Where to stay in Kalathas

Creta Vitalis lives off its rented cottages. The hotel is basic but clean. The breakfast falls into the same category. The noise insulation between room and corridor can be improved upon. The taxi drivers have the tendency to charge from the airport the same rate as if going to Chania.

Me and my mum spend 4 nights at this hotel. In my opinion the place is worth the price. Beautiful gardens, stunning flowers with romantic paths. Hotel is situated close to nice beach and good-size swimming pool with comfortable sunbeds ;) Room is just about with everyday clean bathroom, fridge and new TV ?. Breakfast is ?. But if you looking for some sausage and black pudding you won't find it...

We visit Crete yearly. This hotel is an absolute must for us. Unsurpassed Service, Safe, Clean, 3 Beaches are minutes by car, Many lovely rooms to choose from, Pool, Traditional Cretan Atmosphere, Close to All Amenities, Bus Route within 100 m. , 15 minutes from Chania or Airport! We love it here?

We’ve been travelling a lot in the world but I must say the staff at this hotel as amazing. Iro and Mari are so nice and helpful. We had an amazing time there. The breakfast was really nice, the restaurant too. We had sea view rooms which is a must . We would definitely go back there. The sunset is beautiful

Lena Beach Hotel is a hidden gem. Stunning location and truly excellent service from all the staff. The shared areas of the hotel are so well maintained and the dining area, terrace and pool area are beautiful. The rooms are basic but clean and functional. It didn't bother us at all but if you like a touch of extra quality in your bedroom furnishings then maybe not for you.

Stayed here for two nights during my and my wife's anniversary trip, and they helped make it amazing. Mary was so helpful in giving us ideas on where to go to get out and have some fun. They had outings available if you wanted, but that is not my wife's style, we had rented a car ( they can help you with that) They also have a breakfast bar, which will start your day off well. We stayed at Lena Beach Hotel for three nights and we really enjoyed our time there. The staff was very helpful and kind, always happy to help. We liked the breakfast very much. It was diverse, tasty and fresh. The pool was great, and there is also a beach near by with some shadow.

This is a nice hotel - staff is friendly, location close to Kalathas beach (2 min walk) with rooms having a terrace overlooking the sea. Breakfast is fantastic, buffet-style served on a large terrace overlooking the sea. Room is decent size. There is private parking of the hotel, which is handy. The complimentary bottle in the fridge is much appreciated. A couple of downsides - pillows are really hard...

Wonderful villa with a unique decoration from the Zaira shop and a unique design by the renowned architects of Chania, Mr. Varoudakis. Delightful is the outdoor area of ​​the pool, which is also available to enjoy your meal. Don't miss the wonderful outdoor massage area. Ideal location too, as it is close to the city, the airport, but also to the wonderful beaches of Akrotiri.

Amazing place just outside of Chania. Had a lovely week stay. It has everything you might wish and want, you can tell the owners put a lot of love into the place and really care about their guests. Really good value as well. Only thing that I could think of that could be better is the location but it only takes 15 minutes to get to the center of Chania or the airport. Would definitely recommend this...

Luxurious and spacious. Nice beds. Good kitchen. Wonderful pool. Beautiful garden. The neighbourhood is quiet. It is the perfect getaway spot, or an excellent base of operations for roaming around in Chania. Recommended for multiple couples, or a large family.

Very grateful for this hotel! We had a cancelled flight early hours of the morning and the owner’s kindly put us up and helped order us a taxi to the airport later that day. They were very lovely and helpful and we really appreciated the room after a 9 hour delay at Heraklion airport, followed by a cancelled flight and then a 2 hour taxi to Chania. Very nice owners. Possibility to check 24/7. Rooms are clean but nothing special. The garden and pool are really charming.

A nice and quiet place. Really enjoyed it. It's built near the area of Saint Onoufrios. Houses contain all the comforts including pool , TV , grill , beverages and coffee . Staff is really friendly. A small oasis 10 minutes away from the city of Chania. Thank you.

Loved the location near a very nice and romantic small beach and fishing harbour. There was en excellent taverna as well. The property had everything you could wish for, with two good sized bedrooms, a large private pool, a terrace a bit out of the wind overlooking the sea and distant shores. We will be back! It's hard to believe anyone would review Anthemis badly; although this hotel has frequently been confused with another local hotel whose name is spelt slightly differently! The location overlooking the Mediterranean is tranquil, the owners are generous & respectful, staff unintrusive and helpful. To get the best of the location a car is advisable, but it is possible to visit local beaches & tavernas...

Nice location and very nice and kind staff. If i'll ever come back visiting Crete, surely i'll choose Anthemis Residence again!

Stayed here one night. Was a lovely apartment, they gave us a bottle of water and orange juice in our fridge, lovely shower, quite remote but lovely nonetheless

Quiet place with a nice pool, good breakfast and overall great treatment from the staff. Excellent as a hub to explore nearby lagoons, caves and mountain trails. May be a bit too far from the beach for some.

First of all, the hotel staff is very nice and helpful. It was one of the most pleasant and relaxing places I've stayed. They’re very attentive to details. Extraordinarily clean pool. The underground parking keeps the car at a suitable temperature, so that it is not very hot when you want to leave. 20 minutes drive to the center of Chania, 2 minutes drive to the beach in Stavros, a clean, quiet beach...

My girlfriend and I spent a week at this beautiful and peaceful hotel, located in Stavros which is 20/30 minutes by car from Canhia. We take half-board service and I highly recommend to do the same. There's not buffet, but the breakfast is well cooked, rich and made with fresh food. The service and price are excellent.

The location is very beautiful. Near the Stavros beach. The room is big and clean. The pool is cool! The breakfast fresh and yummy. Vicky and all the staff are great.

I stayed here 5yrs so on a work trip with a colleague and we had a great stay. The rooms were spacious but very lackluster, but the service was amazing! We were upgraded at no cost due to our company to the all inclusive package and the food was good and drinks were a bit watered down but flowed freely all day and night! The evening musical entertainment was also awesome, but definitely benefited from...

Ultimately an enjoyable stay but I can't put my finger on the issue(s) with this place. We as a couple went out of season, we expected bad weather but the hotel seems to avoid most rain coming in off the coast, however the wind chilled the pool area lot as it's quite exposed. Not 5* lovely reception area and relaxation terrace but needs some maintenance in places and staff although friendly and helpful need training to get things working more smoothly. Lovely quite spot and well needed rest.

I and my family liked a hotel a lot. The intertaimant team Dorota and Marro the best!!! All inclusive is nice for family with children.

This is a 5* resort from top to bottom. We will definitely go back, lush room 216 with a view you just keep looking at. Staff amazing.

Facilities are readable but for saying it's a 5 star hotel it really is not! Food is bland, repetitive and most time trays are empty. Would have given it more stars but the hotel could do with abit of TLC. Staff friendly and helpful.

For a young family the setting, facilities and hosting were fabulous. We travelled with our children, age 1 and 3. There was everything a young family could need and the host made sure every aspect of our stay was excellent. We would love to stay again!

We had a lovely time at Soula’s!! She’s like a fairy godmother that our toddler fell in love with in our 4 days there :) the playground is great and it’s so great to have food ready in the fridge each day. We had a lovely Easter lunch all together and it was a great first day and way to meet the other families!

We had the most relaxing 4 days! It's such a small and cozy place, where it's easy to get in touch with other families. For the kids language was not an issue at all. Our 3 yo would easily have spent the whole time on the property as there was plenty to do. And of course the host Soula is absolutely amazing!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! We've never been anywhere like this before! It's perfect for families with small kids (under 8 I would think). We went with a baby and a 3 year old and had the best time. It's a small, independent family run place with 7 apartments set around a play area, pool (with every toy you could ever need) and bikes and scooters for the whole family. Unlimited blue lives up to its name and very much more.....a short trip from Chania airport was a welcome start to our arrival. The place is secluded, chill, beatiful view to the sea. The pool is big and clean. Dimitris is a very friendly and helpful host, also funny :) Maybe rent a car, if you travel with kids, as the nearest store is about 10-15 min on foot away. The famous Zorba beach is about 20 min on foot away. The beatiful Kalatas beach is about 15 min by car away. Have fun ! :)

New house on a large lot. From the terrace you can see the sea. Very clean, tastefully decorated. The lower terrace, where there is also a large table, should be protected from the sun and wind and would be a good investment. The location and surrundings are great. I wonder what could be better and there is no such thing. The appartment was cleaned everyday. The swimming pool is very nice and deep - very for swimming, not only for children. Walking distance to very nice beach with three good restaurants. Very relaxed and quiet retreat. A good combination of self catering with the option to dine in the pool cafe if you just can't be bothered.

Nice apartments and houses. Maximum 2 floors. Pool is great, phantastic view to the mountains. Newly renovated during the last years. Friendly stuff, fair prices. 5-10 minutes walk to the beach and bay and some taverns.
