The refrigerator in the Junior sweet didn't work, they sent a guy up, only to show me that all the fridges do the exact same thing. The room is misleading as well, the description described a separate living room, and it's just all in one space. The pictures are misleading as well. Although we did have a great view of the Dead Sea, the room is just awkwardly laid out.
After a 3 hour late check in, we asked if we could check out late due to this, and was denied. So, please take a look at the different hotels in this area before you book this very expensive experience.
My only observation to keep from a 5* rating would be the bathroom door frame needs repair, the water from the shower has split the wood. Also the makeup light on the adjustable mirror doesn't work, likely needs a new bulb.
The view from our room was looking out to the Dead Sea and was spectacular. I should add there is a lovely synagogue, spa and gym.
Second horrific story - manager of the hotel greeted us and said their all parking facilities are full more than 100% so he pointed us to the car park few meter in the front of the hotel - after double checking twice he confirmed it’s for free because we are the hotel guests - NEXT MORNING we had a fine form the police for not having a parking ticket - when raised this issue with the manager he denied saying it’s free parking and did not care at all to even show tiny bit of empathy to not lie and be honest.
Breakfast - did not even tried anything after seeing how everything was dirty and not fresh + seeing old water and drink waste in the smelly bucket next to the coffee and water machine was an absolute killer!
Room - let’s say very basic but not clean, dirty bed sheets, bathroom not cleaned maybe for 6 months which resulted for us catching a skin infection!!!!
Absolute no go place for the enormous prices this hotel charges - many many improvements needed for this place to meet even most basic standards!!! Please don’t get tricked by their pictures which they advertise
Firstly, upon arrival, we were informed that the two rooms we had reserved for four people were actually intended for just one person. This resulted in an additional cost, despite the reservation having been made through the hotel website with a search specifically for four people.
Secondly, while the breakfast appeared to be plentiful, some items were overcooked and dry. The service was also lacking, with guests having to wait up to 10 minutes to receive a cup of coffee and or an Omelet (which I never even tried to). The dining floor was poorly managed, and the staff - mostly young people from Europe - seemed inexperienced and undertrained.
Lastly, on our final day, we returned to our rooms only to find that they had been locked by the cleaning staff. We also discovered our children's clothes tied up in a bag outside the room, with cleaning staff already in the process of preparing the room for the next guests. Despite the fact that check-out time was still half an hour away, we were told that the manager had instructed the staff to clean the room. We had to ask them to leave until we were ready to check out.
Overall, I don't believe that HS hotel lives up to its claims of being a top hotel in the Dead Sea. It is clear that the hotel needs to make some improvements, particularly considering the high price guests pay per night.
I plan to reach out to the Nakash Brothers to address the issues you experienced and ensure that future guests have a better experience.
The rooms are dirty (They weren't even cleaned before our arrival), the whole hotel is extremely old fashioned (But definitely not in a good way), the swimming pool is tiny and the service is awful.
