How often can you say that you spent the night in a castle? This is the cutest place and super convenient. It was very hot when we were visiting Carcassonne and it was nice to be able to go back to the room and cool down for an hour when needed. The room was very nice and the service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and they even let us check into our room early. I'm so glad we stayed here: Great location, great service.

Although there's no car parking at the hotel, the porter service is fast and efficient. Love the mediaeval period look of the hotel with modern amenities. It's located inside the old city, so it's convenient to walk around and take photos.

Great hotel location and very helpful, friendly staff. Lovely buffet breakfast for a family. We had a great family room facing onto a well-maintained garden with lovely city views. We arrived early they stored our luggage and when leaving arranged a transfer of our luggage (we had alot) to where the taxi collects you. Thank staff at Hotel Donjon!

All the staff were welcoming, warm and extremely helpful. Our bedroom was charming and quiet and we slept very well. The location within the walls of the medieval city was outstanding, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back to stay again.

Plug socket not working on one side of bed. Faulty toilet flusher. Lamp not working on one side of bed. Freezing cold room. Really poor.

A lovely hotel in a perfect location to enjoy the medieval city. Bed was lovely and comfy, room spacious and the hotel had a lovely feel to it. I would stay again and definitely recommend it.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Carcassone cite. Very friendly and professional staff. All speak English if needed. Everything was very easy. Great breakfast.

Best place to stay within the Cite! Staff are very friendly, helpful, and spoke good English. The rooms are great with a huge king sized bed and a view of the walls and towers from the window. Breakfast buffet is very well worth the money with fresh croissants, fuits, nuts, bacon, sausages, eggs, yogurt and so many more. The coffee is great too. Location is perfect, right up the port d l'aude and has lots of food choices nearby.

A really lovely hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. We would recommend two nights if you can manage it so you can really appreciate being in the Cité. Walk down the hill for the old bridge at night and views of the cité lit up. Absolutely stunning experience to sleep in and wake to see outside your room.

I did not stay in this hotel, which I am sure is a fine hotel. I had to put a star in order to have this evaluation published. The issue is that they do not have any environmental respect. While we were visiting the city the hotel car was parked with the engine running and no one in it. We passed about 30 minutes later and the car was still there with the engine running, all with no reason and no one inside. This is ridiculous pollution, all on a day about 36C! For this I recommend to avoid this establishment.
