Amazing hotel right at a Sandy beach beautiful sunsets nice big variety breakfast they even have two pools amazing friendly staff amazing people love you guys r the best
Wonderful ! Good stay in a nice and comfortable place. Ocean view, walk under pine trees, swimming pool, beaches...
The rooms and beds are a little old, the shower is either freezing or burning yourself with scolding water. The rooms were however, clean and well maintained by the staff. The cleaning and maintenance staff are on point. The front desk is usually your only option that will speak english if you need anything and they are always helpful. Unfortunately the refrigerator is about impossible to use in...
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Playa de la Luz! Here's a breakdown of our experience: What We Loved: • Exceptional Food: The food was hands down the best we've ever had at a hotel. The spare ribs were especially delicious! • Environment: The entire hotel was very clean and well-maintained. • Comfortable & Clean Rooms: Our room was comfortable, clean, and met all our needs. • Friendly Staff: The...
Great hotel. I like the location and it's quiet (after 11PM). The bar and pool area were great, and there was live music some nights. The hotel also organized a few small activities around the pool on the weekend which was nice (ping pong, darts). However, there were two things with my room I did not like. There were same ants coming through the floor. And I don't understand why the shower/bathroom...

Wonderful hotel in great location Absolutely beautiful hotel in a great location. Reception staff were great. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, every detail has been added to make it as comfortable as possible. The shower was AMAZING!! Genuinely cannot fault this hotel in any way. Would have loved to stay longer but it was booked up. Wouldn’t hesitate to come here again if in Rota and would...
The hotel is beautiful and clean. Love the shower especially. The reason for my 3 star review - the hotel Wifi is AWFUL! It has been really terrible for 3 days in a row. A premium hotel charging premium prices should not have a Wifi system from the 90s! And this has been the case every hour of my stay, not just a few minutes here or there. Frustrated because besides this issue, the hotel is very nice
Nice locations. Parking was ok once we found out where it was at. Breakfast was good. Cleanliness was ok.
The hotel was absolutely spotless and the service was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the pool deck and the beach. The bathroom was huge with a nice tub and big shower. Easy walk along the beach to shopping and cafes. Parking in underground garage was very convenient. We didn't even need our car the hotel was so close to everything.
We enjoyed Hotek Duque de Nájera very much! The hotel is very well situated, very close to the city center. The staff is very friendly and helpful! 5 stars!

Located in the middle of everything. Walking distance to the beach. Closed NOV - DEC, check your bookings. Parking is really tight. Awesome pool. Breakfast is buffet for a price. My only complaint is you smell cigarette smoke in your room even if you don't smoke.
Great hotel to stay at in Rota! It’s within walking distance to many restaurants and a very close walk to the beach. The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds. The pool is also great. I would say my only complaint is that the rooms have ac but they’re not the best. Least for me I want one that blast cold air and sounds like a jet taking off ! Also if you have a car and pay for there parking it...
We have stayed here several times over the past decade. Always clean with professional staff, and a very convenient location for walking to a number of lical spots, including the beach. Their pool area is quite nice as well, and always spotlessly clean.
stayed at Hotel Carribe in Rota Spain for several months twice! I was with the US Airforce. The staff and owners of Hotel Caribbe became our Friends and treated us as life long friends! the hotel is absolutely perfect for anyone!
This simple no-frills hotel in downtown Rota is excellent. The complimentary WiFi is very stable with decent speed. There is a walled outdoor swimming pool. They have a buffet style daily breakfast for a nominal fee. Each room has its own AC unit. Just be careful the shower stall is very tiny, and the water temperature can be a bit finicky. Great value for the prices paid!
Nice hotel in excellent location close to the beach

Everyone was very helpful and the property was very clean . Loved the cafe
A good deal :) This is an inexpensive hotel . The front desk staff were helpful and nice . We ended up joining the locals in the adjacent bar for wine and snacks . Plus great coffee and toast in the morning !
Local hotel Great staff (especially Manolo the night watch) and clean big rooms. A bit loud and noisy until 2300 but nothing some earplugs won’t block out. Close to beach and old town.
Classic clean tourist hotel. Close to Rota Naval Base, beaches and historic center of Rota
Was referred here by Navy Lodge because they were booked. Clean, simple rooms for 50 euro. There is street parking or a dirt lot about a block away. I'll give this place 3.5 stars because walls are thin and it can get noisy, especially street noise in the morning.
Inexpensive, clean, comfortable, with everything I needed, easy walk to the beach and town centre. Friendly, helpful staff made me feel very welcome. There's a bar next door for coffee and breakfast Ideal for this solo traveller on a budget.

Pleasant to stay at. Close to the beach.
Good value Basic hotel but clean, friendly owner, well located, good value
Excellent staff and service! Walking distance to tapas bars and restaurants along with stores for shopping for souvenirs.
This property is a museum in itself. The old paintings were so beautiful. The hotel is right across from the Mosque. The tour ends there. Its not a quiet area, the noise was not bad. There are two bars right outside the front door. We enjoyed coffee, tapas, beer while people watching. There is no parking here yso you have to park a little ways away, but the walk was nice & plenty of places to stop...
Great location lovely property Just a magical place so calm and relaxed. We were greeted warmly and directed to our room. I had asked for a room with balcony if possible and my request was fulfilled. Just a stones throw from the beach and the property leant us beach umbrellas and chairs. Just a lovely stay overall

Rooms are big enough for a family of 4, well equipped and a nice balcony which gives you extra space. Great space, very close to the beach, with a relaxed and professional atmosphere, very pleasant. Excellent entertainment activities for the kids. We loved it.
A 3 night break in a Junior suite, our 5th stay in this hotel. All staff were friendly and professional, (special mention for Paula on reception). Everywhere is very clean, food is varied and good quality. As there were a lot of children there at the same time, the adults only swimming pool was very welcome. Well done to all staff, we will definitely be back for yet another visit.
We had a fantastic four-night stay. The food was amazing, and there were plenty of loungers in the pool area. The entertainment, Tirio, was brilliant as always, and the pool bar staff were incredible – especially Isabel, who was lovely and really attentive.
Hotel with poor maintenance and cleaning. Disappointing Desktop staff . Elevators without maintenance. Garage zone and access horrible. Nice to have chargers to electric cars. Breakfast with poor quality regarding fruits, sweets and jams. Poor coffee. Cleaning not good and ambient
A great hotel in a beautiful setting. The beach is just a few minutes’ walk away. The beach is wide and seemingly endless, with a lovely path running alongside it. You can take a walk to the neighboring town. We stayed here for a week with half-board. The food was varied and very tasty. The staff were helpful in every way. The daily room cleaning was excellent. Our family of 3 has been visiting Barceló Costa Ballena every summer for the past 8 years. We absolutely love it here! The hotel is clean, modern and perfect for our needs. It is located in a small, quiet town and a short walk...
The entertainment group made our hotel stay beyond special. Huge shoutout to them! They made it a unique hotel experience, one that you wouldn't find anywhere else.
Lovely Hotel. However, not much to see and do. You definitely need a car to get around. Only 1 Restaurant on site which didn't open for Lunch some days. Lobby Bar which sold meals, not snacks. Would have been great if they did a selection of Tapas. Staff here were great. 2 swimming pools on site, but 1 pool would close some days depending on occupancy. No information at Reception about the hotel...
Just stayed at Barcelo Costa Ballena with my pro and 10 other ladies. We had a super 5 nights there and would not hesitate to recommend others to this Hotel. The rooms, lobby, reception area, 2 pools bars, restaurant are all great, and staff are friendly and helpful throughout. (Just wish we'd had time to go to the Spa!)
I signed up for the yoga event, which was amazing. It was a good pace and the food was good, worth the price.
I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel!!! I am especially grateful to Concha Aumesquet who went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed and even recommended great beaches!!! Our initial impression of this hotel was awful with the check-in process, lasting 90 minutes, which was particularly challenging with a tired three-year-old in tow. The reception staff offered no apology and provided minimal information, exhibiting unhelpful and rude behavior throughout our stay. Despite the rocky start, the holiday ultimately proved to be amazing. The hotel itself is immaculate, and...
We have just returned from a week at this hotel. We are a family of four with two young children and this hotel did not disappoint! The reason for the 4 star is the lack of English speaking staff which made it hard to communicate, especially at the mini club when dropping my son off. However, even though there was a language barrier, the staff were super friendly, our children loved them all! A special...
Lovely hotel and very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful when they understood what you were saying. The rooms and hotel in general were always impeccably clean. The nightlife was good. It's a good hotel for those traveling with children. Not apreciate that the water park is also open to guests outside the hotel. Even with hotel guests, it's very crowded during peak season, and with outside guests, it's overwhelming. The pools were always full, leaving no opportunity to comfortably enjoy them. The...
Rooms are a bit dated and could do with a refurb. Otherwise food was genrally good and waterpark was amazing for the kids.
We're from Portugal and we went to see the moto gp in jerez and we chose this place because it was the best option for us (price, location and quality) it went well, and we liked it a lot! Good to leave the motorcycles protected.
It was very noisy. Because of the hotels design, the noise from the lounge/resteraunt area travels up into the hallways and rooms. For those of us that like to go to bed before 10pm, it is very hard to get to sleep.
Excellent resort to take the children. The obvious attraction being the aqua park the hotel provides which is big enough and fun. Also the proximity to the beach from the hotel was a bonus. An enjoyable experience all round. Food was great too and of a high standard.

Nice place to stay, beautiful rooms. It is located in a good area, a little far from the beach walking, but close to a nice are for dinning. The staff is nice and overall very recommended.
Beautiful grounds. Apartment is a bit dated. Very clean!
The property was beautiful, always clean, and well kept. The daytime reception staff couldn’t be more helpful and pleasant. However, the male individual who covered the night shift acted as though my group was a nuisance to him and it was a bother having us there.
We make 2 to 3 trips a year to this area to visit friends. This is always our first choice to accommodations. We've stayed in both the hotel side and the apartments - both are excellent.
Luxury without frills, a great hotel to stay with family and friends. Delicious breakfast and super kind staff. Great for an informal yet very comfortable stay. Fantastic place. Only things to improve: the cleaning ladies don't wear masks! As soon as they enter your apartment, they remove it. Really? This should not be. We are still in a pandemic. Wearing a mask is the least they could do. Also, one bed was making lots of noise. Kept me awake all night.

Amazing staff, great breakfast but disappointed with room. No kettle or coffee machine and the design of the bed was dreadful. There was no headboard or wall just à gap with a piece of 50mm wood which hurt my head if I sat in bed. We have stayed in a lot of Paradors but wouldn't come back to this one because of the design of the bed. A great shame because everything else was perfect.
It's an old hotel located by the sea, so the facilities are old and the hotel should be updated. The breakfast is neither good nor bad. Overall, the price/performance ratio is average.

Location is a bit of a hike to see anything worthwhile.
