Novotel Caen Cote de Nacre

We had a warm and friendly welcome to the hotel. The staff were approachable and knowledgeable about the area and which was the best way to get around the area.
The room itself was ideal as it was mainly somewhere to have as a base. The room was spacious, and a good view of the swimming pool and table tennis. The bed was very comfortable and again quite spacious, both of us had a good nights sleep.
The food was amazing both in the night time as well as the breakfast which was included in the price of the hotel.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent staff. Comfortable, spacious room. Nice warm pool. Good restaurant. Breakfast a little on the expensive side. The first visit to the car park/entrance can be a little confusing, but afterwards is fine. Staff don't wear name badges so I can't name the ones that particular impressed in the bar and on reception.

Good value and well located accommodation as part of a family holiday in France. We found all the staff very friendly and having access to the pool was a great bonus with the hot weather on the day of our visit.

This is a relaxed hotel with a pool, conveniently situated in Caen close to the ferry port.
Rooms are standard, communal areas are clean. The breakfast buffet has a good range of items, including some GF products.

Convenient location. We walked into Caen centre. Plenty of parking. Comfortable room. Good food and service in the restaurant though the tables were rather close together.

Friendly welcome from helpful young man on reception. Amazingly quiet room. Tasty meal. Good choice at breakfast.

Great hotel, clean and modern. Staff were awesome, helpfull and friendly. Breakfast very nice, lots of choices. Location is good and bad. Next to the highway, 5 mins from downtown, but heavy traffic at rush hour. Not a big deal though. There is a bad smell from the bathrooms, as long as the door is closed no problem.

Nice rooms and the staff has been helpful. Lots of amenities that I haven't normally seen in a US hotel. Restaurant is good. We walked to a few bars and the walk at night was fairly easy and didn't take long.

The inside is nicer than it looks on the outside. We were here as part of a group tour. The room was clean and beds were comfy with plenty of pillows. There is working air conditioning that’s actually cold and you can set the temperature in your room! It was wonderful and helped me sleep well without overheating at night. They put extra towels in the room so that is nice. There is Rituals brand hand wash and shampoo in the room. Our room had 2 shampoos and a hand wash bottle but no conditioner or body wash or soap bar. Breakfast is quite good with plenty of options like yogurt, croissants, bread, fruit, eggs (you cook it yourself), sausages (my favorite), powdered eggs, coffee, and Kusmi tea. We had dinners at the hotel and it was ok. Some nights, the upstairs neighbor was a bit loud. There is a free water bottle fill station which is awesome. Overall, a good place to stay.
