We experienced the great power outage of Portugal and Spain. The hotel handled it as well as they could. Most essential facilities were working. Even their internet connection, even my wife and I of different networks, were down. They kept their bar open, which provided both lunch and dinner when most restaurants were closed.
Event though their own computers were down, using just slips of paper for orders that still kept their smiles. Amazing group of staff. Deserve a great big applause.
Food at the bar was a good surprise. Same type of food in tapas bars around town. Only slightly below quality of the top tapas bars. The restaurant was closed on the night of the power outage but also cooked for the bar. Seems like quality is the same.

Spectacular hotel. Location is superb. Rooms are terrific. One of the best breakfast selections I have ever experienced. Fabulous swimming pools. View over Cádiz bay is beautiful.

It was a quite nice hotel once upon a time, but it's sadly not been well maintained.
Multiple burned out light bulbs, dirty floors and many, many broken ascetics in the room.
The privacy blind/divider on the terrace (that would have been very nice) is unfortunately missing, and there's a public terrace next to the room with random guests stepping outside 5-10 minutes making it impossible to sit on the terrace in peace.
The cleaning woman also pooped in the room when she cleaned it so it smelled when we came back after breakfast.
Location is good and the terrace and views are nice it's just really not the quality you would expect from photos and reviews online.

I love this hotel, there really aren’t any bad rooms. They all have a balcony and are huge. You either face the sunrise or the sunset and there are also open spaces on the roof of the building so you can appreciate the views all around.
The location is great, right near to the old town and its delightful streets.
Staff are friendly for a Parador where they can sometimes be a bit chilly. Breakfast was comprehensive and tasty but the coffee machine was broken so they had to rely on Nespresso machines which meant waiting for coffee took an age.

Amazing staff, great breakfast but disappointed with room. No kettle or coffee machine and the design of the bed was dreadful. There was no headboard or wall just à gap with a piece of 50mm wood which hurt my head if I sat in bed.
We have stayed in a lot of Paradors but wouldn't come back to this one because of the design of the bed. A great shame because everything else was perfect.

It's an old hotel located by the sea, so the facilities are old and the hotel should be updated. The breakfast is neither good nor bad. Overall, the price/performance ratio is average.

The location is good, you can see the sunset from the room, but the price is expensive. There is no free water or tissues in the room. You need to confirm the breakfast time. After breakfast, my companions and I had diarrhea.

Overall, common areas are modern and spacious. Some rooms have beautiful views over the city, botanic garden, and sea side. The hotel also offers very good facilities such as the pool, jacuzzi & gym. The breakfast is exceptional with lots of variety to pick from.
However there were quite a few disappointments: service at the bar was really bad, with staff sighting and making faces when you ask to order something, the inner spa is at additional cost and the rooms are very small which does not make it worth the price we paid.
