This hostel is more like a hotel. I totally enjoyed the experience on a moored boat.
Good fun. Drinks on the deck had great views and happy chirpy staff.
Definitely go again

(Please read till the end to hear about the wonderful Mr. Janez! )What you would expect from a boat converted to a hostel. We had THE BEST sleep we've had all trip on this boat. AC was perfect, the white noise and lighting was perfect. No complaints. The outside of the museum has a fun playground and park for kids and has a comfortable breeze to be able to stay outside and enjoy the weather.

My absolute favorite part of this stay was meeting Janez! (I hope I am spelling that correctly) We met Janez on our way out to check out and catch our train but I really wish we had met him the day we arrived so we could chat more leisurely. He is an absolute pleasure to speak with and he made me feel the most comfortable and welcome since arriving to finland. Don't get me wrong, everyone is super nice but Janez is a pure gem! Thank you for stoping us to ask where we are from and speaking to me in my native tongue! Although, you definitely speak it better than me and that made me so incredibly happy. Thank you for making my day and giving me a beautiful memory for this trip! You made my heart happy❤️

For food, we highly recommend "Chingon" located in the food market. That place feeds the body and soul. We expect them to receive a Michelin star in the near future.

Clean sheets, a warm shower and a breakfast 15 minutes from the center for 50 euros a night.

A charming hotel with friendly service!
The bed was a bit stiff and the bathroom drain smelled for a while after showering, but the room felt clean so it didn’t bother me too much.
The breakfast offered a small selection of breads, coldcuts/cheese, yoghurt, granola, fruits, oatmeal, boiled egg and coffee/tea. It felt fresh and was served in a cozy dining room with a view of the port. The tasty tea selection was a plus!
The location is close to the castle and Viking Line but kind of far from the town (ca 30 min walk).
The service and charm made it all worth the price. (There was a sauna but I never tried it).

S/S Bore certainly has a colorful history. Now serving as a hotel, restaurant, and museum ship at the Forum Marinum maritime museum. Only a small part of the ship is open to museum visitors, which is perfectly understandable. S/S Bore used to be the Kristina Regina cruise ship, and that part is nicely exhibited with some original interior cabins, offering a peek into old-fashioned cruise ship life. An interesting addition to the Forum Marinum experience.

It was a great experience... the place is great with a touch of life at sea. Very relatable experience being an ex-seafarer it brings back the memories of my previous job. Thankful enough. The staff in the information/front desk and cafeteria are all doing great.

Me and my friend thought that it would be cool to stay on an old boat. But its not a cool place at all! The rooms are extremely small and dusty, and looked like they have'nt been maintained at all. The window could'nt open and the room was so hot. Me and my friend ended up almost not sleeping at all. We ended up checking out early the next day. This place is a disgrace and absolutely NO ONE should stay here.

A unique hostel to stay at with lovely staff. The breakfast selection was minimal and not all the showers were available for use, perhaps because the hostel was quiet the weekend we stayed. It is a bit of a walk into old-Turku, but it’s a lovely walk along the river and there are plenty of buses and scooter-shares around! And fortunately, the free morning saunas have re-opened!

Fantastic experience, how it was to travel on cruise ship long ago. Staff is very nice.
Boat provides conference rooms, breakfast (no restaurant service during winter weekends and covid time unfortunately).
Boat offers common space though, with the small kitchenette and lounging space.
There is little museum, a window to the life of the crew and passengers.
It is a chance to sleep in the museum, but there are of course bathrooms in the cabins
Accessibility note
Unfortunately it is sixties boat, narrow corridors, stairs, thresholds, no lifts and no way to install them.

Lunch restaurant is very good quality. Salty seas exotic atmosphere, as can be expected from old cruising vessel.
