Not a good stay. The room was cheerless, dirty, and just sad, with an even sadder view of a parking lot where people were smoking at 2 am while talking loudly. The bed was comfortable but the sheets had an odd smell. The breakfast was tasty, however the cutlery was dirty. The staff seemed like they had no interest in being there or dealing with issues.

I stayed a couple of nights during a business trip, and I must say the room disappointed me. It was very small and worn down, scratches on the bed frame and floor, and outdated interior in general. The view was a very boring building with a huge fitness sign, nothing like all the beautiful buildings you see in Helsinki. Furthermore a huge street lamp was right outside the window which made it very difficult to have the curtains open and made the room even more enclosed. The pictures on the website must be 10-15 years old. Staff was really nice, the above is not their fault of course. Breakfast is fine. I won’t be coming back.

While the room was on the smallish side, the staff and all the hotel services greatly made up for it. The staff were welcoming and ready to offer assistance in all things. They were great about allowing us to check in a little early, and quick to offer assistance with any question or issue we raised. The hotel was near many of the sights and also conveniently located to public transportation.

Charming, cozy, unforgettable!
The first thing that grabbed my attention was how unique the hotel felt—there’s this cool, medieval vibe to the building, but with all the modern comforts woven in perfectly. It’s like stepping back in time, but with all the luxuries of today!
The rooms are on the smaller side, but honestly, they’re so beautifully decorated and cozy, it didn’t even matter. I loved how everything was designed to make the most of the space. And can we talk about breakfast? It was so good—everything was fresh, and there were tons of options, no matter what you’re into. But what really made my stay memorable was the staff. They were so warm and welcoming, always there to help with a smile or just to chat about what to do around the city.
I left feeling like I had been truly taken care of. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We arrived at 15:30 and the hotel were aware of this since 13:00 by our travel agent. We waited some more time after 15:30 and at some point after further discussions and apologies we were given our keys to our room. Upon arriving a member of the staff was leaving our room with a vacuum meaning the room was not actually ready when we were given the keys. There was also a certain bad smell in the room. It definitely was not a nice experience and we would not choose them again. To be fair however, the rooms were nice, the breakfast underground location was a nice touch and the food was also quite good.

My wife and I have stayed at many boutique hotels throughout the EU, and had the opportunity to stay here this spring while visiting friends in HEL. The location is great; close to the train station, with quite a few places within walking distance as well, but what set this place apart is the staff and ambiance. We cannot say enough about the staff; friendly, inclusive to all, and you could easily tell they liked what they do. Breakfast was varied and fresh, and there's nothing like sitting with a throw in a comfy chair by the bar on a snowy night. Just a wonderful evening for tired travellers.

Excellent place to stay, even during renovations! The rooms are modern and clean. The location is good, only a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. The breakfast was amazing – probably worth staying here for the breakfast alone! It had everything from crepes and croissants to scrambled eggs and sausage to bread, ham, and cheese. I would come back again!

A really nice hotel pretty close to the city center. I was there during a construction project but it didn’t bother me much, other than that it affected the breakfast location.
The service was really good. When I arrived they went through not just the normal hotel stuff but also my Strawberry member benefits. I know them of course, but I never had them presented like this before.
Also, they let me check in a bit earlier than I expected. I took a chance and they managed to make it happen at no extra charge. Very nice.
The room was fine and actually had a decent working space. The bed was also good. On the negative side, not enough outlets. None by the table for instance.
The bathroom was small and a bit dark, but ok. The shower door actually managed to keep the rest of the bathroom floor dry. Not too common…
Breakfast was served in a large room. Apparently this was a temporary thing, which is good, because it wasn’t a very nice place to sit in.
Overall I enjoyed my stay here and might very well come back.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! There was nothing I didn't like about it. It's a converted castle so very pleasing to the eye.
The breakfast was brilliant so many choices from porridge to cooked breakfast to crepes, All very yummy!
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff are so friendly.
It's located very close to Helsinki city centre and has a lot of food options very near.
The gym was open 24hrs and while it doesn't have full gym equipment I was able to complete a good workout.
I was sad to leave! I would definitely like to return one day.

Wonderful hotel with some stunning features inside and out, adding to a pleasant experience. The breakfast was selective and healthy. The rooms were spacious and stylish. Location is perfect as the hotel is in a relatively quiet part of town but also within short walking distance to all main shops and Helsinki city centre.
