Sleeping in the room was all it was good for, we had issues with the air con and reported it, maintenance was going to attend but instead we had a member of reception come to the room and get us to sign a waiver so they can open the window fully and that maintenance would attend but they didn’t. The shower had broken so anytime it was turned on, it spun round so it soaked the room meaning we had to put towels down(we only had 2) so when we saw the cleaner we mentioned it and they said it would be reported. The breakfast also didn’t have a lot of options so we ended up not eating there

Nice hotel friendly staff clean rooms. Didnt have breakfast as it seemed fairly expensive- there was a Spar shop down the road which had a cafe which was perfect and cheap. Hotel is Buda side but walkable to chain bridge (thru tunnell) with about 7 minutes but would recommend staying Pest side.

Reception staff was courteous and helpful. The room was of a decent size, practical and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The only thing was that it felt very hot in the room. I had to open the window to get some cool air.

Stayed for a night, workers are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was okay but the coffee is a bit bad for my taste. Location is excelent. You're just 10min walk from Fishermans bastilion.
There was no shower gel so I had to come out of the shower to use the one next to the sink. And there is no ventilator in the bathroom. Also, we came back to our room after the morning walk and the housekeeper opened our room without knocking and she saw us coming into the room. Overall okay experience.
Outside parking is 10€, garage 15€ per night.

I stayed in the ibis Budapest Castle Hill hotel during my visit to Budapest in June 2024. The ibis Budapest Castle Hill hotel is situated in the central city centre of Budapest and few kilometres from the railway station. The hotel offers different rooms or accommodation for the needs of different clients from different countries. The rooms are pleasant, sufficiently big enough and equipped with the standard hotel furniture. The rooms are also equipped with air conditioning and hairdryers. The rate per rooms also varies depending on the type of rooms visitors want to stay in. The room I stayed in was very comfortable with a bathroom with a shower. The hotel room has a safety box for guests to store they valuables during their stays. Rooms are cleaned every day and other room services are also available or offered. The hotel has a front desk or reception for guests to sign in or for any other inquiries or information. A restaurant is situated within the hotel with a bar where visitors can enjoy dinner as well as soft drinks and other beverages. The dinner menu has different Hungarian cuisine for guests to enjoy. The ibis Budapest Castle Hill hotel offers a full breakfast to all the guests. Breakfast includes different cereals, tea, coffee, fruits, pastries, eggs, bacon and sausages. Guests can also make use of the laundry service provided by the hotel. WIFI is free and available throughout the hotel. There is a small convenience store situated near the hotel within in walking distance for the guests. Overall the stay at the hotel was very pleasant.

Really pleasant experience!
The hotel is renovated with a cool design, rooms are bigger than expected, cozy and clean.
Staff is amazing ! Receptionists are all professional, friendly and smiling.
Breakfast was high quality with plenty of choices.
I will definitely stay here again.

I slept only a short night here before as morning travel, but it was one of the best sleeps I had in a while. The hotel is one of the cheapests in the area, the staff was very friendly and welcomming, the suite was comfortable and stylish. It will be my hotel of choice whenever I'm in Budapest.

We arrived at the hotel at 1 AM, we were very tired after a long drive but when we arrived, our room was not ready with the amount of beds. There was only 1 kingsize bed in the room for 3 persons, so we had to wait until around 3 AM to get a new room.
Because of that, we asked for extention of our check out for the next day and we got until 2 PM, which was very good because we wanted to sleep and relax but 8.30 AM in the morning they started drilling somewhere near our room and of course a lot of noise out in the hallway as well from other guests, which cannot be avoided of course but the drilling part was so not OK.
Unfortunately it was a very bad experience!

Ibis is a budget hotel, so I try to review it with that in mind… in overall it was ok, the restaurant in the lobby was okey and fairly priced, the location is also cool! Walking distance to many attractions, there is also a car wash service in the garage that was very handy. The downsides were the internet- it barely worked at all and the parking was 15 eur a night.

We were moderately satisfied with out stay.
Key pros include:
1) modern and recently renovated rooms
2) rooms larger than in trafitional ibis hotel
3) good location - close to the underground and trams and walking distance from the Castle
Key cons:
1) shower drain stank horribly. We tried to switch rooms but nothing was available
2) AC is a joke. During our stay in Budapest it was up to 37 degrees and AC was a must but ours just hasnt worked as it supposed. The reception informed us that this is not a „professional AC” and we should not expect anything better
