Domizia Palace Hotel

The employees are nice. The entire staff kept it professionall and was always friendly (reception, restaurant and cleaning service). Do not expect everyone to speak english!
The hotel needs restoration before even thinking about associating it with a 4 star image.
The rooms are for humble guests and not for those with high expectations. Cleaning is done superficially, for example: the doors seem to have years old dust on them, and the closet overcomes you with bad smell (we did not even put our clothes in it). The shower is extremely small (square) and the 2 glass sides do not meet, but have a plastic curtain in between (for whatever reason). The plastic curtain always sticks to the skin during shower, which is a terrible feeling considering they are not clean at all.
If you are planning to eat healthy, then you will definitely have to eat outside, because the food at the hotel is either fat or sweet. It's always a buffet and don't expect to be able to choose from a huge variety, since the meals only differ slightly from day to day. After having the same food for 5 days in a row, I quit trying to find something new and went there just for the watermelon.
They have animators, a photographer and a bar pianist. The same schedule is followed every day and the animators perform the same moves over and over again. You hear the same songs, no matter if you want or not (at the pool, beach or bar). Not speaking italian makes you an outsider and you won't be able to enjoy any of the staff's performance.
Travelling here without car is a bad idea, since there is no place to visit nearby on foot, no restaurant or supermarket in the immediate proximity...nothing!
The private beach is a plus, but the constant wind will barely let you enjoy the water.
Overall it was good for an one time experience only. If you have other options, just go there.
