Belmare Hotel in Lardos

Not a fancy all inclusive as advertised.

Great base for Lindos. Tries to be modern and has some nearly fancy looking areas such as the entrance and roof top bar.

Whilst it tries to look like a fancy, premium all inclusive, it falls short. Whilst some rooms boast swim up pools... they are not private or luxurious, nor are they worth it for the view of a bush or the back of another block of rooms.
Our bed was extremely uncomfortable. Felt like sleeping on a pebble beach. The shower could not find a warm temperature, either boiling or freezing. The balcony door had to be yanked open and nearly pull the frame off with it due to rust and decay.
The worst part was the all inclusive. Terrible drinks. And then food... the food itself wouldn't be too bad IF firstly when they advertise timings for the dinner, they didn't start packing it all away 45!!!! mins early.
Secondly, if what was left at 8:15pm (it ends at 9pm) wasn't freezing cold. Then when the waiter was asked if it could be heated up, just looked like a confused deer in headlights and continued packing away and putting out the breakfast options... 45mins before dinner ends. We had to go down the road and buy dinner. All you can expect for breakfast is some bread and a few good grapes... if you're lucky.

To conclude, the attempts at a luxury hotel are noted and present. But fall extremely short when it comes to execution. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, nor would I stay again.
If you do use it as a base for Lindos, you will find ample parking and great bus connections.

Also there are shops and restaurants aplenty around. The beach is a 2 min walk so not all bad. But the hotel itself, really could be so much more.

You can tell that this hotel used to be lovely in it's heyday, but sadly it's in need of a 'glow up'. We arrived around 3pm and had booked two rooms. The other party received their swim up room but I was placed above them even though I had also paid for a swim up room. The male on reception basically just shrugged and told me they were full up, didn't see the room on the list and to go back to reception in the morning. The first night we walked around the buffet and quickly left upon sight of the food and ate at the Italian down the road (FYI highly recommended - super friendly staff and the food was lovely). I went to reception the next morning and was greeted with the least friendliest receptionist I've ever met. This was my 3rd time to this island, first staying in this area, and every other time the staff have been incredible, but sadly this woman acted like she'd rather be anywhere but here. I did eventually get my room and it was lovely, clean and tidy. The only complaint was the bed was incredibly uncomfy. We didn't eat in the hotel once, it is your usual buffet food but on a much smaller scale. We couldn't get a late check out so we had the spend the last day around the pool. The sun loungers were dirty, the smaller pool had tiles missing and it all just looked a bit forgotten about. It's a shame as I did see workers cutting the grass and jet washing, they just need to upgrade the worst areas instead. We were only here for four nights for a family wedding so it was somewhat fine for us, but if we had booked longer I would have been looking for elsewhere to stay. Quiet area, a few nice cafes/restaurants and plenty of supermarkets which are so reasonably priced. I would think twice about booking here.
