Margareta Hotel in Balatonfured

Nice hotel. It was clean and the front desk was awesome.

Good quiet place, clean, food is excellent only one little mistake doesn’t have kettle for me personally is important I need to take my medication 2 time/ day with hot water just sup rip me never ever happened when I’m travelling another hotel and another country always have Good lessons

Very nice hotel, close to the camp next to danubius hotel. Hotel has room where to save bikes. Biking is common around Balaton. Outside pool and wellness also perfect. Dinning was perfect, breakfast and dinner were perfect, I can recommend. More smiles from staff ;)

What we liked: Good check in experience Pillow menu Modern and clean Plenty of storage in the bedroom Sofa and lounge area in the room Balcony overlooking the pool Plenty of car park spaces What we didn't like: Dinner was a buffet style, and the choices did not look appetising at all. Most options looked like they had been sat under the heat lamps / bain maries etc for a considerable length of time. Some of the dinner choices appeared to then be presented for breakfast in the morning.... who wants ratatouille for breakfast ?

We had a lovely stay there. The staff were very kind,professional, and helpful (except the ones at the breakfast). Our room was clean, spacious, with a nice balcony. The walls and not thin, soundproofing are really good! The bathroom is refurbished, everything is new. The bed was comfortable, the bed linen was clean, smelling fresh. Our room was on the 3rd floor and didn't have wifi access. It was some kind of connection problem. They tried their best to accommodate us, and they offered a new room on the second floor, which had wifi. The breakfast was good, great selection, warm and cold food. The only downside ,as a lactose intolerant person, I would be happy to see lactose free options, but not even lactose free milk... This should be improved! The wellness area is small but clean and has 3 different saunas, I loved it! I think in a 4 stars hotel bathrobe should be provided... but it wasn't a problem, I used the spa towel they gave us (also, the towel should be much bigger and better quality). Kettle and fridge would be nice to have in the rooms. The hotel has a big parking area, you need to pay around 3 euros per night, but it's convenient. I think currently you can not find a better deal in Balatonfured. We would definitely return! Thank you, Hotel Margareta! 😊

I recommend this hotel..we stayed for the first time as a family of three (with one small child 2,5 years old) for 3 nights and it was very comfortable (the room was big in comparison with other hotels), silent, clean, the food was delicious, staff polite, we'll come back. We didn't have the chance to try the spa but for sure next time. They have a small playground and also a playing room for the kids, it's very family-friendly as advertised.
