Aiguille du Midi - Hotel & Restaurant

Lovely hotel in a stunning location. Family run, with friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food, with a particularly generous breakfast, cheese, and desert selection.

Rooms are a bit basic but charming, and the bathrooms have been modernized throughout.

Close to train and bus connections making it easy to get anywhere you want in the valley.

A great Hotel with English staff, which makes it really easy! Totally delivers what it says on the can and friendly helpful staff!

It was so wonderful to return to Hotel Aiguille du Midi after 15 years. The hotel is in the most beautiful of locations, with absolutely stunning mountain views on their doorstep. It is a 5th generation family hotel (which is such a rarity), it has a lovely friendly, welcoming atmosphere, delicious breakfasts and dinners and cozy traditional decor - it was like coming home each day, at the end of a day of skiing. Access to Chamonix and its resorts was easy with the bus and train. We loved our 8 day stay and will definitely be back as soon as we can.

I Stayed at Hotel Aiguille Du midi for one month, which is the longest I’ve ever stayed at a hotel while travelling o/s

This time around I didn’t even get through all of the hikes that I could have!

Every day, it was amazing going out in either direction with several cable cars taking me up to wherever I wanted to go with loads of options of how many hours I’d choose to hike and at a pace that feels right for me. ( The multi pass for the cable cars which included bus train was very good value . It also had extra things Included that you could enjoy😀

It was a great location situated in the middle with cable cars on either side that would take you up to the Alps to do loads of hiking !
It was actually slightly to the middle and a beautiful location which was very nice to have that peacefulness without it being totally secluded and the train was only one minute walk away!(No noises from the train station at all!)

Fantastic family owned hotel. Every detail was looked after and the staff (mostly family) was passionate about making your stay memorable. Food for dinner and breakfast was the best! I would give 10 stars if allowed!

Straight from walking threw the door, everyone was so kind and attentive. Looking after our every need. The food was amazing. Home made and everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Couldn't recommend it enough

We just came here to eat something after a walk. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed (it closes at 14:00). The location is ideal, service was very friendly and we really enjoyed our time here. Ideal for our children (small playground by our table) and for our dog. Highly recommended.

Honestly, it would be hard to give less than 5 stars. This family run place is just in a quiet and beatiful fraction just outside Chamonix that makes it perfect base for stunning hikes, relax and even paragliding. The staff is simply lovely and they helped us above and beyond for our stay. While recommending, will come back again to try climbing up to the glacier I see out from my window. Great for families.

Nestled not far from the center of Chamonix (approximately 10 minutes by bus), this hotel boasts a convenient location, with both the train station and bus stop just a 2-minute walk away.

The team was incredibly helpful, kind, and accommodating, especially considering the numerous questions we bombarded them with daily. Their patience was greatly appreciated.

However, there are a couple of noteworthy points: Firstly, the room layout was quite unusual for me, with a separate toilet from the bathroom. The inconvenience arose from having to wash hands in the bathroom after using the toilet. Additionally, there seemed to be a sewage issue, as there was a persistent unpleasant smell in the elevator.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would certainly consider staying here again on our next visit to Chamonix.

Lastly, I must mention the restaurant, where we enjoyed an excellent dinner. Every dish was delicious and thoroughly enjoyable.
