Leonardo Club Hotel Dead Sea

I expected the hotel to be more updated.
The design is very old and the food options are a little bit poor, less than expected.
It needs a proper refreshment.
It is close to the edge of the boardwalk but far from the malls and restaurants.
There is nothing to do at night.
I have been in other hotels of this chain and they were much better.
I wouldn't come here for the holidays.
The hotel is very close to the beach.

Check-in is at 15:00 we didn't get a room until 17:00. The room was set up for 3 people instead of the requested 5 (which they confirmed at 15:00 when we arrived). After requesting 3 times the problem was fixed at only 20:00, and we have a young baby who needed to sleep. The pool and dining room is so packed to the maximum, you just don't even want to go in. The room is in such bad shape. The walls are cracking the door frames are rusting and pealing. The lamp shade is broken. The air conditioner is missing it's front cover. The bathroom is in such need of renovation, every where I look it's cracked, rusted or molded. I have no idea how they are selling this room to ANYONE. The spa is nice but even then, the ceiling vents are disgusting, rusted and falling down. The place is in such need of renovation and it doesn't seem like anyone cares to do so. In all honesty, I would have rather stayed home because it's 42 degrees outside and going to the beech is not even an option. The pool closes at 6pm. The lobby is nice. Hoping for the rest of the stay to improve.

If you imagine an all inclusive fun hotel, you are not imagining this hotel.
The food was not good at all, our room was not cleaned the entire day, we were out of the room between 8 am to 3 pm and the only thing the manager had to say is “you must have left the do not disturb sign on” which we did not. In addition, the hotel is advertising an all inclusive vacation but actively denies alcohol in the pool by not having any alcohol in the pool’s bar and serving alcohol only in the in door bar (3 minutes minimum from where you sit at the pool) and only serving to fully clothed guests. In other words they deny alcohol consumption in the pool by design. In conclusion, this did not feel like all inclusive vacation but a vacation with bad food and service, stay away.

The beach is very nice and overall good value option in ein bokek but the hotel itself seems run down. Eating is only inside and cleanliness was medium at best.
