A beautiful hotel with history and character set in the rural rolling hills of the Aegean. The views from the main terrace are beautiful, and it was nice to indulge in jams, olive oil, wines, eggs, and honey made right on the property. The hospitality and service at the beautifully designed pools was great. The cuisine at the restaurant was excellent.

What a magical place! It is somewhat hidden, a very narrow road in the hills gets you to the hotel. Drive up to the parking gate and buzz reception, who will let you in. You will be met by a member of staff in a golf car to take you with your bags to reception and then to your room. This was a lovely hotel. Rooms were spacious, beautiful setting. Pool was very nice, prices in the restaurant were a bit high but breakfast was delicious, I was very impressed with the wide selection of pastries available. Overall, a fantastic stay.

One of the most beautiful hotels we’ve ever enjoyed. An architectural gem and meticulously maintained. Caution: there are lots of stone steps to navigate throughout the property and a shortage of handrails so not ideal for people with limited mobility.

Absolutely superb!!! A bit pricey but totally worth the expense. It is an unforgettable experience and we are planning to go back as often as we can afford to. Even our dog absolutely enjoyed himself.

Perfect spot next to the causeway. Takes 15 minutes to walk to Monemvasia Basic and comfortable budget rooms with balcony. Right next to the bus arrival point from Sparta. Restaurant pretty average but there are so many other great places to eat in either the ancient city or the harbour nearby.

Ideal if you want to be at Monevmasia but want to skip staying within the castle. Perfect view of the rock and the sea, relaxing coco-mat mattresses, rooms are modern and clean. If you are coming to Monumvasia and want to stay in the old city then you will be subject to parking your car at least one km away and walking to your hotel over cobblestones. I chose this hotel because it had free parking and is close to Monemvasia, perfect for older people who have trouble walking great distances. Nice breakfast buffet.

Great hotel with great services. We stayed there for 3 night and everything was perfect. Astonishing view of the castle and the sea and huge parking. The only bad thing is the noise isolation that is not there at all.

We wanted to stay for one night but stayed in this Hotel for two. First: we are travelling the Greece and every night staying in different hotel. It was our 7th night. Sooo... It was the hotels of 4, 5 stars...etc. But the guys from Filoxenia Hotel were the first where to us was offered (for example) a antimoschito device. And the hairdryer (finally) was working properly. For us this is the best hotel in Monemvasia: beautiful and clean rooms, each with its own balcony, breathtaking view, the hotel is spotless (very diligent, helpful and nice cleaning team, like everybody else around), has a terrace on the beach where they serve drinks and food (opened till 12 at night, and we had there the best Dakos salad), plus they have sun-beds.. What more can you wish for? Well...

Lovely people, they adapted quickly to my restricted diet (without dairies) and were always very hospitable. Loved them as well as the beautiful place, where your breakfasts are served next to the sea.

Filoxenia means hospitality and is a really appropriate name for this place where a lovely staff did his best for our stay to be the best. The place simple but confortable and clean. Just completed our stay here. A+++. Staff, accommodations, breakfast, parking, hospitality….. all very good. Extremely convenient to the local town and access to Castle town. The 2nd floor room is all by itself with private balcony!!! το καλύτερο!!

If you are looking for a basic hotel, but clean, comfortable with the best shower you can imagine, comfy bed and located 2 minutes from the beach, than you are at the right place. We would definitely come back.

Good location, very close to the entrance to Monemvasia. Also, it’s about 200m away from a small but very clean beach, you can jump into the sea anytime you want.

The rooms are very nice but no coffee pot or telephone if that is an issue. Wonderful buffet breakfast and late evening bar but no restaurant. Our room had a balcony overlooking the sea.

Old hotel undergoing renovations. The ladies wanted more amenities than were offered. The men thought everything was good enough. Great view and is just a few steps from everything downtown. The grocery store is a short walk away.

We came to the hotel around 20:00, directly from the beach, hoping to shower. But there was no hot or at least warm water! We left the water running for 5-10 mins it was still cold! As we were with 8 months baby we had to warm the water in a kettle which we brought ourselves for preparing her meals. Apart from that room was big, beds were comfy, close to the shops, parking places nearby... but please...

The hotel is well situated. The views are amazing. The swimming pool and the sea are good for swimming and lounging. Make sure to stargaze at the swimming deck in the sea at night! Staff are nice hard working people.

The place was empty and it was past lunchtime and yet they accommodated us with open arms. Food was delicious, terrace has gorgeous view overlooking the sea, and the staff was kind, helpful and courteous. What's not to like? I would definitely recommend not only the restaurant but the hotel too, which has a swimming pool.

The location gets 5 stars. Right by the sea with a lovely deck so you can go swimming. The disappointment was breakfast. We stayed here for an overnight stay during our road trip and it was just fine. I’m not sure if I’d stay here for a long period as the room is a little small and outdated. The location is FANTASTIC, right on the beach! However it does get noisy at night from the cafes right underneath. WiFi was a little spotty as well in our room. Excellent location in a simple hotel that is very clean and comfortable. The bathroom/shower is excellent (by Greece standards) Spacious shower recess with a hook for the shower hose so you can wash your hair with two hands.😂😂😂. Comfort, cleanliness and quiet characterize this wonderful space. But, in addition, the professionalism at the highest level and the kindness of the owner is something I have not encountered anywhere else. We had an obstacle with the car and she dealt with it as if we were her relatives until the problem was solved. I also thank her publicly.

A hostel built with love, passion and respect for fellow human beings. We were impressed by details in the room that you do not find in even five-star hotels. For example, two sleeping pillows, one soft and the other harder so that the customer has a choice. The incredible king size mattress, and of course the cleanliness. The Cyrenia Guesthouse is excellent. Very clean and comfortable, I felt like I was in my own house, the bed was very comfortable and so soft, the cuisine cozy. It's located near the sea and close to taverns with fresh food. With parking place. The owners very helpful and kind people. We recommended, we had the best sleep and time there!

Very unique! The old town is a little reminiscent of Mont Saint Michelle in France in terms of age, narrow winding streets without cars, etc. Rooms were nicely done while still keeping character of the castle and rocky surroundings. Comfy beds, quiet, one of a kind, memorable experience.

Simply excellent. Stayed here for one night- attentive staff, clean rooms some half built into the cliff face. Stone arches. It find itself on the not so busy part of town with an unparalleled aperitive terrace. They also give good advice on your travel plans and how to make the most of your trip in the town and elsewhere in the Peloponnese.

We arrived all of a sudden, however, the personnel was unbelievably kind and friendly. We asked for a simple room just for a night but they offered an upgraded one with sea view (and the Monemvasia rock) for the same cost. Great swimming pool. We had a lovely stay, close to the citadel. We are especially grateful for the honesty of staff and management. I forgot a precious and emotionally meaningful ring in the room and the manager took immediately care of it and sent it to our home. So thankful!

There are no words to describe Monemvasia itself. One of the most unique and stunning settings in the world. The hotel itself was charming with beautiful views. The breakfast was lovely too and we liked that we could take our trays back to our private balcony and enjoy it quietly. The room was basic but totally fine since we didn’t plan to spend much time inside it.

We loved Malvasia! We got a room with a balcony - great views!! Super cute room, spacious enough, very clean. Very attentive staff and easy check in. Amazing, chill place at good price. There is very well maintained swimming pool (with sea water) and the apartments are decently equipped for few days stay. The residence is beautiful, with a lot of flowers and stunning view.

Good options to spend one or two nights in Monemvasia. Clean and big room. Though a little bit dark due to the narrow streets and the ground floor location. The bathroom could needs some renovation. Big and fresh breakfast buffet is served outside, but occupied by many intrusive cats. Staff didn’t care when the climbed the tables and eat the leftovers.

Fantastic little castle town and hotel. Great view of the sea and the staff is very welcoming and speak decent English. They gave us a free 357 ml bottle of a local sweet wine as a gift. Very delicious. The only downside is that they are on the farther side of town so you'll have to haul your suitcase over some bumpy roads and stairs to get there. It is very quiet on that side of town however

Our room at klelia hotel was nice clean and comfortable, with a sea view balcony. The hotel has a good position from the centre of Gefira (about ten minutes walk) and from Monemvasia (about twenty minutes walk). The lovely girl at the reception is extremly kind and professional.

Great hotel, great location, the best people. We had a realy good time. Hotel is close to the center of the new city of monemvasia (3 minutes on foot) (and 10 to the castle). Our room was big and comfortable and the owners made us feel at home. I now this may sound a bit cliche but it's just the truth.
