Monemvasia, Agios Stefanos 🧭 Map
Our group stayed for 2 nights, and wished it had been longer. An absolutely wonderful and magical place. The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful, gardens full of flowers, & views to the sea
It was possibly the best hotel experience we've had as a family of 4, everything from the room (the family suite with a great view, plenty of space and storage), the food (the best buffet breakfast I've had with the daily home-made cakes, pastries, local specialties and garden produce) to the impeccable service from all the staff (tips from the lovely General Manager George and the attentiveness of...
It is not flashy, its immensely understated, and whilst its not brand-shiny new (there are small aspects that could be modernised or updated), but the really important things are there in spades
The rooms are very well appointed, with everything you could need. Staff helpful, friendly and professional. The restaurant serves absolutely delicious food, & has a really good wine list
The free activities running that week were authentic and charming (egg-staining activity that didn't quite work and left everyone peering into the pot and researching on google, was a wholesome and perfect activity for all ages), the candle-making that my kids adored (using their own beeswax from the hives) and the donkey ride and hen-house visits and the ever so slightly old-fashioned but brilliantly...
They even cultivate all their vegetables on-site, which adds a unique touch to every meal. Each room boasts its own distinctive decor, and the views of the surrounding landscape are simply breathtaking

If you are looking for a basic hotel, but clean, comfortable with the best shower you can imagine, comfy bed and located 2 minutes from the beach, than you are at the right place. We would definitely come back.
We were extremely satisfied with our stay. We would particularly like to highlight the quiet air conditioning and the unique shower. We missed a towel holder and a door handle, the door lock would have to be fixed.
The stay was in a good location and was comfortable and clean. However we had a top floor room and were woken up by very loud banging. Turned out they were replacing the roof and we were not warned
Good location, very close to the entrance to Monemvasia. Also, it’s about 200m away from a small but very clean beach, you can jump into the sea anytime you want.
The best in Monemvasia Strategic location, near to everything you need in the area. Hotel design just renovated, room comfortable and clean, amazing view from the Balcony. Guest welcomed from start to end
We had laundry done and it was SUPER reasonable (10 per large load washed/dryed/folded) Road noise and church bells (Sunday only). Love that they offer family made jelly and jam

Great service, the owner and staff are warm and forthcoming. Great view, parking, the place is clean and well designed. Good breakfast We really had our stay here upgraded Highly recommended
If you are coming to Monumvasia and want to stay in the old city then you will be subject to parking your car at least one km away and walking to your hotel over cobblestones
I chose this hotel because it had free parking and is close to Monemvasia, perfect for older people who have trouble walking great distances
Large room, parking, towels for the beach, excellent location to explore Monemvasia
Amazing views Amazing views from our balcony. Lots of parking. Many seaside restaurants in town. Good breakfast. A bit of an uphill climb from town.
Great hotel with great services. We stayed there for 3 night and everything was perfect. Astonishing view of the castle and the sea and huge parking. The only bad thing is the noise isolation that is not there at all.

The hotel is just at the end of causeway, with a wonderful view of sea and the Rock. The reception is very friendly and helpful, providing us the map and info of Monemvasia. Room is spacious, but the bathroom is small.
We paid a few pounds more for a "superior" room and were given room 17. Two balconies, with wraparound views. Certainly not a £50 view!! Can't rate highly enough. Right on the causeway so very convenient
Situated almost immediately by the bridge to the island, AKTAION Hotel was quite comfortable, and well positioned for restaurants. My room was one of the smaller ones, but it’s balcony faced the island and the sea
Beautiful and clean place with lovely staff. According to the Greek hotels categorization they absolutely deserve 3 stars!
I would most happily stay there again if the opportunity occurs
Very basic but it seemed clean. Saw a few ants on my bed but slept fine and didn’t have any insect bites when I woke up. It’s walkable to the main part of Monemvasia across the bridge and they have parking

I could sit all day and look at the mountains in the distance and the boats coming to the harbor and the sunrise and sunset. October was a great time too visit - not too hot and not a lot of tourists
My wife and I loved our stay--the room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast everything we could have wished for, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind
Perhaps the best thing was the balcony and the views it afforded of the town and the sea
Our room was spacious and comfortable, the staff was very helpful and breakfast was fantastic! We booked Room 10, a suite with sea view and terrace (which is shared) and while the room was spectacular, we weren't really able to take as much advantage of the shared terrace as we would have liked
One of the rooms opens directly out to it (while room 10 does not) and the guests staying there kept their door open most of the time and took up most of the terrace with their laundry and things
We were fortunate to have a room with a private terrace with lovely views over the town. Breakfast buffet had a good selection and the sheltered courtyard was a lovely place to eat

Extremely clean and tidy. Friendly staff and in a good location but it's an old building and you can see it.
Door security questionable - Squeaky beds and bad sound insulation - At least a 15 minute walk from the bridge to Monemvasia - Outrageously expensive compared to the service but is to be expected given the touristic magnitude
Pros: - Friendly, helpful, polite stuff - Clean and tidy rooms - Wonderful view - Taken COVID19 measures Cons: - In need of renovation, very old premises and design

Liked: • Beautiful location • Nice helpful staff • Wonderful view from balcony which was nice and large • Great shower (wasn’t one of those stupid hand held) • Mattress fine • Roomy room • Updated • Great breakfast Would have been nice to have hot water/coffee in the room
Fantastic location and the view of the ocean from our room. Breakfast was super good, the best one during our trip in Greece. The property is not new and there was some smell of old wood in the room
Don’t miss Monemvasia Monemvasia is an amazing place to visit. Felt like we were living in a medieval castle. The room was comfortable with a nice balcony. Definitely a highlight of our trip
An amazing experience We hired the family room that sleeps 5. Good bathroom and comfortable living area. The kids loved living within the walls of the Castro which was an amazing experience
Monemvasia is really an interesting, beautiful location. Be aware that this is not convenient - there's a long walk into any hotel there and lots of stairs
Unique property that has incorporated natural environment into decor. Breathtaking views.

It seems that the temperature is higher, but the cool breeze is very comfortable. It is really good to have a vacation. The hotel has a seawater swimming pool. The sea is just opposite the door
Even if you don't go to the sea, it is beautiful to listen to the sound of the waves at night
We asked for a simple room just for a night but they offered an upgraded one with sea view (and the Monemvasia rock) for the same cost. Clean and really large room, great balcony and super cute bath
The suites are nicely located if you have a car as they are a 3 minutes drive from Monemvasia but also offer a pool. The suite we had was spacious for a family with 2 kids
I just wish the pool could open later than 6pm especially as sunscreen is not allowed
The pool is clean warm and welcoming the rooms are cleaned better than can be expected nothing it out of place for us two very seasoned travellers. Thankyou for allowing us to stay

Amazing, chill place at good price. There is very well maintained swimming pool (with sea water) and the apartments are decently equipped for few days stay
We booked a Superior Residence with Sea View for one day. The overall experience was great, especially the view was amazing. The room was clean, Chrisa was very helpful and also the apartment was very spacious
At night the air condition started sounding like an air plane, we had to take the fuse out to make it stop, switching it off did not do the trick. In total: Not recommended for 103€ a night in high season
The residence is beautiful, with a lot of flowers and stunning view
There were some minor issues like the furniture which were dated and there are some spots in the room which could be fixed or painted and there could be a tent in the balcony but nothing serious to affect our mood
The kitchen was functional and there were plates and dishes, also a big fridge. Also the location was very good, only 7 min from the castle by car. We didn't use the air condition as it wasn't too hot

We specifically requested a room with few stairs and a sea view, and we were given exactly that—an antique-filled Ottoman style room (A1) with a balcony overlooking the main square and the sea—perfect for us
Super friendly and helpful people at reception. We had a room close to the main street with a great view from the terrace over the buildings below to the sea and also to the upper town
It was low tourist season making the city easy to navigate
We had been worried about having to park outside the town gate and drag our luggage through town, but the reception area is only a few meters inside the gate, and the hotel supplied an amazing porter to carry the baggage to our room
We had a fantastic three days! Communication was clear and helpful from start to finish, and the restaurant recommendations were absolutely spot on. Staying in the old town was a real treat, full of charm and character
Be prepared for parking a car on the road to the town walls and then walking in maybe 100 feet to their office. The rooms are in many small building, not at the office

Also, walking distance to my favourite Taverna all trip (O Takis) :)) Had a great four days to explore both Monemvasia and the surrounding peninsula. Will definitely be back when in the area! Felt right at home :)
A pleasant veranda for drinks and breakfast with view to the sea and Monemvasia , also from room balcony
A nice hotel for families and it has access for disabled people. Very gentile and pleasant staff, close to the best local beach. It is clean and with great view. Last but not least, pets are accepted!
Very elegant hotel located 5 minutes by car from Monemvasia. Cleanliness, location overlooking Monemvasia, excellent beach 50 meters away. Very tasty breakfast served on a terrace with a special view
Great place ! The team in charge of the hotel is fantastic, very efficient and friendly at the same time. Access to Ambelakya beach is very easy, and the view of the Monemvasia castro is beautiful
The room was spotless, new-feeling, matching interior design, with a little balcony, 'mosquito net sliding door' that also repels sunlight, and a very efficient (and quiet!) AC

) There was a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, sink, and kettle. We had our own seating area outside our room but did not use it. Instead, we enjoyed the terrace with a view of the water
Excellent place A well-appointed and comfortable historic property, staying in a castle! Despina is a wonderful host, and staying inside the castle walls is worth the effort of stairs.
Perfectly confortable rooms, views to the sea, awesome in-room breakfast, the staff is really kind... 100% recommended!
The room was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with our morning coffee. The staff who greeted us were incredibly friendly. We highly recommend this place.
Our room was large and comfortable, with 3 levels: one for the bedroom, one for the living area, and one for the bathroom. (This is a hilly area and the buildings are original, so the multi-levels are to be expected
If you have not gone to Monemvasia before, choosing Ardamis as your lodging is a WONDERFUL option. We were extremely comfortable as a family of four; the parents had their own room across the facility from the kids

The buffet was delicious and very filling and was included in the really good price. The breakfast balconies offered a unique view of the sea
Great place Great place, super comfortable, clean and spacious. It's a kinda B&B in the old town houses. Breakfast is excellent in the main hotel after a 3 minute walk, which is great anyways to have in Monemvasia
For our own apartment in a centuries-old city complex we paid very reasonable rates for a magical stay. Breakfast is provided by a cafe next door— lots of delicious choices and a lovely shaded patio to enjoy it in
You can't be in Monemvasia and not stay at Ritsos/ Malvazia hotel. We had the loft for a family of 4 and it was just perfect for out needs: quiet, very clean, everyday they tidy up our room, the breakfast was incredible
Lovely receptionists, lovely personnel, very friendly, very open and dedicated in making our stay an incredible one. We extended our booking for 4 more days because we loved it so much
Magnificent We had our 4 days holiday and stayed at Ritsos GH Monemvasia. Everything was much better than expected! Perfect breakfast and very comfortable room. Thanks a lot!

Welcome to a superb end of the world, isolated and yet. The room is very simple but with an extraordinary view of the sea and Monemvasia (10 min by car). This young girl with her lively dynamism was radiant
+ price for rooms, car parking , location close to the sea, panoramic seaview, pool, clean rooms, helpful stuff, bar, close to Monemvasia and citycenter. - waterpool needs to be clean more better .
A small but nice hotel, especially since it has a Saltwater pool and the Sea is possibly 50 meters away. They handle the covid19 problem with success, especially for breakfast
The people who prepared these dishes for us were very cheerful. The swimming pool: splash in the sea water. We regretted only spending two nights there! We come back with our eyes closed
The only problem is if you are planning to stay for two or three weeks, the room is very small, and if you like to buy a watermelon 🍉 it's a problem because the fridge is a bit bigger than a mini bar
The parking should be Asphalt, or even Beton since all your shoes or luggage is covered with a very fine white dust and difficult to remove

It's located near the sea and close to taverns with fresh food. The owners very helpful and kind people. We recommended, we had the best sleep and time there!
Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyable stay.
Disappointed with my stay they had a change in management and had rest something which deleted my booking, I was found another room however it took 5-10 mins for the hot water to come through
Comfort, cleanliness and quiet characterize this wonderful space. But, in addition, the professionalism at the highest level and the kindness of the owner is something I have not encountered anywhere else
We wanted to stay at a small family hotel and called the owner Kyria Polytimi of Cyrenia Guesthouse who was very nice and friendly
When we arrived we got a room at the back (Nr5), facing the small cute garden, which was good since it was not facing the sun and not hot. Nice, very clean room with a large comfortable mattress

I wish we could have stayed longer. A large room with a patio with glorious sea views in a walled castle town. What more can one ask for?! Such a special location with personal professional service
They provided assistance with the luggage as there are stairs to maneuver and parking is not available in the castle. Breakfast was excellent! Amazing bread among other traditional foods to try
I had a beautiful suite with a balcony overlooking the sea, great for watching sunrise and the fishing boats go out to sea. Breakfast was amazing and I was full all day
Wow! What a great experience and the people make it even better! Beautiful rooms, we stayed in the Suite with sea views and balcony
Stayed here 2 nights and loved the room and the balcony with a sea view
We stayed at some incredible stops during our 2 week road-trip through the peloponnese, but Moni Emvasis was our favorite stay! We can't say enough about how incredible the location, room, staff (shoutout Alexandra!), and FOOD was

Beautiful views, adequate water pressure, excellent breakfast. Definitely a great place to stay if you'd rather have the view of Monemvasia than the experience of staying in a castle village. Owners were very friendly.
A must stay!!! What an amazing place! Wonderful view, great air conditioning, clean, and wonderful people! We will definitely be back!!!
Mrs Dora is an amazing host and a good person with sense of humour. We had a great time together! The room was so comfortable and cosy with a beautiful fireplace and mountain view. Breakfast was handmade and delicious
The newly renovated bathroom had shower gel, hand soap, and shampoo. There are bath and hand towels available. There is a blowdryer in the room, along with a frig. There’s a wardrobe from hanging items
This family run property sits on a small bay across from Monavasia. You can easily walk over from the hotel. The room has everything you need. This isn’t a luxury spot, but well appointed
My partner and I were here for just one night and found it just right for what we needed. There’s a stunning view of Monavasia, even though you can’t see the village, you see the rock
