Our group stayed for 2 nights, and wished it had been longer. An absolutely wonderful and magical place. The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful, gardens full of flowers, & views to the sea. The rooms are very well appointed, with everything you could need. Staff helpful, friendly and professional. The restaurant serves absolutely delicious food, & has a really good wine list. All in all can...
Kinsterna Hotel is an exceptional establishment that I discovered last year, and I was so impressed that I immediately made a reservation for this year. This luxurious hotel offers a remarkable fine dining experience; the breakfast is incredibly abundant, and their restaurants are truly outstanding. They even cultivate all their vegetables on-site, which adds a unique touch to every meal. Each room...
This beautiful view is amazing! It's worth coming again in this life❤️
We (a family of 4, kids aged 8 and 10) got back from 6 nights at Kinsterna the week before Easter. It was possibly the best hotel experience we've had as a family of 4, everything from the room (the family suite with a great view, plenty of space and storage), the food (the best buffet breakfast I've had with the daily home-made cakes, pastries, local specialties and garden produce) to the impeccable...
Kinsterna Hotel is a truly enchanting retreat that masterfully blends luxury with history in a beautifully restored Byzantine mansion. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality, and every detail of our stay was thoughtfully curated. The rooms offered breathtaking views of the lush countryside and Aegean Sea, while the serene hotel grounds, complete with elegant pools...
This was one of the most beautiful places I have stayed at. I wish I had longer to explore the gardens and expansive grounds. I am surprised that so much of the dining and drink options were closed in October as there were many guests looking for additional food and beverage options aside from the main restaurant.

The stay was in a good location and was comfortable and clean. However we had a top floor room and were woken up by very loud banging. Turned out they were replacing the roof and we were not warned.
Management couldn’t credit us because we prepaid but they gave us breakfast. Not much we could do. Just make sure there’s no construction going on when you book!
If you are looking for a basic hotel, but clean, comfortable with the best shower you can imagine, comfy bed and located 2 minutes from the beach, than you are at the right place. We would definitely come back.
The hotel is lovely. Clean and comfortable and very welcoming friendly service. The breakfast was excellent. Lovely sea view. We were on a pre booked touring holiday but wished we could have stayed longer to see more of the area. Would have liked a kettle but that didn’t ruin our visit! Recommended.
The best in Monemvasia
Strategic location, near to everything you need in the area. Hotel design just renovated, room comfortable and clean, amazing view from the Balcony. Breakfast full of variety. Guest welcomed from start to end. A Hotel with A BIG H!!!!
Good location, very close to the entrance to Monemvasia. Also, it’s about 200m away from a small but very clean beach, you can jump into the sea anytime you want.
We had gone with a group the previous weekend, we arrived in the evening, the single room I had was frozen, it had a small air conditioner which should have worked at least two 3 hours before! It took 4 hours until it warmed up because it was also cold. The breakfast was very poor and when it ran out they never replaced it

Amazing venue in an Olive Garden. Rooms are spacious sparkling clean providing an environment of peace and tranquility. Staff experienced and polite. Breakfast is a real culinary experience. Not to be missed for a truly unique experience.
Great stay at Liotrivi, we were there early in the season and it was peaceful and quiet Rooms are spacious and clean, the estate is kept superbly and we could enjoy breakfast under the olive trees The staff was very friendly, they speak Greek and English and have been very helpful throughout Special mention to Marthelene, as she walked us through the history of the estate, the oil tasting and gave...
Amazing place, 100% real homemade food from scratch. Family of 4 stayed for couple of nights as we’ve organised the Christening for our little one.Our event was organised outside in Olive tree garden!
Kids loved it. Food was stunning from the breakfast to lunch and our event. Good selection of wines. Staff was really helpful and kind all times.Absolutely recommend.
Excellent experience about olive oil, its production in a fantastic environment. I enjoyed the explanations and the tasting of the different oils and spreads. They do honor a fantastic tradition of Greek healthy way of living shared with the world
We had such a great time ! The welcoming and the professionalism of all the team was outstanding. The accomodation is incredible. The food at their restaurant is delicious, made with fresh local products. A special mention for the private cooking class that we took and for the olive oil tasting experience and explanation that was done with a lot of passion. We definetely recommend and we will surely...
Beautiful estate for spending relaxing days surrounded by olive trees. It is very well kept and made with a lot of love to details. The hotel offers a wine and olive oil tasting, beautiful dinner and breakfast. Pay attention to the old olive mill at the reception,
the antique furniture and the classic music in the yard. Perfect location to visit Monemvasia, the beaches and fish taverns.

Fabulous hotel, very helpful staff, great views. The walk up the hill was a bit difficult for us only because of age and heat but otherwise great location.
Large room, parking, towels for the beach, excellent location to explore Monemvasia
Large room with great view and balcony
A large room, large balcony, very quiet and a beautiful view on Monemvasia.
Although the hotel welcomes large tour groups, it was also a good stay for us as a couple on our own.
Perfect stay for your visit in the castle village
Nice and friendly staff. Clean room, good breakfast, quiet surroundings.
Room and property were clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely return and recommend tonfriends.

Fantastic value. We paid a few pounds more for a "superior" room and were given room 17. Two balconies, with wraparound views. Certainly not a £50 view!! Can't rate highly enough. Right on the causeway so very convenient. Spent a very happy afternoon just sat on the balcony taking in the view.
Small room but great location if you’re just staying for one night to see the island. Room gets a little noisy in the evening as there is a pub downstairs. Other than that it’s a value for money place to stay.
Situated almost immediately by the bridge to the island, AKTAION Hotel was quite comfortable, and well positioned for restaurants. My room was one of the smaller ones, but it’s balcony faced the island and the sea. I would most happily stay there again if the opportunity occurs.
Beautiful and clean place with lovely staff.
According to the Greek hotels categorization they absolutely deserve 3 stars!
Older hotel. No elevator very small room
Conveniently placed at the bus station from Athens. The staff were nice. Clean room with view of the Monemvasia itself. Quiet room despite having a bar on the ground floor. Very good value for the price.

My wife and I loved our stay--the room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast everything we could have wished for, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Perhaps the best thing was the balcony and the views it afforded of the town and the sea...magical!
Room and breakfast was fantastic. Suggest the chairs need upgrading as very unstable and uncomfortable. View from the room was the absolute best
Such a wonderful hotel within the castle! We loved our stay here. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the staff was very helpful and breakfast was fantastic! We booked Room 10, a suite with sea view and terrace (which is shared) and while the room was spectacular, we weren't really able to take as much advantage of the shared terrace as we would have liked. One of the rooms opens directly out to...
We were fortunate to have a room with a private terrace with lovely views over the town. Breakfast buffet had a good selection and the sheltered courtyard was a lovely place to eat. We enjoyed watching the moon rise from the cocktail bar, and particular praise goes to Georgios the bartender who plays great music and mixes a mean mojito.
Super convenient location, amazing view and beautifully decorated rooms. The breakfast was delicious with fresh food and drinks. Staff was very polite. We hope they keep their prices reasonable so that we can visit again at some point in the future.
Beautiful hotel right in the heart of the castle! They offer an amazing buffet and the rooms are clean with all the amenities you need

The room was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with our morning coffee. The staff who greeted us were incredibly friendly. We highly recommend this place.
Our room was large and comfortable, with 3 levels: one for the bedroom, one for the living area, and one for the bathroom. (This is a hilly area and the buildings are original, so the multi-levels are to be expected.) There was a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, sink, and kettle. We had our own seating area outside our room but did not use it. Instead, we enjoyed the terrace with a view...
Excellent place
A well-appointed and comfortable historic property, staying in a castle! Despina is a wonderful host, and staying inside the castle walls is worth the effort of stairs.
Big and comfortable room. Great location. It was nice to stay inside Monemvasia.
This was such a charming and beautiful place—small, quaint, and perfect for our needs. The location was ideal, just steps from the water, and full of the quiet magic of village life (we even heard donkeys passing by in the morning!). Our host, who lived upstairs, was kind, welcoming, and truly embodied the spirit of the town. A helpful man at the entrance assisted with our bags for a small tip, which...

Amazing stay in the heart of magic island
Our 4 nights stay at Ritsos GH was excellent! Many thanks for nice and delicious breakfast, we were really impressed. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the room service was in time. Thanks a lot for your hospitality and kind support for the luggage.
Magnificent
We had our 4 days holiday and stayed at Ritsos GH Monemvasia. Everything was much better than expected! Perfect breakfast and very comfortable room. Thanks a lot!
For our own apartment in a centuries-old city complex we paid very reasonable rates for a magical stay. Breakfast is provided by a cafe next door— lots of delicious choices and a lovely shaded patio to enjoy it in. Apartment has a kitchenette and nice bathroom, two AC units that kept us cool, a comfortable bed and windows with plenty of light if we wanted it. Wish we had booked more than two nights...
During our stay in the castle of Monemvasia we passed by Ritsos’ house. The house where the well-known poet lived for a large part of his life and it is fully renovated.Definitely worth to be visited if you happen to find yourself at this beautiful fortress.
You can't be in Monemvasia and not stay at Ritsos/ Malvazia hotel. We had the loft for a family of 4 and it was just perfect for out needs: quiet, very clean, everyday they tidy up our room, the breakfast was incredible. Extremely clean and tidy. Friendly staff and in a good location but it's an old building and you can see it.
Pros:
- Friendly, helpful, polite stuff
- Clean and tidy rooms
- Wonderful view
- Taken COVID19 measures
Cons:
- In need of renovation, very old premises and design. Door security questionable
- Squeaky beds and bad sound insulation
- At least a 15 minute walk from the bridge to Monemvasia
- Outrageously expensive compared to the service but is to be expected given the touristic magnitude

Fantastic location and the view of the ocean from our room. Breakfast was super good, the best one during our trip in Greece. The property is not new and there was some smell of old wood in the room. I hoped to use the fireplace as it was cold outside but they didn’t have wood, so it was disappointing.
Don’t miss Monemvasia
Monemvasia is an amazing place to visit. Felt like we were living in a medieval castle. The room was comfortable with a nice balcony. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Definitely a highlight of our trip.
Wonderful Hotel, it was such a cool place to stay and walk around and explore history so close. The hike up the mountain was an adventure and worth the views. Definitely
a must when visiting Greece.
An amazing experience
We hired the family room that sleeps 5. Good bathroom and comfortable living area. The kids loved living within the walls of the Castro which was an amazing experience. The views are breathtaking. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and looked after us well. Highly recommend.
This is a very nice hotel with lots of character right in the fortified town. However, if you have any mobility problems the hotel’s location and rooms may be a challenge. Lots of uneven walking and stairs and our room had some steep stairs in it and was a little difficult to get around in. Parking is on the road and you’ll have to walk about 300 metres to get to the hotel inside the old town.
Unique property that has incorporated natural environment into decor. Breathtaking views.

The suites are nicely located if you have a car as they are a 3 minutes drive from Monemvasia but also offer a pool. The suite we had was spacious for a family with 2 kids. Staff was very nice. I just wish the pool could open later than 6pm especially as sunscreen is not allowed
The scenery here is very good. It seems that the temperature is higher, but the cool breeze is very comfortable. It is really good to have a vacation. The hotel has a seawater swimming pool. The sea is just opposite the door. Even if you don't go to the sea, it is beautiful to listen to the sound of the waves at night.
As with all hotels and residences the staff here make all the difference each and every one are friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks here. Our room at klelia hotel was nice clean and comfortable, with a sea view balcony. The hotel has a good position from the centre of Gefira (about ten minutes walk) and from Monemvasia (about twenty minutes walk). The lovely girl at the reception is extremly kind and professional.

+ price for rooms, car parking , location close to the sea, panoramic seaview, pool, clean rooms, helpful stuff, bar, close to Monemvasia and citycenter.
- waterpool needs to be clean more better .
A small but nice hotel, especially since it has a Saltwater pool and the Sea is possibly 50 meters away. They handle the covid19 problem with success, especially for breakfast. We booked a Superior Residence with Sea View for one day. The overall experience was great, especially the view was amazing. Not as expected. Don't book the double rooms, seems like they collect all the broken accessories here, there was not even a knife in the drawers. The bigger rooms bear more resemblance to what the photos show and initially we...
Cheap place with a great view. The whole place is in need of renovations, but for the price we paid I am willing to overlook that. Sadly the place also wasn't cleaned properly when we came. The kitchen is poorly equipped and the available dishes...

Negatives: outdated decor, a sewer smell, and a bed that wasn’t particularly comfortable. Positives: fantastic view, and the host was kind and guided us on how to reach Neapoli for Kythera, as the route shown on Google Maps was misleading.
Lovely owner and clean rooms with comfy beds. The views and balconies are lovely also. Unfortunately, the bathroom is a little too basic for me and smelled a bit of sewers at times, I appreciate this won’t be the properties fault. It was very clean and shower pressure was great.
