Food: delicious
Service: staff professional and friendly however we waited forever for 4 hot chocolates. Finally they bought empty cups, then we waited some more, then they came back and took the cups away, then we waited some more, then they brought the tea pot with the hot chocolate inside but we had no more cups, then they had to have us wait some more to get the cups and that was only for 2 hot chocolates on the 4. The 2 last ones arrived finally some minutes later, lukewarm. Sent them back, can back some more time later... Lukewarm...er...
So yes they were good, but took too long and the whole thing was disorganised among 3 different waiters. After all this mess, no discount offered as you would expect from such business and when you see the amount they charge per item. One would expect perfect service.

My recent visit to the hotel's bar turned shockingly unpleasant when the manager insisted I remove my hat with "Free P…e," labeling it as "provocative." It felt like a discriminatory assumption, implying potential offense to guests and even suggesting a risk of violence and clearly revealed a preference for one race over another.
Such prejudiced actions marred the experience, and raise an alarming message highlighting a disturbing lack of neutrality and fair treatment.

We booked a chalet for our family holiday and the experience and service we received at Grand Hotel Soleil d’Or is wonderful.
Although we had a little issue on the first night of arrival (power shortage at midnight, phone could not reach the reception and we had to find someone at the front desk), the hotel solved the problem and tried to make sure everything is alright the next day.
The hotel is located right in the heart of the town and within easy walk to nearby shops and restaurants, the free shuttle service to nearby areas is very helpful for guests; the area is so beautiful and our chalet so cozy and we didn’t have enough time to explore the hotel’s chocolaterie, restaurants and spa, but the impression was very good. You have to save some regrets for next time.
The most attentive concierge, Fabien, arranged everything including babysitter, transfers, local information etc. for us during our stay (yes, we exchanged long emails but in a very helpful way), the hotel’s atmosphere is cozy and personal, we had a pleasant time.
A big merci beaucoup to Theresa and her team, highly recommend this place for your stay in Megève.

This hotel was perfect from A to Z. First off, the rooms were spacious, luxurious, and so beautifully decorated. The reception area and the tea room were so aesthetically pleasing to the point where I didn’t mind staying for hours and soaking up the beauty. As for the service, it truly cannot be topped. Everyone was so kind and joyous, always greeting us with smiles. I truly want to thank Fabian - he put in so much effort in making our plans and suggesting places to go and try.

We booked a Suite which turned out to be a simple room, but charged at the price of a suite! We had the worst experience at the Spa and terrible treatments. The rooftop bar was extremely loud with bad entertainment as from 19:00, we couldn’t even hear ourselves talk to each other. No elegance at all in this hotel , which I would give 3 starts, certainly not 5!! . The hotel did not give any compensation for the terrible stay, and keep stating that the room had a chair which served as the « lounge area » - hence why they call it a suite! A true disappointment. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel for anything.

Les petits caprice restaurant stay away place the worst dining experience in my life service very slow and the chateaubrian was very yucky and over cooked the presentation was very poor and add to the prices were not to par. Avoid
