I spent 5 days in Barberino Val d'Elsa for a wedding, and Hotel Primavera was the perfect little retreat. The owners were extremely pleasant, welcoming and helpful despite my lack of Italian. Great room, breakfast and atmosphere at an affordable price. Fino alla prossima volta!

In a strategic position for a stay of a few days and visit the heart of Tuscany. In the paths that will be taken to reach the various locations (Certaldo, Volterra, San Gimignano, etc.) you will be able to enjoy splendid views and panoramas. A little dated hotel, it deserves major renovations.

Breakfast was basic but set us up for the day. Mass and Carla were wonderful, helpful hosts. We ate authentic food prepared by Mass. Plenty of places to visit - just a short bus/train ride away. San Barberino val D'Elsa had good selection of restaurants/bistros - 20 minutes walk from Borghetto along a safe pathway next to olive groves - away from the main roads.

It is a strategic place to reach the Chianti destinations, the hosts are wonderful and have fulfilled all our requests, we had dinner, breakfast and slept divinely !! Comfortable, clean and excellent service. The bus for Fiesiole stops right outside. You do need to investigate how to buy tickets, as you can only buy on the bus with Italian mobile and travel without ticket will get you a hefty fine. Breakfast also good

My husband and I spent a week in this heavenly place where peace and tranquility reigns. Immersed in nature and within walking distance of Siena, San Gimignano and other tourist attractions. A very well looked after typical Tuscan structure will tall cypress trees lining the entrance. On arrival my wife and I had a general feeling of story book hospitality and setting. With our late arrival the owner stayed late to greet us with a warm welcome and a tour of the property. The story was complete however when after a wonderful breakfast the next morning we found a tiny fawn wandering near the breakfast veranda that was adapted by the staff after being abandoned. We stayed at the Petrognano for 5 nights on july. The hotel is gorges and very othentic ! Every way you look you see the thinking about all the details. The rooms are very big and comfortable, the swiming pool is beutiful. The bracfast was very nice also. The staff was very helpful and helped to plan our trips and recommended of Several good restaurants are in the near by village - barbarino.

Incredible views in a stunning building, excellent breakfast and staff.

My husband and I cannot express how amazing the Borgo Petrognano is. We booked the Borgo for our wedding weekend in 2020 but finally celebrated a couple of weeks ago. Ilaria and her team were so attentive to us and all of our guests. We received so many compliments on the stunning views, the rooms, the food that was prepared, the list is endless. We could not recommend the Borgo Petrognano enough.

A Beautiful location with plenty of places to visit nearby. The pool overlooks the rolling hills and valleys of Tuscany. The villas are well equipped with fully functioning kitchenette and there is a car port for each villa. All in all fantastic home from home you will not be disappointed!

A magical place that we have been visiting for years ... my children consider it their home in Tuscany. You breathe freedom and beauty. It is in the Chianti region but you can easily reach the whole upper part of Tuscany. It is a few kilometers from: Siena, San Gimignano, Val d'Orcia, Lucca, Volterra, Monteriggioni ... without forgetting the small villages of Chianti.

Our dog was not only tolerated but warmly welcomed which makes every pet owner happy. Enchanting location for events and holidays!

Everything was good, but two things in particular were the view from the backyard and Andrew’s kindness!!!!!

The ambience was pretty good. The surroundings looked very naturally beautiful. Hosts were very welcoming and warm.

The place is fantastic! Such panoramic views! We visited in the off-season, so we did not use breakfast and the restaurant service.

We visited in 2018, and even today I find myself reminiscing about the visit. It was a magical place and the food was perfection. We were there in October, so it was too cool to swim. The views, gardens and staff were more than enough to make it a special place. I especially remember the old, golden dog that came to me at every meal. I just wish I could remember his name!
