Hotels near sea shore in Split

The gentleman on reception at night time (I didn’t get his name unfortunately) was so lovely, we always got a very friendly welcome upon returning at night and was also great with local recommendations for best beaches in the area

2 minutes by foot to the old town stores and restaurants and cafés, 5 minutes by foot to the seaside boulevard. Hotel offers parking space and their staff helps you move around the car

Great hotel in the centre of Split, 5 minutes walk from the main "riva". Extremely clean room, helpful staff, amazing brerakfast... The view from the bar on the top of the hotel is amazing. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic hotel! We stayed here for 4 nights and loved every second of it! The staff are amazing, Ana on reception was so helpful and friendly. She really went out of her way to make sure our stay was great

Amazing hotel and equally amazing spa. Stayed in a city view balcony room. Good view of the city, but still had a good view of the sea

Clean and very comfortable. Beach facility is very good but don't walk on the wooden floor on bare food. The sea was the living form of the word 'cold' in May :)

Best hotel in the city for sure. The have absolutely everything, the view, nice food, great service, spa, spacious rooms, all. They area bit expensive but you'll not regret a single dime.

Fantastic hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was fabulous, but we were less than keen on the buffet dinner. Hotel is a little isolated so its a bit of a walk to restaurants in the off season.

The hotel was also connected to a beach which has outdoor dining and lots of seating. Parking is available for those who are coming in their own car, however, daily parking charge is kind of high, at €15 per day

The spa had two sections, one for everyone which included two jacuzzis and a swimming pool, and another for adults only which included two saunas, a stream room, a small warm pool, a small cold plunge pool and a relaxation area where you can lay down and just relax while listening to relaxing music in the background

The location is a less than 10€ taxi to town but very walkable allowing for a normal level of fitness. Rooms were spacey and clean, with nice ocean views. Towels were refreshed daily and beach towels were provided

Only issue we had was with the shower, the seal on the shower screen must be broken as we had a pool of water on the floor everytime, and the pipe from the bath taps to the shower head is too short, so you either have to duck for a shower or if you raise it you lose water pressure

Breakfast was ample and good and frequently restocked. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The pool and well-being area was a lovely thing to have available even though we barely utilised them

Nice location 15-20minutes away from Split old town (up a few hills) and close to 2 of the nicest beaches in town, along with the national park above it

If I wanted to explore split it was a short walk away, but was also far away enough that it was great to just relax by the pool and enjoy the silence

Location is good, roughly 5 minutes in an Uber to the centre and the pool area is beautiful, we loved this area

Also, one of the few accommodations that offer a car parking, as finding a parking space in Split is a real struggle. Overall I was super satisfied with my stay at Villa Scalaria and would come back anytime again!

I had a wonderful stay at Villa Scalaria. The staff is super welcoming and friendly! :) The hotel is located in the centre, merely 2 mins from the Diocletian Palace. The rooms are very spacious and clean

The staff at Villa Scalaria (Julija, specifically) are wonderful. They are helpful in helping find activities and the parking spot, ensure you're checked in well, and are generally upbeat and friendly

The rooms are great and the hotel is in a great location to food (like Fife) and activities. One of the thing I loved in the room was the shower; it was spacious and had great water pressure

It is a very nice place, the view is fantastic for the 3 person room we have booked, and the staff there are very friendly, but bear in mind that the door there needs to be pushed with a bit more force.

This hotel is just perfect for a relaxing stay. It is located in front of the sea and beaches in this area are beautiful. The swimming pools and spa with panoramic view to the sea are unique

The one thing our teenage kids loved (and me!) was there was an inflatable water park by the beach! Also please note that there are 2 buildings in this hotel and if you are in the smaller part like we were, you do a lot more walking/stairs/lifts! But you do get the pool on your roof! Breakfasts were really good apart from the coffee queue - lots of variety from the healthy to the more heart attack...

The facilities however overall were very good - one pool on the roof, and two others - one inside and one outside

Rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. Great balcony size, quiet for bedtime, and overall very low noise level. The breakfast was amazing! I wish we had half board so we could’ve experienced dinner as well

I’ve never met a friendlier person who was so engaged into the guests well being and satisfaction. Breakfast was also very taste and the selection is abundant without compromising quality

I attended a three days meeting (more than 100 persons) in Amphora and I can tell it is one of the best organization I have ever seen. Excellent service for lunches and coffee breaks

The highest quality manicure and pedicure with perfect technique and coverage that I have received in Split over the past six months. Service at the highest level, pleasant atmosphere, sterile clean

The rooms are decently sized and very well equipped-there are even ironing boards and umbrellas in the closet! The location is close to the beach and there's an outdoor swimming pool

Not 5 star at all. Just average breakfast. Shower has no pressure regulator, so you can get very hot water. Pool not clean in afternoon. Charge 20 euros to drive you 5 minutes to port. Maybe 4 star.

My only complaint was the food and wine at the hotel’s restaurant, as I found it well below the quality of Split’s better food establishments, but this might be due to Covid and downsized menu

A very upscale place,its ambient is exquisite and posh,the staff extremely polite and accommodating. If you've got the money to spare,do invest in a stay at this hotel.

Excellent people and excellent hotel. Very clean, amazing amenities, and they were very accommodating. We showed up before our check-in and they were nice enough to let us use the rooftop pool

Staff are extremely friendly. Rooms are smart and clean. Rooftop pool is great. Breakfast is simple but tasty. Prices are low. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The hotel premises are great - fantastic infinity rooftop pool, lovely decor, good beds and nice and modern rooms. Breakfast was not fantastic and it was good

Overall it is good hotel, 4 star nice lobby place, room with balcony are pretty good. Swimming pool area not as I expected from pics, but fine as well

The only downside is really the location, a bit too far from the main attractions and most restaurants. If you are OK with walking, it can be a good choice

Room : Comfortable room with facilities, clean and space. Location : 5 minute walk to shopping mall and can walk to old palace and harbor. Food : good breakfast. Service : good

There is a parking open space area in front of the cinema/joker shopping center. We paid 6 euro for 25hours parking, don’t get fooled by “tourist parking” it’s more expensive

The down side is that unfortunately it's not as close to the old town and Palace as other hotels and the walk there though relatively short is not entirely Pleasant being along a busy road

Rooms are nice, could use some rainfall showers. The spa area is peaceful and relaxing. Short 10-15 min walk down the main road to old Split. Mall & Casino around the hotel

It might be a 5 stars hotel in Croatia, but where I’m from this is a 4 stars hotel, sorry. Our room was nice, clean and comfortable enough, but our view was not so pretty

Moreover it has really beautiful and clean inside and outside pool, the jacuzzi and two saunas. Further, the food is very delicious with reasonable prices

Their menu has many healthy food options and all of them look tasty, I especially love their desserts. Finally, I have also tried several massages which I would also recommend. They are really relaxing and beautiful :)

The Marvie is fabulous! The staff is great! Irena and the rest of the staff made sure we had everything we needed. We just stayed there for a week, in a balcony room with a lovely view of the water

The wellness area is great with sauna, steam bath and pool, also the rooms are solid but nothing special even for the superior rooms. The roof top pool was nice to look at but we never got a place as the area is small

Really pleasant stay at this hotel, great facilities, modern spacious rooms and very friendly staff. A little bit further out from the old town, but we enjoyed the walk and getting a taxi was very affordable

I recommend the "Pilots"! And the food at the on site restaurant was five star! We were within walking distance of anything we needed, as well as the water and Diocletian's Palace

Very nice place, and very friendly owner. She was always kind and helpful. Other than most places in Croatia, they even accept cards

The only downside we could see, and that's us being really picky, but in some areas the WiFi was a little patchy. But on holiday that shouldn't matter anyway

Nice,clean rooms equipped with coffee maker,air conditioning and fridge. Quiet street and lovely inner yard included.Affortable price and friendly atmosphere.

Breakfast came with our say and it was wonderful. Great variety, including plenty of great cold cuts. Warm and friendly folks.

I wish that the room had been slightly more spacious, I wish that the bathroom had a fan, and I wish that the hotel were a little more generous in terms of the toilet paper in the restroom (either providing two rather than one extra roll or providing larger, double-sized rolls)

We arrived on the ferry from Italy and were allowed to check-in before 8am which helped a lot. The lady that dealt with us was incredibly helpful and friendly

It's really a series of appartments served by one reception and the breakfast is in a local restaurant. They were very friendly and the food was great

Although a little way from the old town (15 minute walk) there is a direct bus. Breakfast very good. Reception staff very helpful. Great views from roof, and of course the swimming pool. Would stay again.

You got everything inside!the food..bar..restaurant and poolside bar...massage..spa..jacuzzi.,the workers are too friendly and very helpful but the waiters and waitress in there Wellness Section are the Best!??

Extremely well located hotel within 15 minutes walk of the city centre and port. The hotel is modern and well laid out with spacious and clean rooms

To start with, the location of the hotel is moments from the water and Old Town seaside promenade, so it's absolutely where you want to be It is within part of the historic Diocletian Palace and therefore a very unique building, with some rooms having rustic walls that date back well over a thousand years

As I will leave the hotel to travel around the islands a bit, then return once again to the hotel a week later before my departure, without hesitation, they offered to keep purchases I had made in Split at the hotel for that period of time so that I wouldn't have to travel around the islands on scooters with them

Knowing the ferry I was arriving on with a friend and riding scooters, for some reason, Petar was waiting for us to arrive at the bustling public parking area by the water, and then insisted on carrying some of our bags for the two minute walk to the hotel

(Though the rooms themselves are very modern) The attention to detail in every room is impeccable and the staff, particularly Petar and Ivan are professional, friendly and helpful, and will do anything within their piwer to accommodate you

Who does that!? At the hotel, all rooms are different and filled with all the modern amenities and special touches you would expect from a fine hotel. A wonderful breakfast is served every morning
