Hotels with sea view in Monemvasia

Our group stayed for 2 nights, and wished it had been longer. An absolutely wonderful and magical place. The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful, gardens full of flowers, & views to the sea

It is not flashy, its immensely understated, and whilst its not brand-shiny new (there are small aspects that could be modernised or updated), but the really important things are there in spades

The rooms are very well appointed, with everything you could need. Staff helpful, friendly and professional. The restaurant serves absolutely delicious food, & has a really good wine list

The free activities running that week were authentic and charming (egg-staining activity that didn't quite work and left everyone peering into the pot and researching on google, was a wholesome and perfect activity for all ages), the candle-making that my kids adored (using their own beeswax from the hives) and the donkey ride and hen-house visits and the ever so slightly old-fashioned but brilliantly...

They even cultivate all their vegetables on-site, which adds a unique touch to every meal. Each room boasts its own distinctive decor, and the views of the surrounding landscape are simply breathtaking

The rooms are very nice but no coffee pot or telephone if that is an issue. Wonderful buffet breakfast and late evening bar but no restaurant. Our room had a balcony overlooking the sea.

Probably my favorite hotel I stayed at on my trip to Greece. Beautiful view! Very close to the old city on the rock. Close to restaurants. Very friendly and nice staff that give wonderful recommendations!

If you are looking for a basic hotel, but clean, comfortable with the best shower you can imagine, comfy bed and located 2 minutes from the beach, than you are at the right place. We would definitely come back.

Good location, very close to the entrance to Monemvasia. Also, it’s about 200m away from a small but very clean beach, you can jump into the sea anytime you want.

But down at heel. Sea view rooms also have great view of main road into town. No double glazing ☹️. Friendly staff. Average if plentiful breakfast. Not value for money.

The grocery store is a short walk away

Great hotel with great services. We stayed there for 3 night and everything was perfect. Astonishing view of the castle and the sea and huge parking. The only bad thing is the noise isolation that is not there at all.

If you are coming to Monumvasia and want to stay in the old city then you will be subject to parking your car at least one km away and walking to your hotel over cobblestones

Nice place. Clean and comfortable. Very friendly and hospitable. Good breakfast and great views of the Mediterranean and the Monemvasia castle.

I chose this hotel because it had free parking and is close to Monemvasia, perfect for older people who have trouble walking great distances

The sink was actually in a countertop next to the bed which was a bit strange at least. On the bright side, the pool (filled with sea water) and the surrounding space was very nice

I forgot a precious and emotionally meaningful ring in the room and the manager took immediately care of it and sent it to our home

The hotel is just at the end of causeway, with a wonderful view of sea and the Rock. The reception is very friendly and helpful, providing us the map and info of Monemvasia. Room is spacious, but the bathroom is small.

We paid a few pounds more for a "superior" room and were given room 17. Two balconies, with wraparound views. Certainly not a £50 view!! Can't rate highly enough. Right on the causeway so very convenient

Situated almost immediately by the bridge to the island, AKTAION Hotel was quite comfortable, and well positioned for restaurants. My room was one of the smaller ones, but it’s balcony faced the island and the sea

Very basic but it seemed clean. Saw a few ants on my bed but slept fine and didn’t have any insect bites when I woke up. It’s walkable to the main part of Monemvasia across the bridge and they have parking

The standard room we booked was a bit small but it was the last one available so maybe that plays a role, the others in the photos look bigger! Fantastic location and the view of the ocean from our room. Breakfast was super good, the best one during our trip in Greece. The property is not new and there was some smell of old wood in the room

Don’t miss Monemvasia Monemvasia is an amazing place to visit. Felt like we were living in a medieval castle. The room was comfortable with a nice balcony. Definitely a highlight of our trip

Monemvasia is really an interesting, beautiful location. Be aware that this is not convenient - there's a long walk into any hotel there and lots of stairs

A splendid hotel, magnificent rooms installed in an old bastion with a view of the sea: you feel like you are sleeping in a castle! Magnificent bathrooms. Breathtaking view of the old town and the sea

Even though we didn’t have the view in our room it really wasn’t a big deal and we were out exploring most of the time anyways! The staff was very friendly and the included breakfast was excellent and served in a beautiful building with outdoor terraces with garden and sea views

My wife and I loved our stay--the room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast everything we could have wished for, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind

Our room was spacious and comfortable, the staff was very helpful and breakfast was fantastic! We booked Room 10, a suite with sea view and terrace (which is shared) and while the room was spectacular, we weren't really able to take as much advantage of the shared terrace as we would have liked

One of the rooms opens directly out to it (while room 10 does not) and the guests staying there kept their door open most of the time and took up most of the terrace with their laundry and things

We were fortunate to have a room with a private terrace with lovely views over the town. Breakfast buffet had a good selection and the sheltered courtyard was a lovely place to eat

Amazing, chill place at good price. There is very well maintained swimming pool (with sea water) and the apartments are decently equipped for few days stay

We booked a Superior Residence with Sea View for one day. The overall experience was great, especially the view was amazing. The room was clean, Chrisa was very helpful and also the apartment was very spacious

At night the air condition started sounding like an air plane, we had to take the fuse out to make it stop, switching it off did not do the trick. In total: Not recommended for 103€ a night in high season

There were some minor issues like the furniture which were dated and there are some spots in the room which could be fixed or painted and there could be a tent in the balcony but nothing serious to affect our mood

The kitchen was functional and there were plates and dishes, also a big fridge. Also the location was very good, only 7 min from the castle by car. We didn't use the air condition as it wasn't too hot

Watch the feral cats/ walk to Mateos on the aminland and he’ll show you the fresh-caught fish he will grill for you…. It’s all a world-apart that you’ll only know by crossing into the tunnel

It was low tourist season making the city easy to navigate

The only drawback was that the bathroom was small and it got quite wet when using the shower

Also, walking distance to my favourite Taverna all trip (O Takis) :)) Had a great four days to explore both Monemvasia and the surrounding peninsula. Will definitely be back when in the area! Felt right at home :)

Wir konnten das Zimmer schon um 15 Uhr beziehen. Weil es sehr heiss war waren wir froh für das schöne gekühlte Zimmer. Auch für den Kühlschrank waren wir sehr dankbar. Am nahe gelegenen Strand konnten wir schwimmen gehen

Very elegant hotel located 5 minutes by car from Monemvasia. Cleanliness, location overlooking Monemvasia, excellent beach 50 meters away. Very tasty breakfast served on a terrace with a special view

The room was spotless, new-feeling, matching interior design, with a little balcony, 'mosquito net sliding door' that also repels sunlight, and a very efficient (and quiet!) AC

1-minute walk to lovely beach (I always climbed over the small hill and had the entire next cove to myself); beautiful water to swim in with a great view of Monemvasia

The housekeeping was great, attention to every single detail. The bed sheets were changed every 2nd day without request! In other words, the sporless cleanliness of the room left a very cozy and comfortable impression

The pool area is nice, the sunbeds are soft and comfy. Really the property is very beautiful! It is lockated in a very quiet area only 5 min drive from the city of monemvasia

Anyway thank you for making those 5 wonderful days that we stayed with you as beautiful and comfortable as it was only possible in the current situation with the virus

Unfortunately due to covid there was no restaurant service. I hope soon it will start its operation as I think I might have seen some tables meant to be for dining

The place was empty and it was past lunchtime and yet they accommodated us with open arms. Food was delicious, terrace has gorgeous view overlooking the sea, and the staff was kind, helpful and courteous

I had a fantastic time at Annema hotel. We did arrive with the BMW riders club Friday night for a two nights stay. The rooms are comfortable and the sea view from the hotel is amazing

The hotel is well situated. The views are amazing. The swimming pool and the sea are good for swimming and lounging. Make sure to stargaze at the swimming deck in the sea at night! Staff are nice hard working people.

The bathroom/shower is excellent (by Greece standards) Spacious shower recess with a hook for the shower hose so you can wash your hair with two hands

We stayed here for an overnight stay during our road trip and it was just fine. I’m not sure if I’d stay here for a long period as the room is a little small and outdated

The location is FANTASTIC, right on the beach! However it does get noisy at night from the cafes right underneath. WiFi was a little spotty as well in our room

Fantastic little castle town and hotel. Great view of the sea and the staff is very welcoming and speak decent English. They gave us a free 357 ml bottle of a local sweet wine as a gift

The only downside is that they are on the farther side of town so you'll have to haul your suitcase over some bumpy roads and stairs to get there. It is very quiet on that side of town however

A small but nice hotel, especially since it has a Saltwater pool and the Sea is possibly 50 meters away. They handle the covid19 problem with success, especially for breakfast

The only problem is if you are planning to stay for two or three weeks, the room is very small, and if you like to buy a watermelon 🍉 it's a problem because the fridge is a bit bigger than a mini bar

Their own fresh eggs, water, tea coffee and other basics complimentary in communal kitchen. Kitchenette in the room was well equipped with complimentary large bottle of water in the fridge too
