Marina Suites Gran Canaria

We are leaving Marina Suites today and have truly had the best family holiday. We didn’t know what to expect but the hotel is excellent. It’s away from the busyness of Puerto Rico shops and bars but close enough to walk. The buffet breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice for the full family. There is a HyperDino supermarket a short 6 min walk away that had everything we needed for lunch/snacks/drinks, it was much cheaper than the spar near the beach. Some lovely restaurants nearby, and only a 5 euro taxi journey to the hustle and bustle of Mogan Mall with plenty of restaurant and bars to choose from. The pool area is this hotel’s unique selling point, it has stunning views over the ocean and boats passing to the harbour. We never had any issues getting a bed and could pick up fresh towels everyday. Lunch in the restaurant was excellent. We stayed in a standard suite on the 1st floor, which was ideal for our family as it was on the same floor as the pool and easy for us to nip back if we needed anything. The aircon isn’t powerful but the room was a comfortable temperature, my husband would have preferred it cooler though. The staff are attentive, polite and kind. We had the best time, we would definitely come back and stay here.

I would like to give it a 4.5 star review as there was some small issues just my opinion. On arrival a glass of cava very nice touch hotel is lovely and great location only 5 minute walk to a shop and some restaurants and a good 20 minute walk to the Commercial centre or 5 euros in a taxi. We were on the 6 th floor over looking the marina which was lovely didn’t get the sun totally on the balcony just on the edge late afternoon. Not a lot of drying facilities on the balcony either rooms are big and spacious but a lot of wee bugs and ants running around. Cleaners everyday changing towels and making beds not so much as in changing bedding or cleaning all the floor areas . One day the cleaner broke the shower head and never reported it . The pool area lovely not a lot of room between sunbeds and there is a sign not to reserve beds but that is ignored. Sun doesn’t really cover most of the pool till mid morning but that is due to the cliff and the back of hotel . We were self catering so no comment on breakfast. We had lunch one day but wasn’t very good again just my opinion. All staff very friendly and chatty . Bar at night ok staff a bit slow behind the bar but it was a nice glass of mahou . Rugs in rooms and bar area are a trip hazard. Not sure if we would return immediately maybe in a few years .

We arrived here on Tuesday travelling with our adult daughters. We had emailed in advance asking for rooms close together and that's exactly what we got. Our Select Suites on the 7th floor are stunning. Easily the best hotel rooms we have stayed in. They are large, fantastically well equipped and spotlessly clean. The beds are so large and very, very comfortable. I am so impressed with every member of staff we have encountered. We used the hotel transfer service from the airport and that gentleman was so friendly and polite. All the staff on reception are lovely as are the bar staff, cleaning staff, entertainment etc. The location of this hotel is first class. Breathtaking views and close to all amenities. The infinity pool is warm and a joy to swim in. The sunbeds are comfy and we love the decked area looking out to sea. We are bed and breakfast and I would highly recommend this option. The food is lovely with so much choice. This is our very first visit and I can guarantee it won't be our last! THE perfect holiday ☺️

Great experience!! Service always attentive and helpful - rooms very large and clean. All utensils required and great views. A room over looking the marina has a great sunset and afternoon/evening sunshine. Short walk to the beach/bars/shops

Having previously stayed in the partner hotel, Marina Bayview, we had high expectations of Marina Suites and it didn’t disappoint! Everything about the hotel was excellent, we found it wonderful to catch the late afternoon sun on the sea facing balcony and enjoyed some wonderful sunsets looking out over the harbour. All the staff are delightful and work hard to cater for every guest, always with a friendly demeanour. All areas of the hotel were maintained to a high standard of cleanliness every day. And the hotel restaurant, El Puerto offers the best food in the area and is highly recommended. We will definitely return to Marina Suites.

This was my 5th visit and 3rd with the family and first time I booked direct with hotel. Wish I had done this sooner, communication was great and they offer transport too and from airport at very reasonable cost. We had a double room and they really are spacious. 1 room had en-suite with bath and shower and main bathroom had this too. Staff were so friendly and it’s testament to a place when the same staff have been there for a number of years. No crazy mad dash for sun beds no matter what time you came down always some available. Was my daughters birthday when staying and they left a little cake and card in the room for her Food in the pool bar is lovely and a great choice. Lots of entertainment for children and daily guessing game for all. Cannot wait to get back and see those views ❤️

Wonderful location away from the beach but overlooking the marina . Infinity pool was a real luxury and the pool was in the sun most of the day . Food at the pool bar delicious and staff very helpful and friendly Bus easy to catch in the town and very reasonable to other nearby resorts . Lovely level walk from the beach to next resorts around the corner. Our Room had incredible sunset views and was so clean and the cleaner came daily with option to have 4 euros back if not cleaned. Sustainable hotel with recycling available . No complaints except on the last day we went to the pool at 10 am and most loungers had towels on them being reserved . Sign says not to do this but not followed on that day at starting Easter holidays and influx of people and children . We will go again for sure - loved our stay .

Friendly staff and very good rooms. We had a premier suite with a view over the marina. Big bed, full kitchen, aircon. Balcony with table and chairs plus comfy chairs. 10mins walk to expensive Spar. Another 10 gets you to a selection of restaurants then some more shops. We took a taxi to the big shopping mall. Worth a look better supermarket and a taxi home. Taxi was €8.75 each way. Best of both worlds for chill or explore. No real nightlife while we were here and that fine by me. No pressure evenings out eating and daytime chilling while choosing the boat we can't afford 🙃.

Stayed here for the first time. It met all the expectations of the positive reviews. Lovely welcome and all staff we dealt with helpful and polite. We were with TUI and had a beautiful room on 5th floor with sea and harbour views. Hotel is very well decorated and the grounds are very well maintained. The highlight for me was the pool, gorgeous outlook over the sea and , major plus for me , heated!! it was like slipping into a Carribbean sea. Didn't eat dinner at the hotel but lunch very good quality. Rooms v good , kitchenette has all you need, beds comfy and balcony has nice chairs to watch the sunset and a table for meals. Only negatives is I'd have liked a more mainstream restaurant at night as hotel is a bit of way out and elderly people maybe a bit stuck, and the showers are not brilliant, once set they are good but takes a bit of fiddling with and climb over bath not great these days. However, the location, staff and views outweigh any negative, lovely place to holiday
