We arrived at 15:30 and the hotel were aware of this since 13:00 by our travel agent. We waited some more time after 15:30 and at some point after further discussions and apologies we were given our keys to our room. Upon arriving a member of the staff was leaving our room with a vacuum meaning the room was not actually ready when we were given the keys. There was also a certain bad smell in the room. It definitely was not a nice experience and we would not choose them again. To be fair however, the rooms were nice, the breakfast underground location was a nice touch and the food was also quite good.

My wife and I have stayed at many boutique hotels throughout the EU, and had the opportunity to stay here this spring while visiting friends in HEL. The location is great; close to the train station, with quite a few places within walking distance as well, but what set this place apart is the staff and ambiance. We cannot say enough about the staff; friendly, inclusive to all, and you could easily tell they liked what they do. Breakfast was varied and fresh, and there's nothing like sitting with a throw in a comfy chair by the bar on a snowy night. Just a wonderful evening for tired travellers.

Excellent place to stay, even during renovations! The rooms are modern and clean. The location is good, only a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. The breakfast was amazing – probably worth staying here for the breakfast alone! It had everything from crepes and croissants to scrambled eggs and sausage to bread, ham, and cheese. I would come back again!

A really nice hotel pretty close to the city center. I was there during a construction project but it didn’t bother me much, other than that it affected the breakfast location.
The service was really good. When I arrived they went through not just the normal hotel stuff but also my Strawberry member benefits. I know them of course, but I never had them presented like this before.
Also, they let me check in a bit earlier than I expected. I took a chance and they managed to make it happen at no extra charge. Very nice.
The room was fine and actually had a decent working space. The bed was also good. On the negative side, not enough outlets. None by the table for instance.
The bathroom was small and a bit dark, but ok. The shower door actually managed to keep the rest of the bathroom floor dry. Not too common…
Breakfast was served in a large room. Apparently this was a temporary thing, which is good, because it wasn’t a very nice place to sit in.
Overall I enjoyed my stay here and might very well come back.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! There was nothing I didn't like about it. It's a converted castle so very pleasing to the eye.
The breakfast was brilliant so many choices from porridge to cooked breakfast to crepes, All very yummy!
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff are so friendly.
It's located very close to Helsinki city centre and has a lot of food options very near.
The gym was open 24hrs and while it doesn't have full gym equipment I was able to complete a good workout.
I was sad to leave! I would definitely like to return one day.

Wonderful hotel with some stunning features inside and out, adding to a pleasant experience. The breakfast was selective and healthy. The rooms were spacious and stylish. Location is perfect as the hotel is in a relatively quiet part of town but also within short walking distance to all main shops and Helsinki city centre.

Pretty good location convenient to public transit. The hotel itself is beautiful inside. The morning breakfast is to rave for —wonderful! Many homemade selections. Overall it was a pleasant stay but would have appreciated access to a fridge, microwave, or ice bucket. Front desk was willing to provide multiple glasses of ice upon request though. The front desk service in general was very great. FYI I could see my partner showering from the bed of the room though, a somewhat pleasant surprise of the accommodations. I didn’t find it to be a luxury experience to say the least, but I like what they’re doing here. Also it was convenient that wool hats and socks are sold in the lobby and the bar was open until 13:30, at least on the weekends.

We had a small but super cozy room. Nice staff and good location. The building itself is also very beautiful. And one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had in my life. I have to say that the price is quite high, but that's the case pretty much everywhere in Helsinki.

Excellent service, the staff is always ready to help and respond to any request.
The food is great, there is a large selection of dishes, both European and national cuisine. Cozy rooms with everything you need. Special thanks to the Duty Manager, Roosa, who took care of our comfortable stay at this hotel

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and it was amazing. Very nice staff, listening to your wants and needs and very professional.
The hotel itself is amazing, with the old castle look, inside and outside the main building.
The room we had was fantastic, and the bedding is very, very, very good. We slept So well.
Also, the reception is open 24/24h.
Regarding the breakfast, you have pretty much everything you might want. There was also some Finnish food, which I find important to have (local food) in those kind of buffets.
The hotel is 10 minutes walking from the center, So it’s very well located !
To conclude, I would highly recommand and come back to the same hotel if I had to travel to Helsinki again.
