This place is a dump. The room is in the basement, no windows, the beds are old and dirty. Bed sheets looked like they have never been washed. The room is connected to a storage room where the owner keeps his old mattresses. We never met the host, the keys were left there, and we couldn't complain as he turned off his phone. Before we arrived, he sent a message asking if we have vaccination certificate. After seeing the room, I think a guest should worry about the basic higene of this "guesthouse". Disgusting place.

Dear Stranger who is reading this, after looking for good reviews about the accommodation, unfortunately I have to disappoint everyone that this is a completely different story.
At the beginning of July, me and three other friends decided to take a trip to Lake Balaton and found this accommodation. It looked good, it was in a good location and it wasn't even that expensive when the four of us threw our money together. We booked it, so far everything has been fine.
A week before our arrival, a nice lady called me and said that the host wanted to use the guesthouse for private purposes and so unfortunately they couldn't accommodate us. It was interesting, but you still understand that somewhere. However, I should have canceled the reservation, which would have included that I might never see the money again. We managed to agree with the lady that we would look for another accommodation where they would book us. This was discussed on a Saturday morning, and then 20 minutes later my phone rang again. The lady said that she had called booking to see if they could immediately redirect the money to the other accommodation and thus we would have to worry less about sending the money. Booking did not like this because it would not benefit them and cancelled our reservation. So neither our reservation nor our money was there at this point. The lady did everything she could to help us, she spoke to the owner of the other guesthouse and he booked the place for us, but it would have had to be paid, but of course our money was with booking. The lady recommended an alternative that could have possibly been resolved, but at this point it was not back 5-6 days until our departure and there was a lot of doubt. In the end we stayed with the original situation and did not book anything and asked for the money back.
I do not want to evaluate the lady who handled the matter - she did everything she could to help us and we thank her for that! This review is for booking and the accommodation owner. Please think before booking here, you will save yourself 2-3 days of anxiety :D

Upon arrival, the owner said that the operator had terminated the contract and therefore could not accommodate us. He sent an email two hours before the reservation, but we had already been on our way by then. After that, we can look for accommodation on the day of the bachelor party. 👎
