Hotel Margareta

I can only recommend this hotel!!
We had a lovely stay there. The staff were very kind,professional, and helpful (except the ones at the breakfast). Our room was clean, spacious, with a nice balcony. The walls and not thin, soundproofing are really good! The bathroom is refurbished, everything is new. The bed was comfortable, the bed linen was clean, smelling fresh. Our room was on the 3rd floor and didn't have wifi access. It was some kind of connection problem. They tried their best to accommodate us, and they offered a new room on the second floor, which had wifi. The breakfast was good, great selection, warm and cold food. The only downside ,as a lactose intolerant person, I would be happy to see lactose free options, but not even lactose free milk... This should be improved! The wellness area is small but clean and has 3 different saunas, I loved it! I think in a 4 stars hotel bathrobe should be provided... but it wasn't a problem, I used the spa towel they gave us (also, the towel should be much bigger and better quality). Kettle and fridge would be nice to have in the rooms. The hotel has a big parking area, you need to pay around 3 euros per night, but it's convenient. I think currently you can not find a better deal in Balatonfured. We would definitely return! Thank you, Hotel Margareta! 😊

I recommend this hotel..we stayed for the first time as a family of three (with one small child 2,5 years old) for 3 nights and it was very comfortable (the room was big in comparison with other hotels), silent, clean, the food was delicious, staff polite, we'll come back. We didn't have the chance to try the spa but for sure next time. They have a small playground and also a playing room for the kids, it's very family-friendly as advertised.

The best hotel in the Hungary I have visited so far. We spent here the week on vacation (family of four). Great for children, they have small pool, less then one meter of water, superb for small children and babies. Outside is a lot of places for children and all the area is behind the fence, you do not need to be worry about kids running somewhere away and be lost. Walking distance to the beach (paid in during the high season) and to the city center. Nearby is grocery (Penny). Thank you for great vacation.

Awesome stay!! Rooms are spacious and clean with a big balcony overlooking the Lake Balaton!! Very friendly and helpful staff, great hospitality! The best part about the stay was the food. Their food is to die for!! It was amazing and included both breakfast and dinner. Both were equally good. Dinner had delicious varieties of Hungarian cuisine. We even had a candle lit dinner one one night. They have a bar counter, cafe with fooseball table(100 huf per game) and wellness and spa as well.Lots of space for parking if you are arriving by car. Bus/train station is a 10 to 15 minutes walk or the nearest bus stop is also a 5 mins walk. There is also a penny market and a petrol station near to the hotel. Overall, I recommend this place if you are in Balatonfured.

It was a really good choose because the staff was very kind, the meal was delicious, the room was clean and we can have a rest in the nice new wellness part.

Nice hotel.. only cash at the bar though
