Hotel Sporting Club

I am currently staying in the hotel and this is my 5th night. It is now around midnight that I have not been able to sleep due to the constant noise of moving furniture in an open air restaurant, above my room. The noise is very loud that I cannot sleep.
I complaint to the manager of the restaurant and I was asked to take it up with the management. While walking to the reception, I was physically attacked by one of the restaurant workers.
I do not recommend this place, if you are planning a peaceful holiday.

Nice hotel with beautiful pool area and beach.
However negatives outweigh the positives: lack of transportation, poor quality room and staff who hardly speak English.

The lights in the room and bathroom kept flickering as if we're in a disco if even working at all. Long walk to the train to travel the island if you don't have a car. Poor sound isolation as the disco at the restaurant on the rooftop could be heard all night from all directions. Poor quality food in restaurant for dinner and very basic breakfast. Strange policy of not allowing to bring in food from the outside into the hotel - not understood as the hotel food was awful.

DO NOT STAY HERE! It’s a trap and they over charge you for everything! They made me pay 500 dollars extra for my kids to be charged as adults…. They were 2 and 3? I brought them so much business for my wedding and they scammed me out of thousands of dollars. Tony is amazing who owns and runs the restaurant side and part of the hotel but the owner of the actual hotel side is rude and charges for everything. The suites were dirty and the doors didn’t even fully close without scratching the floors. My family members stayed in the same suite as me and I was charged triple of what they paid. Biggest scammers of all time especially if you don’t speak Sicilian. DO NOT BOOK with this hotel. They will try and scam you with all these unexpected charges. RIP OFF!!! The amount of family and friends I had stay at his hotel and the terrible treatment we had was absolutely unacceptable. I will make sure to tell everyone not to stay there.

It is a beautiful hotel with great location. Greeted by 2 very friendly male receptionists during check-in. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by the cleanliness of the room. The floor was dusty and the room was infested with drain flies or TOILET FLIES everywhere - in the toilets, on the walls, ceiling, near the A/C, near the beds. There were at least 20-30 FLIES 🪰in the entire room. While I understand that certain towns were affected by fire and electricity cuts, this hotel was not affected by any electricity cuts, so there was no excuse to have this room in such condition.
We checked in late at night and reported this to the concierge but there was nothing they could do about it. We reported this again the next morning during checkout and the response we got from them was “oh, we shouldn’t have given you the room”. Overall, POOR CLEANLINESS and OVERPRICED. Room was €360 for 2 pax..
