We really enjoyed our 1-night stay at L'Absinthe Hotel and wish we could have stayed longer! Raphael at the desk did a great job of welcoming us and telling us sights we should check out in Honfleur, and also provided personalized breakfast service. They have a nice communal room and honor bar downstairs in the lobby. We stayed in the top floor of the second building overlooking the harbor. The room was beautiful and perfect for a family of three! Location was great, easy walking distance to sights and restaurants.

What a gem this hotel is! We have just spent 2 very pleasant nights here to explore Honfleur before heading back to England. Having spent 3 weeks touring all the way around France this hotel was one of our favourites. We just loved this chic hotel in a very comfortable and well equipped room and ideally located next to the harbour with a wide range of restaurants to suit everyone. The welcome was superb and although we only had breakfast on our last morning, it was simple but very well presented and set us up for the morning. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the small team who were very helpful and informative about the hotel and local area. The car park is located about a 3 to 5 minute walk but very easy to find and both spacious and secure. Should you prefer there is a public car park a located about 100 metres away. Although it is possible to stop outside the hotel to unload, I would recommend smaller cases as they are more manageable (we managed quite well with a heavy case though so it's not really a problem)

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it, primarily for its location, the view from the room (ours overlooked the harbour) and the charming support from the staff, who are extremely helpful.
We would have given it a higher score but the decor is a little lacking in some areas, the breakfast needs improvement and overall we wouldn’t describe it as a “boutique” experience, which left it feeling a bit pricey for what it delivers.
These are relatively small issues in an otherwise positive experience and they wouldn’t stop us returning.

Absolutely fantastic little hotel. Just beware it doesn't have an elevator. It does have secured parking about A5 minute walk from the hotel. We were greeted by Raphael and he was the best concierge you could want. Very helpful in English and French. He can tell you anything you want about the town of Honfleur. He made us dinner reservations for both nights we stayed, as well as a fantastic petit-déjeuner. Just make sure you get your breakfast order in before 19:00 so he can call the patisserie because you'll want the pain au chocolat that he orders. It was the best one we've had on our trip in France.

We were greeted and checked in by Raphael, he was very welcoming and also knowing it was our first time in Honfleur gave us a lot of great information about the town. Our room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The breakfast is made to order and they bring in absolutely amazing pastries from a local shop in the mornings. The location is central, and the staff are also very helpful with dinner reservations for local restaurants.

We had a room overlooking the fisherman's harbor and it was great. Very nice accommodations, large bathroom (with jetted tub and rain shower), plenty of storage, and a comfortable bed.

The hotel is located steps from the inner harbor. There are plenty of restaurants just seconds away with others within easy walking distance.

The "for a fee" breakfast was plentiful and really fresh. Maybe the best croissants we had in France.

Our hosts, Victor and Raphael, were very professional, friendly, and super helpful.

We would definitely stay here again.

We were greeted warmly and shown to a table out on the terrace, which was ideal on such a lovely warm day. We were given an amuse-bouche after ordering, of a gazpacho with sweet peppers, which was delightful. For 'entrée' we ordered poached egg with truffle cream sauce, terrine of foie gras as well as millifeuille of salmon. For 'plat' we ordered pollack in a spicy chorizo sauce, duckling in blackberries as well as plaice in a Camembert cream sauce. The desserts selection included Paris-Brest, soufflé with mango and passion fruit as well as a raspberry mouse in a dark chocolate shell. A cheese course was also included on the set menu as well as having the a la carte menu to choose from. The wine list was extensive with a good quality selection. The service was excellent, with very professional and attentive staff. The overall cost was justified by the superb quality of the excellent dining experience. We can not recommend L'Absinthe hotel and restaurant highly enough. Looking forward to returning when we next visit Honfleur. .

Very clean, well kept and nicely furbished hotel. But the KEY is the location. Had a lovely view of the harbour. It is close to all the key things one wants to do in Honfleur, walking, shopping, restaurants. Loved our time there. Breakfast room is great. It helps you to wake up slowly but cheerfully. Great experience.

we stayed on dec 31st to jan 1st and had a single and a double room ( No. 2 & 3 ). Free wifi and a cosy entrance hall with fireplace and coffee/tea. The location is on a busy street but 10m off and the rooms where calm. Surprisingly modern and matching brownish colours, very welcoming. The bathroom was spacious with a separate shower. We enjoyed our brief stay. One point to say, the reception seem to have a staffing problem, it was tough to to find somebody for check-in. Ringing the bell did not help, I made a phone call to get somebody to come. Very good, they have a garage not far away, so no stress to find parking.

We stayed here on our way back to the UK from Brittany. We booked a suite (room 7) as a last splurge. We were not disppointed! Our room was in the attic of the main building (they have some rooms across the road). It had lovely old worldly charm, which was very much in keeping with Honfleur old town in which it was situated. It also had all modcons and the Jacuzzi bath was a big hit in particular. The bedroom and the bathroom are also quite spacious. My only slight complaint was that the partition in the room between the main bed and the two singles had a very temporary feel to it and so if you planning to put the kids in one half of the room and you in the other it doe snot work well. Location is great and you can park across the road in the public car park. Staff were also friendly and helpful. Wifi is good. Tv only has news channels in English. Went to the adjoining restaurant that owners run also and that was great too. So overall I would highly recommend the hotel and is worth the cost!
