous, spacious pool areas, so no rush for sunbeds, unless you want beds at the 2 infinity pools. Beautiful grounds and gardens, everything spotlessly clean with a great location, and a lovely pool bar overlooking the promenade. Best entertainment I've seen in a hotel, with extensive seating areas. Would definitely recommend this hotel, which deserves its 5 stars. This hotel also couldn't be in a better location, with restaurants, cafes & designer shops just a few minutes walk on the promenade. Thank you to all the Riu Staff for a fantastic holiday.

Great services for a great price. Nice hotel, a short walk away from Maspalomas Beach, good selection of pools. Food absolutely fabulous...great choice, cooked perfectly. Staff is freibdly and nice, a solid choice for a great holiday. Secret tip: get the rooms with the garden view în the bungalows...the shower is absolutely unbelievable!!!, rooms are large, cleaning super ok. To mention Jose Emilio from the reception, great guy, save our holiday!!

Writing this on our last day. As usual had a wonderful holiday. Our room was ready for us when we arrived. Laura at reception was as efficient as ever and after a welcome drink we were quickly settled in. The room was very clean and there was a selection of fruit and water along with lovely flowers awaiting us. The food was as usual wonderful with a wide selection to suit all tastes. The two speciality restaurants were a nice change and we ate in each. It is very funny watching certain people hovering around the restaurant before it actually opens and then all rushing to get in. A bit like the rush for sunbeds in the morning you see at certain hotels ( not this one). Plenty of tables for everyone. The swimming pools are lovely. Plenty of sunbeds and excellent pool service. It is so peaceful at the swimming pools no piped music thankfully which would spoil the atmosphere. Again thankfully there are only a few activities at the hotel so no aqua aerobics or the like. The majority of the staff are absolutely wonderful. A big thank you to the amazing Felix, Romero, Janette and Erika and the biggest star in the place Manolo. Every hotel should have a Manolo. We hope to return again very soon and will count down the days until we do.

My stay at Riu Meloneras Palace was absolutely fantastic – stunning location, excellent service, delicious food, beautiful rooms, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic hotel in an exceptional area. The food, service and facilities were excellent and the hotel was lively, yet chilled at the same time. We initially thought that the spirits were expensive in the bar, that is until they poured the measures... Great value and a good selection of whiskies. The room we were allocated was a bonus. Directly overlooking one of the infinity pools and the ocean, we could not have asked for more. The location was stunning - close enough to sandy beaches, the dunes, and a multitude of bars, restaurants and shops. The 'White Party' at the hotel next door was a bonus - an outstanding night. The only niggles that we could mention would be that the gym is really dated and the equipment could be in better order. Some of the 'adult only' areas could also be better policed. These were minor and I'd have no hesitation in recommending this as a fantastic place to come for a relaxing break.

A First Class standard is provided every time we visit this hotel! The staff make this place the best, which I passed onto one of the managers on the morning as we left! Each member of staff from the dining room to the pool area to the room hostesses treated with friendliness and excellent service. I could fault one thing and we would be happy to return over and over again. Lovely family memories made ❤️ thank you Riu Palace Meloneras x
