Reviews
The staff were extremely polite and always willing to help with a smile, making us feel truly special. The breakfast was rich and made with fresh ingredients – every morning felt like a treat!
If you’re looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway in Mykonos, Greco Philia is exactly what you need. I highly recommend it and would definitely love to return!
From the moment we walked into the room, we were hit with the overwhelming stench of raw sewage. It was nauseating, unbearable, and impossible to ignore. The room we were given looked nothing like the photos advertised online — what they’re selling is pure false advertising. Dingy, dirty, and disgusting. We were so appalled by the smell and condition that we had no choice but to immediately leave and find another hotel, paying out of pocket just to escape this nightmare.
To make matters worse, the staff was completely unhelpful, dismissive, and downright rude. They refused to issue a refund and instead strung us along with excuse after excuse, showing zero accountability for the appalling state of their property. It felt like a deliberate scam — take your money, stick you in a health hazard of a room, then ignore your complaints.
This was hands down the worst hotel experience of my life. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. It’s filthy, misleading, and run by people who clearly don’t care about their guests. Avoid this place at all costs — spend your money literally anywhere else.
From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The view from our room was like a postcard — endless blue sea, golden light at sunset, and total peace. Every morning we’d wake up to the sound of the waves and enjoy a delicious breakfast on the terrace, surrounded by that magical Mykonos vibe.
One afternoon, after a long swim, we came back to our room and found a surprise — a small handwritten note from the staff wishing us a beautiful stay, along with some fresh fruit. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and moments like that made us feel truly cared for.
The team at Greco Philia goes above and beyond — always smiling, always helpful, but never intrusive. The design of the hotel is stunning, and every corner has something beautiful: whitewashed walls, natural stone, and little artistic touches that make the place feel both elegant and welcoming.
Staying so many days there gave us the chance to slow down, reconnect with nature, and really enjoy each moment. If you’re looking for a place to relax, feel inspired, and be treated like a true guest, Greco Philia is the one.
I already miss it — and I’ll definitely be back.
We rented an apartment for 6 people in what is supposedly a 5-star hotel, expecting comfort and a relaxing vacation. Unfortunately, instead of rest, we were met with major disappointment and stress. After using the shower, all of us ended up with green hair – water analysis confirmed that the chlorine level was significantly above the norm, which is absolutely unacceptable, especially in a bathroom.
We reported the issue immediately. The staff assured us that “the problem had already been fixed.” Five of us heard this clearly – there is no doubt. However, in later email correspondence, the hotel falsely claimed that no one ever said anything about a fix, and instead stated that “everything was within the normal range” and that they had only tested the water. That is simply not true. The property is misleading guests and denying its own words.
Instead of enjoying our holidays, 5 girls had to seek professional help at hair salons – removing the green stains from our hair cost €200 per person. There was no apology and no offer of compensation. If I decided to take this to court – I would win easily. We suffered real financial and emotional losses.
Additionally, an older woman at the reception (most likely the manager or owner) was very rude and arrogant. In a 5-star hotel, one expects a certain level of courtesy and professionalism. On top of that – bottled water in the room cost €5 (!), there were power issues in some parts of the apartment, and the total cost for 3 nights was a staggering €2000.
I can understand chlorine in a swimming pool – but in the shower? How else were we supposed to wash ourselves? No one expected such high chlorine content in the tap water.
In summary: I absolutely do not recommend this place. The price does not match the quality, and there is a complete lack of care for the guest. Photos of the green hair are attached – let them serve as a warning to others.
P.S. Stars only for the waiters and bartenders. They were very nice and helpful.
Service and staff are top notch. Great welcome drink and tour on arrival. Easily sorted an ATV to be delivered and showed us how to order food/drinks to the hotel. Staff at breakfast were extremely friendly and attentive, some of the best service in Europe.
Room was cleaned each day to a high standard, the good aircon was a blessing. The bathrooms are a little bit dated which is expected given the age but still very clean.
Great spot, would definitely stay again.
