Hotel Green Field

It’s a basic hotel with basic all inclusive food, although not a problem if you’re happy to eat out a few times as the location is great with plenty of bars and restaurants around. I travelled with my husband and two children. The room was very dated and small for a family of 4 (the courtesy room we used on the last day was a lot nicer!). We had a room at the front of the hotel over the bars, it is lively and loud of a night time but music tends to go off just after midnight so again no problem. The room had many faults, unable to lock balcony door, leaking air con and air con not very effective, these issues where reported and attempted to be repaired but quickly broke again. Majority of staff are friendly but one receptionist is extremely rude and unhelpful. Orlando one receptionist is really friendly and helpful.
Sunbeds are behind a gated area that cannot be accessed until 9am which is great as you don’t feel rushed to get up extremely early to reserve a bed.
We wanted to keep the room on for a late check out but unable to do so and had to pay to use the courtesy room, 6€ per person for 30 minutes. We didn’t get picked up until 7pm but on check out at 12pm we had to get the all inclusive wristbands cut off. Overall very basic and dated hotel, great location with plenty around and a walk away from the beach.

Just returned from 4 nights at Hotel Green Field - it is a very mixed experience and review… Hotel had only just returned a few days before arriving, so some renovations and paintwork were still taking place. This did affect whether we could use the stairs; sometimes the lifts were quite slow and obviously everyone using them when stairwells were out of use (temporarily). The hotel itself is clean and tidy, the decor of the rooms are a little basic and the bathrooms could do with an upgrade but they were fully functional and again clean (the most important!). We found the AC not overly effective, mostly noisy. Our lights didn’t work when we checked-in, and the maintenance staff sorted this relatively quickly… we did notice that it was possibly one of the trip switches from the boards but obviously didn’t want to touch just in case! The beds were comfortable, pillows a little hard but then again - it’s not your home pillow! The fridge didn’t really keep bottles of water cold. We didn’t pay the deposit for the TV because we’re not on holiday to sit indoors. Towel hire was simple. The pool was very nice, the artificial grass is a really good idea instead of tiles or wooden decking. The sun-beds were plenty but as it’s beginning of the peak season there was few/none left if you’re late down to the pool. The hotel manage to the “sunbed hoggers” in a very fair way - doors to the pool area do not open until 9am. The pool guard/estates guy clearly loves the “control” of making the hoards wait by pointing and looking at his watch until 9am exactly. It did create some amusement whilst waiting. Food- this is possibly the letdown of the hotel. The restaurant is on the bottom floor- there’s no air circulation/ventilation so there were occasions where it was “smoky” and left that ‘cooking’ smell on our clothes- more so than any other all inclusive hotel. We made the decision to eat first before getting ready for the evening as we tend to ‘dress up’ for the evenings on holidays. The food wasn’t the best quality - lettuce/salad looked limped, and the selection of food was not the greatest. Again, very limited in comparison to other 3star all inclusive hotels we’ve been to. I wasn’t very well the second day which we think was down to the food. Yes, initially I thought it was a hangover but I’ve never had a hangover that has progressively got worse over the day, and I’ve repeatedly been sick across the day, and not being able to even sip water. Other family members were fine initially, but again later in the visit didn’t feel overly well. We didn’t eat or use the facilities on Saturday purely from being slightly apprehensive about the food quality. Breakfasts were fine and had no issues with generally; but it seemed lunch and dinner/tea were troublesome. Drinks were fine- the pool bar didn’t open until about 11am (I don’t think) but then again, I was asleep on the sun-bed for most of morning as needing to be up early to claim a space by the pool. We d
