Where to stay with pets in Lixouri

They also offer a few minutes (30 maybe?) of water gym in the main pool, and an evening bar, where the staff was playing quizz with the tourists, and dancing and singing

The closest beach to the hotel is extremely small, even smaller than what we saw in the pictures from the previous years, but lots of bars with sunbeds, and food

But the water is very clean and clear and warm, for mid-September. If you want to stay in the hotel, I definitely recommend it

Although disappointed we weren’t expecting much or too bothered. Just think the hotel star rating and what most happy clients seem to think can be misleading for others with different expectations/ standards

We aren’t snobs although strangely I do feel it while I write this. Think modern 3* and you should be happy. Don’t bother with all inclusive unless you want to drink loads of cheap coffee and booze

Most drinks I wanted weren’t included. Local restaurants are cheap enough but there aren’t many it’s so isolated here. Hotel shuttle to nearest town is just a public bus that passes

Nice clean quiet hotel with beautiful garden, two bars, pool and really perfect clean beach with red sand and crystal clear water

The rooms are clean, furniture rather as in 3 or 3,5 star hotel, not as in 4 star hotel in Germany or in the Czech Republic, bathroom is tiny. Wifi connection in every room, but paid (35 euros for a week)

Staff is very friendly, polite. Food was all right, there is always something tasty. Overall we enjoyed our holiday and recommend this hotel

Very big pool with decent view of the hills. 10 minute drive to the nearest town Lixouri which has shops, restaurants, bars, and a ferry service to Argostoli, another town with similar amenities

Nikos, the owner, was extremely accommodating from start to finish. Our flight was delayed meaning we arrived at the hotel at 2:30am yet Nikos stayed up to ensure we arrived safe and sound

He helped us hire a car, gave us advice on where to go and what to do as well as restaurants/bars he liked. Room had everything we needed and even a balcony (surrounded by orange trees)

We enjoyed our stay at this place more than we would have ever expected. It was mainly due to the owner, Nicos, who is a kind, charismatic and skillful man with a big heart

In the lunge area, where you can have a drink or find anything you need, we met some hotel guests who have been coming back for years. This is definetely a sign that the hotel is worthy of a return visit

The curtains can create complete darkness during the night and it's possible to use the AC on a hot summer day. We have always had a great night's sleep here

Very good location right next to the beach and the shops. The cleanliness of the rooms is very good. Very friendly and helpful service.

Fantastic Location 5* Very clean and friendly staff. Bathroom patched up and although clean needs updating with bigger shower cubicles and wall fitting shower spray

Excellent location and good value for money

The views from the sea rooms are stunning. All restaurants, shops and cafes are very close by. The pool has plenty of loungers and is a lovely way to relax

I heard there had been a bar open in evenings previous years but sadly this year closed - I would have used this for a nightcap

The hotel staff are absolutely wonderful and do everything they can to make your stay perfect

All staff and members are really helpful and friendly. We got lucky and we had beach view room and it was perfect. Food and breakfast was amazing and they also took care for us as i am vegetarian

You will traditional food and staff very friendly. If they have available umbrella then they will land us for free which was really helpful in August month

One thing to notice its near sea and other side of port so you always need some transportation

We have been vacationing on the Island of Kefalonia for many years and Lixouri, and La Cite has been our best place to call home while we travel around Kefalonia

Lovely family run hotel We have stayed here many times over the years. Always very clean, staff very friendly and hotel is well located and comfortable.

Absolutely brilliant!!!! The staff are like family to everyone. Janeta welcomed us on our arrival and explained everything we needed to know. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean, free air con, and safe!

A wonderful 2star Hotel Fabulous pool,lots of sunbeds. Excellent snack menu, breakfast included ( buffet style) bread, cheese, meat ,eggs cake. Staff make you feel part of a family

Above all, the team there at La Cite will make you feel at home from the time you arrive until the time you check out, you will be well taken care of during your stay

Has everything you need and more for a 2* in my opinion. Set in nice attractive grounds with a big deep swimming pool. Very helpful friendly staff.

It’s a 10 euro taxi ride to Lixouri, which has some really good restaurants plus the ferry to Argostoli (3 euros each) where you can see the loggerhead turtles

The family couldn't be more welcoming and you definitely leave feeling like part of their lovely family. As someone else has said, we were all given hugs when we left and I genuinely felt a bit emotional to say farewell

The hotel is also well placed for a trip to Petani beach for the most amazing sunset and food in Erasmias taverna. We are already planning a return trip next year

We stayed at the Lazaratos Hotel as a result of booking a Lixouri Bay Beach Club holiday with Trek Adventures (also amazing by the way)

They weren’t bothered when they brought out lunch to us while we were still in the pool! Rooms are slightly dated but spotlessly clean and toilets are not a problem at all (I’m very picky about toilets!!) Every single meal was amazing, and the buffet system was cleverly structured so you don’t have people piling their plates with food

Also, the hygiene was mediocre, as the bathrooms had a disgusted smell, probably coming from the pipes, and the towels were changed only every three days

However, the pictures are misleading, as it's not as fancy as it looks

I just had short stay with my son and was met with a warm welcome from Petros and his team. the apartments are clean, comfortable and have everything you need. The pool area is brilliant, clean and well maintained

I was offered a lift from the airport by Petros but opted to hire a car from next the airport so we could explore Kefalonia in our own way. I'd definitely recommend Zest at xi beach to family and friends

It was only for 3 nights but what a luxury, our own swimming pool!! This combined with the well cleaned appartments - for 10 persons total - and the hospitality of Petros - the patron - We are certainly going back to this beautiful accomodation

A fabulous 5 night stay at Zest. The rooms are well equipped with a full size cooker and a fridge with a small freezer box. Beds are comfortable and regularly changed. Petros is welcoming and hospitable

We took the car for 6 days to be able to visit the more distant beaches, although we found Xi beach convenient (it's about a 10 minute walk to the larger beaches while with an extra 15 minute walk along the beach red you can get to the most isolated but certainly the most evocative part, with rocks, small inlets and spectacular sea)

The rooms are spacious and clean with everything you need. A kettle would have been great for us tea drinkers as a coffee maker doesn't quite work the same

The accomodation is located in a very quiet place, 5 minutes to Lixouri and 15 to 30 minutes to the best beaches in kefalonia. The owners are excellent people Ps

It is cleaned every day, towels are changed every 2 days, there is parking at the location, the internet works quite well

The studio is 6 minutes away by car from Lixouri where you can find everything you need, grocery stores, restaurants and you can take the ferry to Argostoli The rooms are very clean, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need

We stayed in a cozy apartment, with a large and comfortable double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower that, despite not being big, suited us well, and a balcony with view to the sea and surrounding mountains

Four parking places are available with no extra costs (renting a car is essential to explore the island). Lixouri village is less than 10 min away by car, where you find supermarkets, restaurants and shops

The most beatiful beaches can be reached by car, 20 to 50 min driving from there. The service was excellent, the apartment was always clean! We had a pleasant stay and highly recommend this place!

Great location, just outside the town centre but a five minute stroll from it. The family who run the hotel are very friendly and helpful, they also run a restaurant nearby
