Sup-rooms are okay but nothing to dream about. Ours' had stains on the ceiling. During the wet season I would not want to stay in that room! We had half-board - breakfast, okay, but fresh fruit truly absence (do not know why as for dinners there was always fresh fruit!) Dinners much better with a good choice and fresh fruits and every second night some nice, tasty seafood (salad). Some personnel is really friendly and helpful.... pool is nice and refreshing...beach stony, offering good walks in either directions but don't expect a Waikiki experience...

Great view, and location, marred by the service. We booked a stay here based on the reviews and pictures. The location is indeed gorgeous, and the rooms are old but good. However, there were several things that made the experience average for us:
1. Very secluded: If you don’t have a car, you’re pretty much stranded here.
2. Service: The attitude of most (but not all) staff is not in line with a luxury resort. Lack of basic amenities like kettle and mini bar in rooms, water and ROOM SERVICE was shocking for the price of the place. The attitude of the staff made this even worse as they don’t really seem to care about your experience. We were literally asked to pay €8 for the privilege of ordering food at the restaurant and taking it to our room.
3. Food is average, lacks variety but is well made. There are just very very limited choices for everything.
Overall its in a very beautiful location, but the staff’s unwelcoming attitude sours the experience.

Lots of facilities at this hotel but the main building is so spread out that we had to walk about 150 yards from our bedroom to reception ,we were the last bedroom on one of the wings .
The room was lovely apart from the jammed wardrobe door ,the Glass ledge hanging down ( both were fixed immediately when we complained ) A glass panel on the other side of the window was cracked badly . The most annoying bit was no kettle in the rooms .
The food in the restaurant was reasonable but the same every night . We approached the head waiter and asked for coffee after the meal and was told we would have to go to the bar for tea or coffee .. The payment at the bar or cafe could only be done by a hotel card which we were given . No cash could be used . The result was half the time the receipts did not show the amount charged and you had to wait to query the bill when you checked out.
The Hotel is in the middle of nowhere and consequently the Hotel rips you off on prices , I have travelled the world and never been charged 10 euros for a beer.
I made use of the massage facility at the spa and found the ladies there superb masseuses
WiFi is non existent unless you are near reception and not good quality ,which is a must in this day and age
The swimming pool is superb but not open until 8.30 and closes at 5.00 . There is also a stony beach area which is equipped with deck chairs .
Would I use this hotel again ........ No

A very outdated hotel. Gardens are nice, but dirty skylight windows on entry. Poor service and attitude by some. Poor food options. Machine made Coffee only is disgusting. Trying to hit you with an extra cost at every opportunity. To get you to leave the pool area at around 5pm, they blast ear shattering high volume rap music. The location is terrible as well. Rooms are nice. Room Cleaning staff do a great job.

We travelled here in the middle of May on an all inclusive package with jet2 holidays so some of this review may be Jet2’s fault more than the hotels… the hotel is a good two hours journey away from the airport on some incredibly bumpy roads and Jet2’s ‘express transfers’ really means a bus rammed full of people with no toilet so make sure you go in the airport! On arrival at the hotel we were dropped off at the bottom of the driveway and left to take our own luggage down the driveway to reception (not the hotels fault), on check in there’s no explanation of where anything is, no hotel maps etc, just ‘here’s your room card my colleague will take you to your room’ the room was clean, for a ‘superior double’ I wouldn’t expect two single mattresses pushed together though, only one socket in the whole room though and no mirror on the dressing table so we ended up unplugging the mini fridge and moving that so that the other half could do her hair and make up in front of a mirror. The ‘mini bar’ has a menu on top of it with prices but it’s empty so that was pointless. The bar staff and waiters are all incredibly friendly and they do their best to speak English as well. We went all inclusive and it really does feel like they try to make extra money anyway they can, not many cocktails on the all inclusive menu and €3 for a bottle of water even if you’re all inclusive. The food at the restaurant was always cooked well and plenty to choose from however be ready to fight for a table with bus trips which seem to turn up out of nowhere… lunch isn’t a buffet it’s a menu and it wasn’t a great choice but breakfast and dinner were both good. The pool was nice and clean, the ‘private beach’ really isn’t up to much and is very Stoney so don’t be expecting to walk along it bare foot. Check your tab at the end as well, ours was over by just shy of €40 which probably was just human error, oh and don’t travel in May, wait until June, the weather was rubbish (again not the hotels fault) and the pool bar is closed until June as well.

Maybe once the stay in the hotel has been great but this year is far from what you pay for. We had recommendations by our parents and google/booking reviews but they were before COVID. We paid more than 250 EUR per night for Deluxe room and a baby crib with half-board. Both dinner and breakfast were awful - I had melanzane that was poorly cooked and my husband has sea bream/bass that was pre-cooked and heated on the grill on the moment but not heated enough and cold. It was served as if just dropped from 20cm on the plate, without any decoration or so. Pizza was in so tiny tiny mini cuts that is did not look as pizza. There was almost no variety (5 years ago the food has been gorgeous).
On the first evening we went to dinner and were very very disappointed (it is Italy, not Russia...the food should be better). I spoke to the manager and she offered several options amongst which a refund for the following nights. We agreed that after breakfast on the next day I will check with her and tell us our decision.
Breakfast was awful - we have had better in 2 star hotels. Almost no fruits (2 or 3 types but not good looking and not good in taste as well. The meat was not Italy's prime - obviously cheap choice. And there were only 2 types of cold cut meat and one cheese. Coffee was from automatic machine not Italian style...
And we felt even more offended as we chose the hotel to have carefree vacation with 1 year old. When I went to the manager she said that there is penalty of 1 night and she will refund us only for 3 nights, not 4 as originally said. After I almost got crying at reception as this was a terrible experience she refunded all the 4 nights. However, I have not been so disappointed from any Italian hotel so far...
Their website shows such great pictures of dishes well plated and promises a great cuisine experience with their chefs. My personal opinion is that if the standard has been lowered due to COVID obstacles then the prices should be drastically lowered as well. The manager said they have never received complaints before. Hard to believe.

The room was good and comfortable, the pool looked great, there was very much flora around and it was beautiful. The beach is not the best but if you have.a free hour before dinner it is perfect. It looks like the place has once been build with taste but is now not so well taken care of.
Coffee at the bar is not as good as it is expected in such places - all Italian cafes serve better.
The service was very good.

I will never recommend the hotel. What I can recommend is to go to an accommodation in Cefalu. We paid 1050 EUR in Acacia before the refund and 425 EUR for 4 nights in small apartment in Cefalu when we decided to leave Acacia. The difference of 625 EUR we spent as pocket money - bought panetone from Castelbuono and some other stuff from Deco supermarket for breakfast and went to restaurants for lunch and dinner (2 adults and a small child) and to cafes at least twice a day for 100-120 EUR per day. We were at walking distance from the beach of Cefalu (Lungomare) and were very happy that we went away from Acacia. Food in Cefalu is gorgeous and much more enjoyable.

Nice hotel, above my expectations, wide range of food, clean rooms, nice live music in the bar.

Lovely gardens. Gated resort. You need transport to explore.

(Original review: October 2017 half term week UK.) Wonderful staff, fantastic choice of buffet, amazing pool. Only stayed for 5 days - just wish it was for much longer.

Update: Came again end of May 2018 and was treated like family. Had another fantastic week - clean rooms, excellent service, wider choice of food (which was great even in October when we stayed the week before the hotel closed for the Winter season) . . . and this time I experienced the pool by night. Have uploaded photos because it truly is beautiful. We're heading back again in October we love it there so much :) I am counting down the days.
