Aura Boutique

We stayed 1 week at Aura’s boutique hotel and we couldn’t enjoy it more! Clean rooms, great view and delicious breakfast. Big thanks to the whole staff for your services and your friendliness!

We spent the days around our wedding staying in the hotel and Anastasia and her team could not have been friendlier or more attentive. The rooms are modern, well appointed and way above average for Lixouri, easy parking, great sea views , 30 second walk to the sea. Breakfast whilst basic was different every day, hand made and served with a smile and incredibly tasty. Great nights sleep, and just 5 mins from Lixouri town. If you want a premium night or two this is the place to stay. Very popular. We had a great time. Julie and Steve

We stayed at Aura Boutique Hotel from Aug 22 to 31, 2023. We are a family of 3 adults and we were given a very roomy suite on the ground floor. The beds were super comfortable (I really enjoyed the firm pillows); spacious bathroom with plenty of soap, shampoo, toilet paper); great smelling and absorbent towels; and an air conditioning system that not only worked, but kept the room nice and cold. The location of the hotel is right on "Fikia Beach". Fikia Beach is composed of fine, redish sand. It's a perfect beach for those who are not good swimmers and for children as it deepens very gradually - unlike many other beaches in Kefalonia. A set of 2 lounge chairs + 1 umbrella will set you back a mere 5 Euro!! Christina will be happy to take your orders for food and/or drink and deliver them to you. Prices are extremely reasonable. The very best part of staying at Aura is the ownership and staff. The owners, Anastasia and Dimitris, the owners, will make you feel at home from the very first "hello". Olga will take great care of your room every day. And Marina, with her cheerful disposition, will greet you every morning at breakfast. Breakfast has a good choice that changes every day, with one exception: the omelet. Delicious! You must absolutely have the fruit salad, topped with local yoghurt and honey. We cannot wait to go back!

Nice hotel, very clean and with a very comfortable bed. Loved the pillows too! A variety of breakfast foods with a different savoury pastry option every morning, with friendly and attentive service. A mini supermarket nearby.

The breakfast was outstanding, with great omelets, home-baked cakes such as orange cake, and some of the best spanakopita I've tasted. Anastasia was a warm and responsive host. She upgraded our room to a larger suite as she felt bad that we had missed one night due to a missed connection. She was also helpful in arranging transportation for us to tour the island during our brief stay. The room we had was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. On the down side, the shower was a little difficult to negotiate given the sloped ceiling on the third floor and my husband's 6 foot 2-inch stature. Also, there is really no place at the hotel/boutique inn to sit outside.

I would come to Lixouri as a child many times but we would always stay at the family home so never experienced hotels. Last year -July 2022, was my first hotel experience as I lost my father in 2020. The Aura soon became a home away from home. The beach right in front, short walk to the main square and for me close to the cemetery. This family run boutique property is comfortable and clean. Family running it was very attentive and pleasant. Always so helpful. The only thing I would say is that the shower is not closed so the bathroom gets very very wet after a shower but that is. It enough to mark this cute property down. Breakfast was lovely too. I will 100% be staying again and thank you to the owners for being so amazing.

Just had a lovely week at the Aura Boutique Hotel. The hotel is in a lovely location and is beautiful. Everywhere is so clean, rooms are cleaned to an excellent standard every day, their cleaner is the best! The breakfast was delicious, different savoury and sweet options daily plus omelettes, boiled eggs etc on request, followed by a lovely fruit salad with yoghurt and honey. The owners can not do enough for you, asked about options for a sunbed on the beach and by the time I got back with my towel they had provided me with a fold up sunbed that I used all week! They have just opened up a restaurant next door and the food and service was again amazing so definitely recommend. This was my first solo holiday and my third time in Lixouri, I love this resort and can't wait to come back to it and the Aura Boutique Hotel, thanks to everyone there you are the perfect hosts.
