Really Barcelo gets 3 for value for money. This should be a great location, however my first impression on arrival is, I'm a Sausage being processed by the machine. It's all great. But had i bought it all individually, food, room, drink... it would have been better... without the butchers welcome on the first day or the excessively long walk to the room from reception.
Myself and my partner have just returned home from our 6 night all-inclusive stay at this hotel. We arrived to a bad start - the receptionist didn’t speak much English and couldn’t answer many of our initial questions. The first room we were given we had to request to be moved due to stains on bedding, bad smells from bathroom area and pictures on the wall literally hanging down/falling apart. Luckily...
Great place for families. Good service overall, with good food and decent drinks offer.
Rooms with good space (we were 2 adults and 2 kids with 4 and 8) but some of the room utilities showing some wear and tear issues, but nothing was a blocker.
Great environment overall with pool activities and live music.
This is my second time visiting this resort with my family. The last time was about two years ago and, just like then, we came on an all-inclusive basis. However, halfway through this stay, it honestly feels like I came to a completely different place.
On our first visit, we were assigned to the “Brujula” restaurant, which had a great variety and quality of food (we managed to go there once this time...
We have just returned from a week at Barcelona Punta beach hotel After reading a lot of the reviews I knew what to expect.. very Spanish! Jet2 doesn’t explain how big this hotel is..it is huge The rooms are large, some of the furniture a bit dated though, a great big bed, safe, plenty of wardrobe space ( never enough hangers) Bathrooms need updated, who uses a bidet these days!! Hotel is very clean...
Magic Room was a great family experience. We've done it last year and we liked it very much, so much we decided to repeat the experience this year.
Alba and António were great hosts.
The rest of the resort is very clean and cosy.
It's the 6th time we've spent holidays here, I suppose that says a lot.

Very good location near the beach. The hotel is quite spacious., and the parking worked very well (you can have a full stay ticket to enter and exit the park). Breakfast and dinner were fine. Swimming pool was good. One needs to book the gym in advance, as well as the sauna, which makes no sense, In addition, the sauna is paid for the hotle customers, again something that makes no sense. The rooms...
This was our 4th time to this Hotel, Very hard to beat for Location , Good staff and Value. Will continue to visit this fantastic Hotel .
May is definitely a great time to visit! It’s just before the tourist crowds roll in for the summer. The weather is warm and the ocean is cold! This resort has a great pool, is just steps from the beach, and situated on a nature preserve. Quiet, and relaxing.
Hotel is great with a fantastic location and the staff are amazing, however as in many places sunbeds at the pool were reserved and not used and no controls over that leaving many guests with no place to sun bathe
Excellent food, excellent location. The room was very clean and nice view.
Staff are lovely. Food is good. Hotel is nice but it's to far from the town. The beach was lovely and right behind the hotel

Hotel extremely clean and staff amazing
Just wish some guests would not be so loud when arriving back at their room late at night
Fabulous location to sea
Gorgeous pool
We came to the hotel for our senior trips. The room was very decent and clean. Our view wasn't the best, but I still recommend it. The best part is the staff and the employees. David at the buffet, Alejandro at the bar, and the rest are 10/10. Thank you very much.
It was a relaxing few days, with the beach nearby and a magnificent sea. The staff was exceptionally attentive, and the cleanliness and breakfast were excellent. The hotel and the town were very close by. Bars and restaurants were nearby, as was a supermarket.
Nice hotel in the area very close to the beach. The rooms are a bit aged for the price we paid, and the lift is extremely small. It is a bit far from the city centre but 1 minute walk to the beach. The breakfast buffet is nice with plenty of options. A great highlight of this hotel is the Customer Service at the front desk and the comfortable pool, but who wants a pool when the beach is 2 steps away
Quiet, family-friendly hotel, not at all crowded. Very pleasant and professional staff. Very good buffet. Everything was delicious. Very well-kept facilities and rooms. Close to the beach. To the promenade and stalls area, a 20-minute walk away. The adult entertainment was perhaps the weakest part, but the guests did not participate much.
Exceptional. From the moment you enter the reception, rooms, dining room, bar, beach bar, swimming pool, everything is great. All the staff are very friendly and diligent. Any incident is resolved in a flash. We will definitely keep coming back.

The hotel is about 15 kilometers away from Huelva, it takes you 20 minutes by car, 45 by bus. ******* listed it as 5 km away which is not correct. Besides that, the hotel is very well maintained, clean and the staff is very welcoming. The beach is 5 minutes away walking. The right spot if you want to enjoy the beach and only venture to Huelva an afternoon.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Phenomenal
Comfortable beds, excellent cleaning and even better service. This is the second time I've been there and I'll keep going.
Highly recommended hotel, both for the staff and for what it offers. The room was a little small but had a very nice little terrace (we were on the main floor). The beds were comfortable, there was good light for reading, and the bathroom was simple but had all the basics. It is close to the tapas area and the riverside promenade. The staff at this hotel were wonderful - they treated us well during our 3-week stay. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and our needs were met. We highly recommend this hotel. Also, the food at the restaurant is delicious and affordable. We will stay here again.

Excellent place to stay. Wonderful view of the seaside from some rooms and close to all facilities. Very quite and worth the price. Good food at the buffet at breakfast and dinner. Very welcomed personnel. Nice sunset from the bridge going to the seaside.
Very friendly, rooms good enough, though one of our rooms smells of smoke.
The hotel has been renued recently so the rooms are in perfect condition. The bathroom is great with a shower and a very good extractor fan. the room has a wardrobe with light inside and with a safe. When we arrived at the Nuevo Portil Hotel we were warmly greeted by Francisco, who was very fluent in English and explained everything to us very detailed. It was simply amazing and exactly what you would expect from a 4* hotel.
They took the time and explained us how everything worked at the Nuevo Portil and was even okay with our unreasonable amount of questions.
Breakfast is reasonably priced...
accommodation was very good great facilities, staff were amazing. quality of food was great.
Only problem booked golf with a buggy due to wife's incapacity. First day was so busy took over 5 hours to play 13 holes, so we did not complete the round. Second day no buggy available for our tee time so the golf has been a waste of time.
Nice hotel. Clean, comfortable, great pool and a good breakfast. All I needed.
Nice golf hotel with an excellent service. All staff very professional and the concept off three different choices at the three course dinner worked well. The golf course was in good shape and the greens held high standard. Unfortunately the driving range did not at all meet the standards. Old golf balls hard as stones. Kind of surprised you had to pay for them. But still I enjoyed my stay.
Was here on a golf break with a group of 9. The hotel itself was in great condition, and the staff made it a wonderful experience. The food was great, service was excellent. 10/10 will go again

A nice hotel, Nice friendly staff good breakfast and free parking. Cleaning was very good.
We have been there for a few days.
I'm going to summarize it. For what it has cost us and to be a 3-star hotel, a TEN.
Pool with a phenomenal atmosphere (until 22 HRS)
Full breakfast (for that price, what do you want)
Overall decent cleanliness.
Facilities consistent with their age, but working perfectly.
Nearby services, nearby beaches, a multitude of restaurants, bars, etc. just a few meters away...
We loved this experience! We did not hesitate to return, the staff was very friendly and responsive to any questions we had. Like the maids, impeccable cleanliness and extraordinary treatment. The pool was wonderful, comfortable and with plenty of hours for a last minute dip.
Nice place and wonderful people.
We have been twice this summer. The staff is very nice, the stay has been very quiet. They are always with a smile and if you need anything they always help you. V
We traveled with our one-year-old baby and then returned with the two children. To repeat without a doubt.
Quality price is very good. They include breakfast in the price but they could vary it a little. The pool is very well maintained. Super friendly staff, from receptionists to maids. A good place to spend the summer with the family.

Relaxing place, amazing views.
The hotel hall looks a bit like a prison hall with those grey metal doors.
Bed was comfortable and the bedding was nice and thick, we couldn’t feel that it was actually 2 twin beds put together (which always bothers me).
Friendly staff. Breakfast is basic, but made on request (egg and toast, crushed tomatoes, juice, coffee)
The peacocks 🦚 definitely make the place unique...
Amazing staff, food was great and views wonderful
One of the best places to watch the sunset. Its surroundings are beautiful. You can use the chill out area and restaurant without being a guest. The attention and service are outstanding. Highly recommended.
Fantastic. Great views. Nice and spacious rooms. Great customer service from the staff.

Great Location, typically spanish
The hotel catered very much for the Spanish, by that I mean the times of the restaurants - breakfast 8 - 11am, lunch 1.30 - 3.30pm and dinner 8 - 11. So if you are an early riser or have children ! We have lived in Spain so didn't bother us too much.
Pools also didn't open until 11am which was disappointing as it was so hot.
The food was repetitive but good.
Location...
It was a great discovery. Wonderful location. Stunning surroundings. The hotel was very nice, with excellent facilities and, above all, the staff was wonderful. Very attentive, friendly, and always smiling. Our visit was a pleasure. We will definitely return.
Great location and facilities. It was my birthday and I appreciated the bottle of bubbly in my room. The cleaning staff were were very friendly. The indoor pool was lovely.
The only problem was that we booked the hotel because it had a spa but the hotel did not inform us beforehand that it was closed during the two days that we were there. That was very disappointing.
Went here on a Saga holiday and had a great time. Room clean and bed comfortable. Food a bit repetitive but generally good. Staff all friendly and helpful - special thanks to Esmarelda and Lucian. Short walk to small friendly village with good fish restaurants. Great place for birdwatchers with good walks from the hotel. Would be happy to go back again
Great experience with my family. My daughter of almost 3y.o enjoyed the pool, food. The only thing is the activities are only for kids over 4y.o which it does not give the opportunity to the youngers to join even if the parents around. There is nothing bad about this resort, it has many nice features but on the whole it is slightly above average. Very nice hotel, facilities and staff. Pepe down at the pool side bar really made our stay a good one. Food was a little mixed but still reasonable enough. Only played the south course due to a mix up on the day and was challenging enough.

Excellent week with 5 rounds of golf. 4 couples in our group, and no complaints with hotel or golf courses. Apartment was run down. Bathrooms were very old and dated. The hotel portion was lovely!!
The room and resort were nice. the reception staff were excellent. The breakfast was a huge disappointment...and it cost about the same as the room itself and the charge for our 2 year old daughter was similar to ours. Would not do that again

Lovely hotel, rooms a little basic. Breakfast was a challenge as the hot food was always on the cool side and the bacon was like chewing rubber. Location is on the quiet side but the grounds and pool area definitely the best bit of the hotel.
Been there in May. Amazing hotel. Good parking. Next year I'll surely be back
It was the perfect place for a business conference. The building and rooms were well taken care of. The food was excellent and plentiful.
We have loved this hotel from the very first time, so we returned again after 2 years, the place near the sand afore, gardens of the hotel very nice, the town clean but poor in services and restaurants out of season, lots of buildings all empty end of may, must be very very crowded in high season.
The period we have been there, mid may, there has been lots of children (school classes), running around...
Good rooms, swimming pool is great and with enough space for all, garden is beautiful.
Breakfast is great, but lunch and dinner have a lot of space to improve. (this is reason why I don't give a 5 starts to Service)
Staff very kind.
Hotel for families, great environment.

Amazing and impressive hotel!!! Also of outmost importance, AMAZING PEOPLE. IRENE was extremely KIND AND POLITE really HELPFUL and explained to me all the necessary details, everything about the hotel and the area when I arrived!!!! But most importantly she made me feel comfortable as well as feel this hotel like my second home and treated me with a smile!!! Amazing customer service!!! WELL DONE!!...
excellent conditions. Extraordinary staff, always available and friendly. great rooms, windows difficult to close. varied buffet every day. few sun loungers for the hotel capacity. Swimming pool should also be bigger. We really enjoyed spending the week there. excellent animation
park hotel, 18 euros per day. ca outside red zone 7 euros per week, green zone 5 euros per day
Very good Hotel with a wide range of services and activities to do inside it. The food is good, where you have different dishes for all wishes and tastes. Everyday you have an after dinner show, where you can enjoy and laugh with the performance of Ernesto. You can also participate in the show. Definitely, was an experience which we'll repeat.
Amazing hotel with good service, good food variety and nice bedrooms. Nonetheless, has loads of kids and can be a bit noise in the nights.
It's 3min walk from the beach.
The hotel has a entertainment team that every day in the morning, afternoon and night have some activities for everyone (pool party, dance party, foam party, slides, hydro party, polo aquatic games).
Standard room sizes decent but slightly older. If you taking half board or room on the service I would not recommend as there are no tea or coffee makers in the room. Standard room bathrooms are with the bathtub not great if you are not about the plan but it's good if you like bathtub.
Swimming pool area
Swimming police decent size it's from 140 cm to 180 cm deep for kids there is a tiny one on the...

The food in general was good but could be a little better, there were few desserts.
A place to enjoy tranquility and an unparalleled environment
Everything is fine, except that it's a little early. Everything else is 👌
My rating cannot be other than EXCELLENT.
We traveled with my dog and everything was perfect. Spacious rooms with terrace, unbeatable breakfast and very friendly treatment from everyone, starting with the Cleaning Service. We love this hotel.
Hotel with all amenities. Good quality of facilities. Heated indoor pool.
Overall it’s an ok place. Room is nice, though balconies facing the back pool are very noisy. Breakfast is a mixed bag with some nice items but some of the staff are poorly-trained and could be more hospitable to guests. Services are limited outside of the summer season and the outdoor pool was closed. Definitely some improvements can be made but more or less ok, especially if you’re a golfer.

Property is beautiful. It's a very quiet area so not much to do but relax.
We were staying for 6 nights so we had to upgrade to a seaview. 18 euros a night.
I stayed here many years ago as a teenager with my parents and returned this September with my wife. And it was as good currently as it was all those years ago.
The facilities, the food, the location and the staff are all brilliant. Special mention to Antonio and Daniel who went above and beyond to help us. I will definitely be back.
This property is right on the beach. Shopping center with multiple restaurants right store.
We visited in October , hotel was quite and surrounding areas were shut down as it was out of season, we ate at hotel which was only option at this time of year, big hotel good facilities with helpful staff, it is positioned on a promenade that is 3-4 km with a huge sandy beach, I would imagine gets busy in the high season , whole resort looks to be only 15-20 years old,
Overall the hotel was good. Most of the staff were friendly except the woman in the gift shop who was very rude. Didn't speak any english, so wasn't going to help us at all. We went the beginning of October so most of the nearby shops were closed. It has an indoor pool which was lovely but be aware you are expected to wear a swimming hat which you find out when entering the pool. No notices were placed...
It’s an older place and showing wear. Stunning location. Good layout. We had a suite which seemed large. Lack of functional closet space and no place to put your suitcase to get it to accessible height so we left them on the floor. Buffet food is fair. Staff at check in were very helpful. The beach is really beautiful.

Pretty hotel, swimming pools and sun beds are many, Food is nice different each evening with a theme. Always warm. Pool bar burgers are a big dodgy and under cooked. Drinks no issues, play room for kids Entertainment is mediocre and 10pm every night which I feel is late for the kids. Kids club awful on for 6-7 same songs and dance every night. Good location with the beach If you like not leaving...
Firstly every member of staff here need all the praise in the world [minus the useless lifeguards who spent all day blowinf whistling at absolutely nothing are too busy chatting amongst them self] however all others work so extremely hard and for long period of times super helpful and so friendly. The rooms are absolutely incredible and have everything and more you need spacious and the beds so comfortable...
Just came back from Estival Islantilla. Stayed with my family . This is amazing hotel, right on the beach . Kids pool ,toddler pool. Entertainment all night. Food is very good. Staff all with hands free radio communicating in Busy time in raestaurant make sure you been seated . Facilities its clean. perfect place for holiday
Stayed here for a week from the 1st June with my dad sister and husband. First impression of the hotel was that it was clean and the staff were friendly. We booked an adapted room for my dad who’s in a wheelchair, the room was small there wasn’t any room to be able to get the wheelchair down the side of the bed so it wasn’t really adapted. It had a walk in shower but it was really slippery so we had...
Hotel with excellent location, cleanliness and pleasant staff. Our room had a view of the avenue, a little noise.
It's not the first time we go!! We love the location, facilities, services, staff…
