Iconic Santorini, a Boutique Cave Hotel

THE BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD! We are so happy we decided to stay in Imerovigli instead of the bigger busier towns. The room, the views, the location, the staff, the food, overall service.. All excellent. We had a magical time.

I cannot say enough about this resort. This resort felt much more like a 5 star resort than 4 with the exceptional cleanliness and service. The view was unreal!

Exceptional service and professionalism: From the moment we arrived, we could tell we were going to have a great experience. Because the resort is a bit of a walk down from the main road, multiple staff members met us at our car to show us to the resort and carry our bags. We received a private tour of the resort and they explained where everything was located, how to request/schedule different things, and operating hours for the restaurant and bar. Our room was not ready yet as we arrived pretty early in the afternoon, but the staff brought us to the spa area where we were served a welcome drink and given a map of the island where they explained how to best navigate it along with restaurant recommendations in different areas, and offered to book cars/excursions for us. They also helped book our spa service right when we got there. We ate at the restaurant while we waited for our room (which was ready shortly after) where we had delicious drinks and a gyro platter. We frequently requested change for our larger euro bills, which they happily provided for us. The bar and restaurant staff were also very kind and attentive.

Beautiful, clean rooms: Our room exceeded our expectations. With a large, private outdoor terrace complete with a private, heated and jetted tub (this was SO nice to be able to use at night as it gets pretty chilly in the evenings), table and chairs, and two comfortable lounge chairs with an umbrella. The view was absolutely unreal. The room itself was a nice size—the bed was massive and incredibly comfortable. There was an AC unit as well that kept the room cool. The resort is also only 19 rooms, which explains the very personalized service they provide to their guests. The housekeeping also left different kinds of chocolate for us in our rooms each evening which was a very nice touch.

Breakfast brought to our room every morning: a huge highlight and very nice surprise was that they bring your breakfast to your room each morning for you to enjoy on your outdoor terrace. The staff provided us with a sheet to select our breakfast items, drinks, etc and the time we wanted it delivered. We had the option to keep it the same or change it each day which was very nice. Just another way to enjoy the beautiful outdoor space of our room. Breakfast was included at no additional charge.

Exceptional cleanliness of resort and rooms: this resort was so incredibly clean and well maintained. Staff was constantly sweeping away debris and leaves/petals that came off plants. The housekeepers cleaned rooms and emptied the trash multiple times a day which was very nice. They run a tight ship here and it shows! You never had to ask for anything to be replenished—they promptly replace used beach towels and bath towels.

Quaint, clean spa and wonderful massage—my husband and I booked a couples massage for our honeymoon trip and it did not disappoint. While the spa was small, it was beautiful and clean and the massage therapists did a wonderful job.

Spectacular view: this is the resort you picture when you think of those Instagram videos of Santorini. It almost looks fake it’s so beautiful. And the view is unreal. Be advised this resort is very high up on the cliff side so there is no beach but has a very nice pool and lounging area.

Great Location: This resort is situated in Imerovigli, which is quieter than the very popular Oia (20 min drive) but it still has a good amount other resorts, restaurants, shops, convenience stores etc nearby—you are not isolated and can get a taxi very easily. We walked to Thira one evening which is about 10 minutes away and had a significant amount of restaurants, shops, bars, nightlife, etc. We loved the walkability and getting back to our resort area which was more quiet.

I highly recommend this resort and would come back in a heartbeat!

Best location we have stayed in all our years of travelling. The view over the caldera from our balcony was absolutely stunning. It was high up on the rim of the caldera and gave us a full 180 degree view. While the room (room z which I think is the best in this hotel) is quite small this was not in any way a negative remembering that this hotel was built into a cave and the ambience of the room reflected this. The room was spotlessly clean and kept that way by the staff, the bed was king-size and very comfortable and the bathroom was quite spacious. The decor was minimal and again reflected the type of room it was. A nice bottle of local wine was part of the welcome package and there was also coffee facilities and two large bottles of water.
The hotel has its own restaurant and again the views over the caldera are just to die for. The staff are also fantastic. In particular I must mention Alexander who just enhanced our stay through his friendliness and looking after us around the restaurant, bar and pool.
Nearby are other restaurants.
I simply cannot recommend this hotel more highly - our stay was incredible.

Except no irons or ironing boards. But they made up for it with a steamer. We like looking fresh all the time.

Absolutely beautiful. Stunning views from any location. I have booked a Loft Room which has the bedroom upstairs and rhe bathroom on the main floor with a sitting room. Outside my door is a balcony with lounge chairs where you can eat breakfast. The service is the best I've experienced anywhere. They not only come each day to clean but they come back at night to refresh the room, water, clean again. And leave truffles and more water and ice. Pictures are views from my balcony as well as the complimentary 3 course dinner that was absolutely delicious. I also had a spa treatment that was also very good.

Outstanding service, wonderful views, excellent food, and quiet location make this small hotel a great choice in Santorini! Rooms are comfortable but not overly luxurious. No view from inside rooms due to cave style, but just step outside your room for WOW panorama. One of the best dinners we had on our entire trip! Low key restaurant, not white table cloth, but delicious lamb and nice wine choices. Eat on your private terrace for unforgettable experience. Staff goes out of their way to assist and pamper. Imerovigli is in perfect spot, midway between overcrowded Fira and Oia. Highly recommended!! Not as pricey as some other 5 stars, a good value.

This hotel is just perfect: spacious rooms, attentive staff, magnificent food and above all, the most stunning caldera views. 100% recommendable. This is one of the very few hotels with such amazing views that you lose the desire to visit other nearby points of interest.

Exceptional Boutique hotel. Iconic provided everything and more that we needed for our 3 days stay in Santorini. The location is perfect with the best views in town! It is nice / quiet / and clean. We were greeted with some welcome drinks by Georgia. She gave the best food and activity recommendations .She handled all our booking and transportation which made our vacation mindless. Literally everyone at the hotel was great. We can’t thank them enough for our most memorable time in Santorini!

Let’s face it, the view is one of the main draws for this place, but the hotel itself was lovely and quiet with spacious rooms, excellent service, and a good sized pool which was perfect to cool off in after exploring the island.

The only thing I would say is that some of the rooms aren’t as private as you might imagine. Given the nature of the design, you will occasionally get people walking past your room which means you have to be careful getting changed with your windows open. Unless, of course, you’ve splashed out on a suite.
