Canaves Oia Epitome - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

This is an incredible place for many reasons. The beautiful and modern rooms, the scenic views, and the pools are second to none. However, what really sets this place apart from other 5 star properties are the incredible staff and the small details they are able to execute to go above and beyond for the guests. Every employee we encountered was a true hospitality professional and the culture this hotel has achieved is very special. I know that maintaining a 5 star property is very tiresome, but management should be proud of what they’ve built.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. We had a great experience. The hotel, room, food, pool, staff and everything you can think of was 5 out of 5. If I come back to Santorini I will stay in this hotel again and again.

Canaves Epitome was the highlight of our 2-week honeymoon across Greece and Italy. We stayed in a room with a private heated pool and stunning sea views, making it easy to spend the entire day on our terrace. The main pool was beautiful and our favorite amenity. If it was heated, we could have easily stayed there all day.

The breakfast and service were excellent. The complimentary shuttle to and from the main town in Oia was a great feature. We also loved the convenience of private showers after checkout before our late flight. The best part? The sunset views—absolutely breathtaking, and the best in all of Oia. If you stay here, you won’t need much of an itinerary; just soak in those sunsets every evening!

Canaves Epitome is a fantastic property. The staff is superb - incredibly helpful and they helped out with all our requests within minutes. Super convenient with communication via WhatsApp.
The breakfast was fantastic - it was our favorite meal every day. We stayed in the hideaway suite (got an upgrade) and this was the most beautiful room I have ever stayed in - super private and modern. LOVED the indoor garden - please never remove this because I want to come back and stay in the same room. All the small gifts throughout the stay also made each of our days feel incredibly special. These touches are what makes a resort ultra 5 star.
The resort also has a pretty good gym which I believe they do not advertise enough - I thought it would be a treadmill only but the gym has e.g., a few machines, dumbbells, 3 treadmills, some yoga equipment etc.

I cannot wait to come back!

We’ve traveled to 40+ countries and have stayed at many hotels around the world…and Canaves Epitome is the “gold standard” of a 5-star hotel. There isn’t a better experience from a service standpoint. I couldn’t recommend this place anymore. Trust me, go experience it for yourself and you won’t be disappointed.

The Canaves Epitome was hands down the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at and we have traveled a lot and stayed at many other five star hotels and resorts. We were in the honeymoon suite with a plunge pool for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Everything at this resort is meticulously curated to perfection. They even put a Velcro holder for my iPhone cord and a glasses microfiber wipe under my glasses. The staff is what puts it over the edge. They are all extremely friendly, kind, helpful, and genuinely seem happy to be there. The food is top notch, the spa services were impeccable, the maids service was very thorough. I could go on and on but if you’re looking for a hotel where you don’t have to worry about anything and can relax and disconnect, this is the place for you. It even smells amazing. We regret coming to Mykonos and staying at a 5 star resort here because we got so spoiled by Canaves. We think we will make the long trip back from the United States in the future because it’s the first time in years that we felt so relaxed. I can’t say enough good things about it. They truly thought of everything.

Everything is designed and organised to ensure your experience exceeds your expectations.
The food was delicious, cocktails made with art and views from the pool is superb.
The service and the team are very hospitable and friendly with a smile at all times.
The shuttle to Oia is a plus and adds a great value to the experience.
Very recommended and definitely will come back.

Me and my wife stayed two nights here as part of our honeymoon and this was easily the nicest place we have ever stayed at! The hospitality was
Impeccable. Everything we requested was provided without issue. Extra towels, ride accommodations, warming up our private pool. Speaking of we got the honeymoon suite which provided the most private Terrance with a plunge pool that was heated (highlight of our stay). The breakfast is complimentary and quite possibly some of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. I got the shakashuka both days and it was absolutely delicious. I was stunned that breakfast of that quality was complimentary as most upscale hotels would charge for this kind of service.

The location isn’t In the center of Oia but the resort provides an easily accessible shuttle to and from the town center. We never waited more than 5-10 min for the shuttle and it was a quick drive there. We actually liked the location as it was way more private for our honeymoon rather than being crowded by tourists trying to get pictures like how we saw other people dealing with at different resorts inside the Oia town center. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would absolutely come back here!

Beautiful! We got upgraded to a beautiful villa and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The views are amazing. The pool was heated at our room. They gave us the most delicious cake for my husband’s birthday, provided champagne, wrote birthday cards and made it so special for him. The food at the main restaurant for breakfast was great, drinks, etc. I only wish the main pools were heated because they were beyond freezing in October but that’s a small con because the pool in our room was heated. Can’t say enough about how amazing this stay was!
