If you are looking for a basic hotel, but clean, comfortable with the best shower you can imagine, comfy bed and located 2 minutes from the beach, than you are at the right place. We would definitely come back.

Good location, very close to the entrance to Monemvasia. Also, it’s about 200m away from a small but very clean beach, you can jump into the sea anytime you want.

The rooms are very nice but no coffee pot or telephone if that is an issue. Wonderful buffet breakfast and late evening bar but no restaurant. Our room had a balcony overlooking the sea.

Old hotel undergoing renovations. The ladies wanted more amenities than were offered. The men thought everything was good enough. Great view and is just a few steps from everything downtown. The grocery store is a short walk away.

We came to the hotel around 20:00, directly from the beach, hoping to shower. But there was no hot or at least warm water! We left the water running for 5-10 mins it was still cold! As we were with 8 months baby we had to warm the water in a kettle which we brought ourselves for preparing her meals. Apart from that room was big, beds were comfy, close to the shops, parking places nearby... but please...

If you are coming to Monumvasia and want to stay in the old city then you will be subject to parking your car at least one km away and walking to your hotel over cobblestones. I chose this hotel because it had free parking and is close to Monemvasia, perfect for older people who have trouble walking great distances. Nice breakfast buffet.

Super friendly and great location!

Great hotel with great services. We stayed there for 3 night and everything was perfect. Astonishing view of the castle and the sea and huge parking. The only bad thing is the noise isolation that is not there at all.

Great hotel, great service, great stay, great breakfast... clean, comfortable, nice and efficient staff, safe in the room, fridge, balcony... what else can we ask for?... well, maybe a room a bit bigger but it was fine, not a big problem. No doubt this is the best place to be when in Monemvasia (which, also, is a great location to visit).

We arrived all of a sudden, however, the personnel was unbelievably kind and friendly. We asked for a simple room just for a night but they offered an upgraded one with sea view (and the Monemvasia rock) for the same cost. Clean and really large room, great balcony and super cute bath. 5 stars to the staff also!!!

Great swimming pool. We had a lovely stay, close to the citadel. We are especially grateful for the honesty of staff and management. I forgot a precious and emotionally meaningful ring in the room and the manager took immediately care of it and sent it to our home. So thankful!

Fantastic value. We paid a few pounds more for a "superior" room and were given room 17. Two balconies, with wraparound views. Certainly not a £50 view!! Can't rate highly enough. Right on the causeway so very convenient. Spent a very happy afternoon just sat on the balcony taking in the view.

Small room but great location if you’re just staying for one night to see the island. Room gets a little noisy in the evening as there is a pub downstairs. Other than that it’s a value for money place to stay.

Situated almost immediately by the bridge to the island, AKTAION Hotel was quite comfortable, and well positioned for restaurants. My room was one of the smaller ones, but it’s balcony faced the island and the sea. I would most happily stay there again if the opportunity occurs.

Conveniently placed at the bus station from Athens. The staff were nice. Clean room with view of the Monemvasia itself. Quiet room despite having a bar on the ground floor. Very good value for the price.

Fantastic location and the view of the ocean from our room. Breakfast was super good, the best one during our trip in Greece. The property is not new and there was some smell of old wood in the room. I hoped to use the fireplace as it was cold outside but they didn’t have wood, so it was disappointing.

Don’t miss Monemvasia Monemvasia is an amazing place to visit. Felt like we were living in a medieval castle. The room was comfortable with a nice balcony. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

Wonderful Hotel, it was such a cool place to stay and walk around and explore history so close. The hike up the mountain was an adventure and worth the views. Definitely a must when visiting Greece.

An amazing experience We hired the family room that sleeps 5. Good bathroom and comfortable living area. The kids loved living within the walls of the Castro which was an amazing experience. This is a very nice hotel with lots of character right in the fortified town. However, if you have any mobility problems the hotel’s location and rooms may be a challenge. Lots of uneven walking and stairs and our room had some steep stairs in it and was a little difficult to get around in. Parking is on the road and you’ll have to walk about 300 metres to get to the hotel inside the old town.

We were fortunate to have a room with a private terrace with lovely views over the town. Breakfast buffet had a good selection and the sheltered courtyard was a lovely place to eat. We enjoyed watching the moon rise from the cocktail bar, and particular praise goes to Georgios the bartender who plays great music and mixes a mean mojito.

The location is good, but it took a long time to find it. The facilities are old. The service staff is nice. There are many mosquitoes in the house and no screens. It is suitable for self-driving, but there is no public transportation nearby.

Amazing, chill place at good price. There is very well maintained swimming pool (with sea water) and the apartments are decently equipped for few days stay. The residence is beautiful, with a lot of flowers and stunning view.

The room was beautifully furnished and very clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful and included local delicacies. The only drawback was that the bathroom was small and it got quite wet when using the shower.

Wir konnten das Zimmer schon um 15 Uhr beziehen. Weil es sehr heiss war waren wir froh für das schöne gekühlte Zimmer. Auch für den Kühlschrank waren wir sehr dankbar. The place was empty and it was past lunchtime and yet they accommodated us with open arms. Food was delicious, terrace has gorgeous view overlooking the sea, and the staff was kind, helpful and courteous. What's not to like? We stayed here for an overnight stay during our road trip and it was just fine. I’m not sure if I’d stay here for a long period as the room is a little small and outdated. The location is FANTASTIC, right on the beach! However it does get noisy at night from the cafes right underneath. WiFi was a little spotty as well in our room. Excellent location in a simple hotel that is very clean and comfortable. The bathroom/shower is excellent (by Greece standards) Spacious shower recess with a hook for the shower hose so you can wash your hair with two hands.😂😂😂. We have water views from the balcony and the beach is a short walk away. Could not ask for more.

wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! a warm and friendly family runs a beautiful hotel in a perfect location within the castle walls. breakfast is delicious. this is a paradise! :) pro tip: put on your bathing suit and splash in the surf along the rocks. if you're feeling adventurous, there's a sturdy ladder you can cling to while you dip your toes in the choppy but beautiful water.

Fantastic little castle town and hotel. Great view of the sea and the staff is very welcoming and speak decent English. They gave us a free 357 ml bottle of a local sweet wine as a gift. Very delicious. The only downside is that they are on the farther side of town so you'll have to haul your suitcase over some bumpy roads and stairs to get there. It is very quiet on that side of town however

Our room at klelia hotel was nice clean and comfortable, with a sea view balcony. The hotel has a good position from the centre of Gefira (about ten minutes walk) and from Monemvasia (about twenty minutes walk). The lovely girl at the reception is extremly kind and professional.

Great hotel, great location, the best people. We had a realy good time. Hotel is close to the center of the new city of monemvasia (3 minutes on foot) (and 10 to the castle). Our room was big and comfortable and the owners made us feel at home. I now this may sound a bit cliche but it's just the truth.
