The Yard Hostel

Had a great stay at the hostel, staff was friendly and helpful, the place is very clean and organized, and the location couldn't be better! Many good restaurants/bars/cafes around the building. Highly recommended for women solo traveling :)

The Yard Hostel is a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it. The hostel is located in very close proximity to the central train station and the public airport bus. Furthermore, he beds are great and include privacy curtains, hooks to hang stuff up and outlets. The Yard also has a common kitchen and plenty of bathrooms, and showers.

However, they don’t have anyone on staff to address guests bad behavior after business hours, nor do they have a monitored 24 hour emergency line. The only other con was for some reason the hostel wasn’t as social as others I have been to, but don’t fault hostel management for this.

My two nights stay at The Yard Hostel were pleasant! Rather cozy and spacious common areas inside the hostel. Nice and friendly atmosphere among the staff and guests. The bunks had curtains and were quite spacious. I stayed at two different dorm rooms and the first one lacked a window to open, so the air felt very stuck and not fresh. Location in Kamppi was great and even though it was rather busy area, the sound isolation worked. Just on the morning somebody was using a drilling machine on a wall inside the hostel space and that was a bit annoying. All and all it was 4/5 to me. I can definitely recommend The Yard Hostel as a pleasant and centrally located nice hostel in Helsinki!

One of the best hostels I've stayed in! It was very well-organized and clean. The room was big, the bed was comfy, and I appreciated that each bed had its own curtain, providing privacy. The common room was spacious and charming, and the inclusion of a kitchen was an added bonus. Another plus point is its location—right in the heart of the city

A very good place to stay few days in Helsinki ! The chambers are pleasants, the common room is also great and all the Yard Hostel lovingly looked.

Super clean. Super easy to check in and out. I only had one dorm mate and he was very cool. It was in a neat part of town. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hostel! Perfectly located close to the central train station. The communal area was spacious and cosy. The showers were very clean with powerful shower heads. Would definitely stay here again.
