Our stay was a bit disappointing. For the prices asked one would expect much better service.
When visiting Carcassonne, the location is perfect. And the 115 year old hotel has lots of charm. The staff at the reception is friendly and professional. The service at the pool is poor. I had to asked twice for cushions and towels on the sunbeds. And staff seemed not happy to do this job.
Room cleaning is not consistent. One day there was turndown service in the early evening, with fresh towels and refill of the water bottles. The other day there was no service at all. Same is applicable for the bar. One day it is perfect, the other day is bad.
Breakfast is ok, but you have to do a lot to get a fresh prepared omelet. Strange for a 5 star hotel and strange for an MGallery hotel.
As said location and atmosphere of the hotel is excellent, but nowadays thats not enough to keep on top.

Beautiful rooms, a fantastic restaurant and bar and dog friendly too. The crémant de Limoux is delicious. The jacuzzi is small but luxurious, though the steam room was not working when we visited, so do ask before. A real treat.

Very good hotel and very good staff especially the front office manager for helping me with my problems. Very good restaurant staff and bar staff. Would like to comeback to stay longer and Very service minded people. Food awesome and breakfast manager Very friendly. Sommelier knows his wine for a very young age. Very professional staff and love having conversation with bartenders.

We loved our stay in Carcassonne. From our arrival to our departure, the hotel staff was always helpful, professional, and courteous. Our room was like spent out of a fairytale- luxurious finishes, elegant decor, comfortable bedding. Everything was impeccably, clean, and well cared for. The hotel grounds are beautiful. We wish we could have stayed longer and look forward to visiting again.

My wife and I had an amazing lunch experience at Hotel de la Cite Carcassonne!! It was one of the meals we looked forward to the most on our holiday and it completely delivered!! The food and service was absolutely top notch! Each dish was really well balanced and absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Carcassonne. If we ever get a chance to visit Carcassonne again, we will definitely return for dinner. Really elevated our memory and experience in Carcassone. Thank you and we will never forget it.

We absolutely loved the Hotel de la Cite. Location was spectacular and our room was magnificent. We had the medieval suite which was gorgeous and historical. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We visited this hôtel on route to the Camargue in mid May. This hôtel had been on my 'hit list' for some time, and it in no way disappointed. We were escorted to our room by the receptionist, a very nice touch. Upon reaching our accommodation, we were to find it beautifully decorated, as it was the occasion of our wedding anniversary the bed had been festooned with red paper hearts with towels shaped to represent two loving swans. Within thirty minutes there was a knock at the door and we were presented with a very nice bottle of the local bubbly, a very pleasant touch and tasty indeed.
We left the room after a quick wash and rest to free ourselves from the travel fatigue after an hour or so to take a stroll around the cité, our second visit to Carcassonne and do a little tourist shopping.
Upon returning to the hôtel we readied ourselves to dinner at La Barbacane, and what an experience that was to be. A restaurant that has truly earned their star rating, all hail the chef, Jérôme Ryon.
After a wonderful sleep in a very comfortable bed, breakfast was another good experience, an ample choice of both a hot or cold buffet taken within the same room as dinner the night before.
I have no hesitation in praising both the hôtel and it's staff and have no hesitation in highly recommending this hôtel, one day, soon I hope, we shall return.

A stunning hotel, ideal location. Check in was not great as we were never informed of where the pool or jacuzzi were and we were told to go to a restaurant that supposedly reservations were made, but was closing when we arrived.
The young man who delivered us and our bags too and from the hotel was perfect though.

Wonderful hotel in an amazing location. Staff were very friendly and kind. Rooms were clean and comfortable, wifi was strong and the hotel breakfast offered a lot of variety and quality food. Perfect for exploring the fortified part of Carcassonne for a day. We also had massages at the hotel and spa and they were amazing. Impeccable service, I would stay here again.

An exceptional hotel both for its location, in the heart of the medieval city, and for its comfort. Everything is perfect: from the pick-up at the parking lot to the transfer by an extremely helpful and friendly team of valets, to the charming decor, upkeep of the premises, the kitchen and above all the breakfast buffet: a common occurrence at MGallery hotels, I have never seen such a rich, varied and high-quality buffet. It's very expensive, but it's not a steal at all. Quality pays off.
