Abacus Business & Wellness Hotel

Stayed there for 4 nights. The room was lovely and super clean but the food personally I thought was terrible compared to other four star hotels in Hungary. The wellness was cold and the big jacuzzi was so cold, no one could stay in it for more than 15 minutes. Other couples were complaining also. We ended renting out the private jacuzzi which was a lot lot warmer than the indoor one. The saunas weren’t being checked on and were too hot and dry a lot of the time with no bucket to be able to pour water onto the hot stones. The private jacuzzi was nice though. The service was lovely. Everyone was super friendly. Overall I had a good time but I wouldn’t come back

I have been in the hotel as a member of the organising committee of an event with international participants from many countries around Europe. The hotel itself is nice and modern, the staff was polite and ready-to-help. Rooms, however, are not really the 4-star I would have expected: constant noise, one tiny soap, not enough toilet paper, no paper tissues, no bottled water, tea or coffee, no water heater, very poor internet access (in the room). The services are not customer centred at all: massage is done by one person from 9, which means that it is rather impossible to book a slot if you attend a conference. Private jacuzzi is also only available when people who don't come here on holiday cannot enjoy: from 8am to 8pm. The bar opens late and closes very soon (10am-10pm), and the bowling place is only available for a group for an extra price. Above all, we had a really indecent experience, too: we were informed that the staff is ordered BY THE HOTEL DIRECTOR not to serve tap water to guests at dinner!!!! On our last night, due to a misunderstanding, our drinks for dinner were not served, and when we asked if they could serve us tap water at least, first they refused to provide (later, we received one glass of tap water per person), and said they are monitored through surveillance cameras, and they'd be punished if they serve tap water!!! I was also charged when checking out for one cup of coffee that I ordered in the restaurant, although I had been previously informed that it was included.
On the other hand, I would like to emphasize that the staff was really nice and helpful, even with our extra needs. They were very flexible when we had to be taken by bus to an external social event location, and every time we asked for something, they were ready to serve! It is quite obvious that they are nice and decent people, but the leadership of the hotel would need a lot of improvement regarding European level services.
