Kemence Csárda és Szálloda Hotel

We ended up here by pure chance, encouraged by the very good price and reviews. Three days (two nights) in the hotel with breakfast. The room is neat and clean, with a decor similar to the entire facility, which is familiar but atmospheric.
Breakfast buffet very good at a price of 4000 HUF of an adult and 2500 HUF for a child (07.2024)
It is difficult to get along in English, but in the end everything can be arranged somehow.
For a quick and short stay to just sleep the hotel is ideal.

I stayed here for one night on a road trip across Hungary and was surprised at the convenience and quality of the Hotel at such a low price.

Staff didn't speak much english but we muddled through with google translate and they were helpful and friendly.

The rooms to the rear of the property are like motel rooms, which was handy as I was able to park the car right outside my room. Although the Hotel is situated on a busy main road the room was quiet and comfortable and I got a good nights sleep.

All in all very happy with the stay!

This wonderful place is at one time traditional but also completely modern with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The food is incredible, the service is second to none.

We were there for three nights in early January, so the restaurant was really quiet, even if in warmer months I got that there are large events and weddings being held there, so I guess it must be a bit more noisy than what we experienced. We got room nr.4, extra large French size bed, quite clean, the bathroom too. However, we constantly had to ask the staff to bring the heating up a bit, as the room got quite cold towards the evening hours and we had the jacket on at a given moment. The staff was always very friendly and helpful and the temperature in the room was no longer an issue on our last day and night there. I'd recommend the place to those who don't mind driving to the main tourist attractions, by car it's around a 7 minutes drive to the Zoo or the Aquapark. Nice experience! ☺️

Best food in Nyiregyhaza!
I lived in this city for ten years, and never had the opportunity to dine here until a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely the best Hungarian food in the city, even if it is a little ways outside of the center, and you need a car to get there. The buses may run, but it's simpler to take a taxi if you don't have your own car. I was lucky enough to have them make me something I ordered that wasn't even on the menu: Paprikas Krumpli. It was absolutely delicious and I haven't had that in a restaurant in decades, literally! Someone else ordered Paprikas Csirke, and while it was good, I found it to be rather sweet (which is unusual for that dish) and the galuska was over-cooked, rather burnt a little. However, the service was excellent - which is something to bear in mind considering there is a consistent lack of customer service in the whole of Hungary -the desserts were delicious and the atmosphere was very nice and traditionally Hungarian!

I would highly recommend this place, not just to the tourist visiting this city but also to any locals who've never had the opportunity to visit the restaurant. Absolutely outstanding!
