Walking to the hotel takes 16 min. Swimming Pool is good but opening hours are very short (limited to afternoon from 3pm to 7pm)
If weekend, the pool is opened for morning too but opening hours are very short too (7am to 11am). The changing room door could not be closed
Swimming pool, sauna, just to receive tourist groups, there are many people, good breakfast
We had the best stay at this hotel. We were supposed to stay 2 nights and we stayed 4. Sauna and pool really are great. The hotel is super clean and the staff is super sweet
The room is very clean, small but well-equipped. Convenient transportation, opposite the lake, very quiet and comfortable. The meals are very hygienic and rich, especially the local pie is delicious.
Outstanding customer service, easy to go location and excellent amenities

The wellness centre on the top floor is cool - two saunas, steam room, pool, jacuzzi and plunge pool. Staff on the front desk were friendly and quickly helped us with a cot and change of sheets
i had a great stay in this hotel. i experienced a refreshing atmosphere. quite impressive architecture. but the only problem is the location. far from city center / tourist area
Here’s an example review for Valo Hotel: --- I recently stayed at Valo Hotel and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The hotel strikes a perfect balance between modern design and cozy comfort
The rooms were impeccably clean, well-designed, and equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I particularly loved the smart layout, which maximized the space without compromising comfort
Valmo’s Got Style—and So Does Tanja Valmo Hotel is modern, comfy, and effortlessly cool—kind of like Tanja at the front desk. She made the stay smoother than Finnish vodka and twice as warm
The location was also a big plus—conveniently situated close to key attractions, public transport, and great dining options. One standout feature was the wellness area

Excellent hotel for business or city trip. The rooms are small but sufficient for a short stay. Breakfast outstanding and event has outdoor space for the summer days. Sky room and spa and open door pool on the roof!!!!
Craziest hotel I have recently visited. We can spend a full day at the hotel just to chill and relax. Skypool, sauna and Skybar are pretty awesome, marvellous view up top, and with lots of facilities
We could not use the chromecast (tv went black as soon as we entered chromecasting and no options to connect appeared), asked reception about this and they rebooted the system but we could still not use it
Good hotel for solo business trips. The sauna and the pool are extra nice. Perhaps the lack of a restaurant during the evening might be a downside.
Room was clean and with all the necessities needed. We asked the reception to borrow some slippers to use in the Pool area but they said those were only for certain rooms
A nice upmarket place but not so expensive. Good rooftop pool / gym / bar

Spent a few days here due to attending a conference in the city. Absolutely loved the place - now part of the Hilton chain but with real underlying character. My room was reasonably large and very comfortable
I didn't have any issues with the bathroom becoming waterlogged after showering. Comfortable bed with excellent pillows. Comfortable easy chair and desk chair
Finally, a word about the staff, who were without exception friendly, courteous, professional and helpful. Not sure if /when I'll be back in Helsinki, but I'd be delighted to stay here again
As others have said, some parts of this hotel do show their age a little, but for me that absolutely adds to its character. The design-forward approach extends to the restaurant
Such a serene experience. The hotel is located in a quiet, peaceful and greenery neighbourhood. It has a big park close to it where you could take long quiet walks!
I ate here a few times and all of the dishes I tried were excellent and not especially pricey by Helsinki standards. A pleasant spot for dinner as a solo traveller

The garbage on the floor was not cleaned. However, the beds are changed every day. The hotel's facilities include a heated swimming pool and sauna. There is also a fitness room
The location was good for a walk because it was in front of the lake. The sauna and swimming pool facilities were also good
The only shortcoming is that the House keeping service is not in place. After using the shampoo at night, it was not replaced tomorrow morning. There was no refill after finishing the coffee
Very satisfied, the service is also very good, I will stay here again next time I go to Helsinki.
Very good, great in every aspect. I will choose this place next time I go to Helsinki
I attended conference for 2 days. Food served during lunch buffet was really of good quality. Deserts served during lunch time looked like bakery chef craft with berrys and chocolate along with simple colorful macaroons.

The staff were welcoming, attentive, and consistently helpful, which made the experience even smoother. The location is slightly outside the busiest part of the city center, but still very convenient
It’s an easy walk to many attractions, and the area around the hotel feels calm and pleasant. Overall, a fantastic base for visiting Helsinki — I would happily stay here again
Beautiful location in walking distance to the churches and market and dining. Above all the staff went above and beyond! We would never have made the trip to Tallinn (computer issues) without their help. 👍👍
I had a great stay at Hilton Helsinki Strand. The hotel is clean, stylish, and very well maintained, with a warm and cozy atmosphere throughout
Mattress a little hard and a bit minus for the pool and sauna; desperately in need of a make over. Breakfast was nice and fresh with a wide selection
The breakfast was excellent, offering a generous selection with great quality ingredients — definitely a highlight of the stay

The location and environment are good, but children are not allowed in the swimming pool. The hotel art exhibition is also good
For those looking for a hotel that hits on every aspect, this is the one: - Location: couldn’t be more ideal as you are a quick walk to major sites, the train station, or tram spots to venture further - Service: impeccable, the staff treated us very well in fact any time we called the front desk to request something they were at our instantly - Ambiance: this is definitely one of the hotels that...
The room was very good! There were two large beds and a single bed for children! Toothbrushes, slippers and other equipment were also provided! There was also a soda making machine. Overall, I was very satisfied
The breakfast is rich and varied, the service is warm and moderate, the bakery downstairs is very popular, and the hotel is in a great location and you can reach everything on foot
Great, the front desk will greet you when you pass by. There is also a big park at the door. It is very convenient to go anywhere. Shopping malls are also around
Very niche thing, but really appreciated the GHD hairdryer - I’ve never experienced a hotel having the same high end hair dryer I have at home!

There was barely enough time to clock the marvellously quirky Art Deco interior and decorations (full sized horse lamp in the bar/reception area anyone?) After our tiring walking tour, all we wanted was somewhere to eat (this was Friday evening, mind) without having to walk to get there
A word of caution – I was in Room ***, at the farthest end of the building, necessitating opening many sets of doors, (some of which had to be opened with room key cards, others by pressing things) and a flight of unavoidable 6 stairs up to another level
Definitely the most civilised breakfast surroundings of the trip! I absolutely loved this hotel and its décor, perhaps because I’d lived in a famous Art Deco block in London and furnished it with replica Art Deco, but it might not be to everyone’s taste
First time I didn’t pack a dressing gown, and none of the other hotels provided them! Breakfast was beautifully presented – cloth napkins, cruets, cutlery and place mats on tables, and happily, no coffee machines
It took about 5 minutes to fight one’s way back to reception and carrying suitcases up the stairs and through all the doors would be difficult for some. There was a lift shaft near the room, but it was not in use
Tea and coffee (in large heatproof jugs and a jug of milk) was brought to your table so you could then help yourself. There were unusual local specialities, as well as standard buffet and hot food

Towels were provided but there was no shower gel or soap. The reception was open 24 hours, I believe, the staff was friendly and efficient. Some toiletries and snacks were available to purchase there
Very reasonable prices for a single room, which is actually a studio with a kitchen with sink, fridge, stove and oven, plus the ensuite bathroom, something that you not always will find in a hostel
The toughest part is that the rooms that face Hietaniemenkatu (in building D) face a bar, which gets very wild at night. If you are a light sleeper request a different building
A great Hostel! I stayed here while doing a study abroad for 3 weeks in Finland. It is generally clean and has a sauna available for those staying here
Good place to stay in the city, not so far from the city center. Big, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and good prices. I recommend it.
They could do housekeeping in shorter periods of time but nothing that really bothered me. All in all, good value for money

I needed to ask the reception to get my towels changed and at 22pmin the night one hotel employee was knocking the door and waking me up whether I have order coffee in my room (of course not, usually at that time I try to sleep)
I went to a concert in Helsinki and this hotel was near (walking distance) away from the Icehall. Service at hotel was very good and the room I got was at 11th floor, nice view. Room was clean and I liked how it looked
This hotel is ideal for me for several reasons: Hotel is well located. From reception onwards the personnel makes me feel welcome. Rooms are nice, spacy enough, well equipped and clean
Breakfast is excellent and included in price. Restaurant and Sauna available. Downstairs supermarket open late evening and week-ends
However it would be nice to have maybe small individual packages of hazelnutspread/nutella, because the pots that stand on the counter to be used are shared with people who use their knives to spread it on glutenfull bread, and this unfortunately gives cross contamination and makes me ill
Everything went perfectly, The service was great and The breakfast too. The hotel location is good. !

The color scheme and furniture of the rooms reflect Kallio's urban city atmosphere, without forgetting the earthiness. Some rooms have a view of Kallio's lively streets, others of the peaceful courtyard
Handy to central City, just ten minutes on the tram, out front of the hotel, which stops out front of Central Station
Such a pleasant experience. Very comfortable stay and good breakfast
What really stood out was the staff that they were super friendly and always willing to help. I had no issues at all during my stay, and it was much better than I had anticipated
The location is also really convenient and not far from the city center, and there’s a direct tram right in front of the hotel that takes you there easily
For being one of the cheaper hotels in Helsinki this has excellent price-quality ratio. The room was nice, staff very friendly, and breakfast was good for the price. I had no issues and would stay again.

I don't know about other room types, but the room we chose is very comfortable and located on the first floor of the hotel! The waiter said there is only one room of this type (if I remember correctly)! You can pay a little attention when booking a room~ The breakfast is also good
Luka (the night manager) in particular made our stay so wonderfully magical (we were celebrating a 5 year delayed honeymoon), but every person working there from the check in to breakfast staff to the folks in the bar at night were all top notch
The atmosphere in the breakfast restaurant was great. The selection was not particularly large, but everything was fresh, delicious, and nicely displayed.
I am travelling a lot for business and private as well and I can say that the F6 hotel is one of the best hotels I have been so far. Nothing here is standard, everything is special
The rooms are very comfortable equiped, have a lovely design and make you feel like at home. Beds are very comfy and not too soft. Service is very friendly and it seems they love their job

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, but a bit cold. The bathroom was big, but the shower was messy. Very close to restaurants, bars and trains. Breakfast was included with the stay.
Our room was a decent size and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good with numerous options. We were allowed to drink our own wine on their patio and use their glassware. That doesn't happen at many places
We stayed here for a couple of days (4-6 Nov) and my experience was very good. We were surprised to find a personal note and a chocolate to welcome us to the Hotel and Helsinki
Guests praise its helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet, free Wi‑Fi, sauna and Green Key eco‑certification. Walking distance to cafes, galleries and tram links
Original Sokos Hotel Albert is a cozy, stylish tucked in Helsinki’s trendy Punavuori. Rooms feature parquet floors, air‑con, heated bathroom floors and smart TVs
The Sokos was a fantastic choice for us. Walkable area with restaurants and groceries nearby. The room size was adequate, and breakfast was well appointed

It was a short stay but it was nice. Friendly staff and simple and clean rooms. I regret not having time to enjoy the pool and sauna.
I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay
This hotel highlighted the importance of sensory details. While the green tea handsoap in the bathroom was a lovely touch, it unfortunately couldn't mask a lingering musty odor in the room
In summer take earplugs, there is some kind of a machine at the courtyard that is super noisy in the night, but in summer you need to keep the windows open because it's too hot. With earplugs you can sleep well
The croissants were especially memorable, easily ranking among the top 5 I've ever had. The staff provided excellent service, striking the right balance of helpfulness without unnecessary fuss
While not essential for a one-night visit, accessible amenities are always a welcome bonus. The breakfast was a definite highlight, exceeding expectations with its quality and selection

I found the hotel really convenient, with easy access to public transport and close to the terminal for going to Tallinn, if you wanted to. It's also just a few minutes from the city centre, which is great
However, half an hour before check-in time, I received an e-mail with all the information I needed, and everything went perfectly
Useful self checkin if you arrive late. Room very clean, big bathroom and common livingroom with tea and coffee
One point to note is that there is no on-site reception, which I hadn't noticed when I booked
Smaller apartment close to the city center. Nice equipped room, big shower and quiet. 😊 🍴 There is a fridge in the room. On the floor there is also a shared kitchen with microwave, coffee maker
❗But during our stay the sink was not yet operational, so it was not possible to wash the dishes. 🚗 Parking in the underground garage for a fee. During our stay the price was 10 € / night

Everything worked well. The shower soap bottle was blocked in the shower, that was a small inconvenience. The bar had closed early when we came back from the theater trip.
Old Hotel 5 min walk from central station, nothing modern or renovated Standard rooms are small and Bathroom very small breakfast was very ok but standard stuff, nothing special Sauna ist ok, pool wall was very dirty at water level - this needs a ground cleaning ! Reception was friendly and explained some things also even if i didnt ask for that all in one something for a night not more
Good location, walking distance from the central rail station so it's easy to get there by train and air. Very helpful staff, great variety of food for breakfast

I asked them to store my luggage both before check-in and after check-out, and they were happy to do so
Location was great and right next to the tram that goes to the city. The bed was pretty comfortable too. However, the heater was broken and the room was quite small. The free breakfast was a nice gesture.
They had porridge, every type of spread and condiment you could think of, eggs, chicken meatballs, falafels (it's rare for hotels to have both warm meat and veg options), different types of bread, cheeses and meat slices, a salad bar, hot drinks bar, biscuit area (so many different types), yoghurt station, cereal station, different types of juice, fresh orange juice, and porridge
A simple, practical Finnish hotel with clean rooms, comfy beds, and a calm, minimalist style, but all cabinets and surfaces to place your stuff are there! Friendly staff and a tasty local breakfast make it a reliable, budget-friendly base for exploring the area
Easily one of the best stays I've had at a hotel. Even before arrival, I was contacted by staff who wanted to check ETA. Once I got there, staff were welcoming and lovely. The hotel room was nice and spacious
The breakfast area also had a children's play area. As this is not as common these days. Staff were also quickly replenishing any food. It's clear the staff have very carefully thought about their services
